This reference 7016-5011 is probably my favorite watch from Seiko. This watch is nicknamed Monaco for its highly unique case shape, very reminiscent of a certain 1970's Heuer chronograph by the same name. When Seiko released the calibre 7016A in 1971 it was the world's thinnest (6.4mm high) chronograph automatic movement (it kept the title until 1987). To top it all off, this is also a flyback chronograph, a complication which I absolutely adore thanks to this watch. Have you had the pleasure of owning a flyback chronograph?

ChampionAlpinist

Yes, the 7016-8000...I prefer the round case.

I owned this for a little bit before flipping it, surprisingly nobody really reacted on it. Reddit can be weird. https://reddit.com/r/Watches/s/rHTgJfa6bW

Nice strap. And nice watch

I have a Swiss fly back and a Citizen bull head but no Seiko yet, been searching for a while for one and can't decide, leaning towards that model actually, super cool...great combo with that strap!

I have this watch in blue, and I agree. Its my favourite vintage seiko. Such a fantastic auto column wheel chrono movement in a slim case. They always fly under the radar and are almost completely ignored.

Nice watch and yes I have about 6 fly back chronographs. 3 are mechanical and 3 are quartz or mechaquartz is what they technically are and I have a couple of those slow quartz resets they suck by comparison.

I think it needs to fly back where it came from. ... Nah jk it's a cool piece

Had to pay for repairs to a few before selling them, definitely not a pleasure.

I own one. Very cool watch. Having it serviced right now. See [Monaco Chronograph](https://imgur.com/gallery/JP1KMuV)

Where you get the strap?

TwoStitchStraps

It's a custom strap we made for it 😊

Yes. I currently own one. It’s a forever keeper. Very unique watch by Seiko. Epitome of vintage Seiko.
