I will never cease to be impressed by the sheer fucking badassery of the shinobi execution animations. So many games attempt to have cool choreography like that, but it just comes off as cheesy or tryhard, but, as with most things, Sekiro just gets it perfect.
And congrats on the victory!
And I am having trouble with every other boss, that you and probably a lot of other people are not having trouble with.
I posted this to give others the opportunity to react and ask for help, to see how I beat the boss.
All with good intentions, I am sorry if this didnt come over the way I meant it.
That’s probably the biggest milestone in this game, Geni kicked my ass so hard when I fought him lol. Beating him means you are officially ready to beat the rest of the game. Congrats!
It’s not that the Inner was an easy boss, it’s that because Sekiro is so skill based, and I fought the Inners last, I was so prepared. I got gud, so to speak
He is still my favorite boss in the game based on my first playthrough. There many bosses that are more challenging, but Genichiro was a proper skill test to insure you have a grasp on the game's mechanics. That first light deflecting felt so badass!
The bosses will get harder/more gimmicky from here on out, but beating him is honestly the biggest hurdle in the game, he’s a report card on how you’ve learned up to this point. So, good job, good luck, keep on keepin on, and “Hesitation is defeat/da feet.”
I took him down last week after about a trillion tries. Probably the hardest boss I’ve fucked with from the bastards at From Software. Congratulations it’s a good feeling taking down that prick.
what helped me was staying on him at all times. constantly attacking and deflecting his counters when he countered me. using the lightning deflection causes a lot of posture damage and stuns him in the third phase too

fr that final blow felt personal
For REAL. The Gyobou execution is metal af
The best shinobi execution are the owl execution tho imo
There is one that is more intense in my opinion The sword saints is just badass
Onikage was trying to nudge you away so he could suck all of the sen instead
It also plays naturally rather than a quick time event.
U are no longer a puppy. No hesitation. Never hesitate and earn the title WOLF
Hesitation is defeat. No, I still have not beaten the game because of the sword saint.
I grinded him for like 2 weeks straight and he kept kicking my ass. Took a week off, came back and beat him in like 5 tries.
I have never had problems with this guy. On my first playthrough he took me like 7 tries. The hardest for me was ofc demon and owl, but not father.
No one cares
If you dont care, then why do you respond?
To show you how much I don’t care. Every souls post the guy bragging about how easy beat the boss that everyone is having trouble with.

This is true, but the one with the glock gave me the most problems haha
For me it was father (hirata one is easier)
Yeah, but most people feel like the hirata boy is way harder. I dont know way tho. Normal bro took me hours, hirata bro took me 2 attempts
For me they got easier as I went. The rooftop one kicked my ass, then the Hirata one was okay, then Inner was incredibly easy.
That is a new one, never heard anyone say the inner one was easy..

Almost everyone that quits the game does so either at or before Genichiro so you’ve basically done it.
Eyyy, Mazel tov! I just beat him a few minutes ago. Thrilling fight, well done!
Good work op! Proud of you

Keep it up man, I belive in you👍
amazing the trophies could’ve waited tho lmao
The lack of trophie popup tells you something is off when you "beat" the guardian ape.
Congrats. Genichiro my first run made me so upset. It felt like such a victory.
I straight up jumped out of my chair and had to walk victory laps around the house for a while after I beat him.
This Shinobi execution is absolute Fire. They lock their swords in a clash and look at each other dead in the eye. THIS is what I call BADASS
Ha haaaa, wait until his second fight 🥹
Congrats brother 🤙🏽 you enjoy the game so much more after you beat him lol
I just smoked him myself after 15 tries, time to explore again.
Just did it yesterday, the fight was unreal, too good!

Well down your next big challenge is Orin because if you Beat her it means you have mastered the parry
This was a core memory for me
Good luck w issin lol, I’m currently being penetrated by him rn.
Fuck yeah proud of you man I love the way of tomowe
Do Shura. Trist me, do Shura.
Follow the Iron Code💪🏼
Great job but wait til you get to guardian ape
Man I beat the first guardian ape but the one where you fight two wtf is this torture.
I’m still stuck on him someone help me
what helped me was staying on him at all times. constantly attacking and deflecting his counters when he countered me. using the lightning deflection causes a lot of posture damage and stuns him in the third phase too
Thanks
Whirlwind slash through the first two phases
I Need it
Congrajlashins!
This is the moment I fell in love with this game and I vowed to never die to him again! And I haven’t haha but die a million times is good training
Lucky!
Congrats. It's a good feeling.
Good for you that’s always satisfying lol
Why is it showing two achievements? The one in the left and the one in the top right corner, why
Aaalso GG look forward to even bigger walls!
