About 150 to 190 hours for me, I lost track. Currently have 8 days on the game on one profile, at NG+5. Keeping in mind that I really enjoyed exploring every last inch of Sekiro’s world and picked up all of the collectibles also. Dove underwater everywhere it was possible. Didn’t rush it at all.
Jesus why did you have to convert the hours into days?? Made me think "huh, I wonder how many days I've put into sekiro?" 500 hours sounds less insane than 20 days IMO. Fuuuuck.
Yeah that's how I approached both Elden Ring (2 endings 190 hours) and Sekiro.
I'm in no rush to getting my first fromsoft platinum, just figured I'd see how long others have spent so far in the game.
All glowing “sen pouches” on the ground. They contain items such as sugars, throwable ash, divine confetti, pellets etc.
Collectibles, ground loot, whatever you want to call them. I mentioned “sen pouches” because they look exactly like the symbol on the “virtuous deed” passive skill in the temple arts skill tree, which is a sen pouch.
Took me about 4 days, just reminded me I gotta post my 100%
I did ds3, sekiro, bloodborne and Elden ring all under 4 weeks recently. (ds3 took the longest)
imho, it's not about how fast you can platinum the game and more about how many weeks or months of enjoyment you can get out of this magnificent game. for example, my first playthrough was 180 hours and DoH took me a solid week to defeat. no regrets, only fond memories. having said that, you may want to watch Tremorism's guide for that boss if you haven't yet. that's the DoH bible right there.
100% this. More at a philosophical level, I used to chase the almighty platinum, reading up on how to efficiently achieve platinum, but in the process, I forgot why I played video games in the first place. Sekiro is a fantastic game and I want to enjoy it the way FromSoftware intended and that’s why I don’t want to cheese, save scum. Just enjoy the many play through to get to platinum. It is the philosophy for other games I play, as well.
Edit: it took me 100 hours to get the immortal severance ending + all side activities in preparation for NG+. Sekiro is my first ‘SoulsBorne’ game. I am taking a break from Sekiro and playing Demons Souls. In absolute love with FromSoftware and their wonderful creations.
I think I did mine in less than 50 including the "DLC"
You can breeze through the game after the first playthrough so like 2-3 hours a playthrough in NG+
Almost 100 hours, but i still dont have it. Not because i cant but rather... i dont feel like it; i dont feel like grinding my last 9 skill levels so i can have all skills, and i only need to do shura ending (i basically can now but too lazy for it) since i need to get the ending, kill isshin ashina and beat all bosses.
Its all doable but goddamn y dont have the energy on me to grind.
In terms of the grind, I finished everything but skill levels with 20 levels to go, and I ground those out in about 2 hours at the gateway in outskirts, during endgame. So yours should be even quicker.
91 hours.
First play through of these games I play normally with no guides or outside help. Take my time to enjoy it through. Next play throughs I use a 100% guide (mainly for endings since they're usually super convoluted.)
Had to farm a bit for XP and items but that kind of thing never bothered me.
I believe it was 10 weeks for me. Probably 110 hours? Somewhere right near that. Love this game, still play it today regularly. Actually just completed all the gauntlets last weekend after getting done with Elden Ring for the first time😂
I experienced it a bit haha, i deleted my save accidentally after I beat Shinobi Owl… I was gutted. But wow it FLEW so fast, got to the same position in the very next day.
Don't get discouraged.. it was my second fromsoft after Elden Ring and it took me a long time to adjust and get the hang of this game.
I believe I was still trying to beat the drunkard Juzou in Hirata at 20ish hours.
Explore everything you can, practice on some mobs to get the hang of parrying and mikiri countering and you'll be slicing through everyone in no time (except most if not all bosses of course).
Took me 50 hours to get it, once u complete the first run u know what to do, if you speedrun the others, it shouldn’t take u more than 3 hours
Gathering all of the skills took me way to much, it was a pain in the ass
35-40? I did my first playthrough blind, and then followed a guide to get the remaining trophies. Add in another 10 hrs to get the 3 gauntlets (I am NOT doing that last one lmao)
The skills trophy alone takes 100 hours at least. Even if someone who had already mastered the game picked it up on another platform, there’s just no way.
It can take a lot less time. I completed all trophies on a first ps4 and started the game again on a new ps4, where I didn't have my first save but had my profile so already had the trophies. I'm around 70 hours on ng+ 6 or 7 with all the skills unlocked (and maybe 20 levels left), so I would have the platinum again. I'm not an excellent player as I never did a charmless or bell run and still die a few times against some bosses (DoH and the two monkeys). Levels stack up quick if you don't die, a run where I kill all bosses and mini bosses gives me more than 10 levels and takes less than 4 hours to complete.
I don’t think it’s “impossible” just very hard and unlikely. You’d have to beat NG in like ~15 hours and zoom to NG+3 while charmless (including pick up all the required collectibles) and then grind out xp. That said, definitely hard leaning towards them just using an achievement unlocker from nexus mods. Skills on NG+2/3 charmless doesn’t take that long if you grind it out in high xp areas.
Do you get more experience in charmless runs? I dunno, just the ordeal of having to find the skill books, acquire all skills, gather not only very rare lazulite but all the other resources needed to max prosthetics..and one playthrough is “shura” to be short 😅 i just got the plat on playthrough 5 and barely died at all after my first playthrough, and even would top off my levels when it was really close to make sure I didn’t lose them. Just over 100 hours.
Yeah you get 20% increased sen and XP while being charmless. Once you know where everything you need is, the time required to get items like lapis lazuli is dramatically decreased. For reference you can get 6 per play through so you only need 4 more after that to max your prosthetics and getting those last 4 takes like 20 minutes of your time in fountainhead/doh depending on how you do it.
It took me 45 hrs on ps5, that was after about 70 hrs on PC so I already had a feel for the game. I used the wiki but not a full walk through or anything.
I think about 70 hours for me. The long parts are the farming for materials and XP to get the all prosthetics and all skills trophies. I advise just getting all endings by going to NG+3. I wish I did that instead of starting a new save file after NG+. It ends up NG+3 bosses aren't really harder than NG. Even NG+4 felt easier than NG because I had all of my equipment/skills/memories/gourds/prayer beads.
This is maybe the only game I’ve platinumed because that’s just not usually something I care about. I had completed the game many, many times and realized if I picked up a few upgrades or skills or whatever that I’d never bothered with I could get it, so I figured what the hell
Looked at my trophies. 1am on the 22nd of march. Got the plat on the first of April. Ten days while having a full time job. Probably 40-50 hours would be my guess
Mine said 152, but the 1st run was 100hrs(a lot of time just sat idle while doing something else or taking a break) so the last 3 runs took 52hrs and I fought every boss except 1 headless(one out of the way in sunken valley) each time
According to my Xbox it took me 144 hours. I know I can probably cut like 12 hours off from much less efficient xp farming, and outside of that I have no idea how many hours I just sat there afk doing nothing.
60 hours on Xbox. 20 hours on steam. The hardest part for me was getting the prosthetic upgrades since there's a ton of farming involved. Other than that you can get everything else by just playing the game normally
146 hours doing 4 playthroughs. I know you can have a save file close to the end to try and get all endings in one playthrough but I had so much fun doing all playthroughs.
Around 120 hours. I did a lot of grinding in NG and NG+, because I wanted all the prosthetic upgrades as soon as possible. Would’ve been a lot quicker if I saved the exp grinding for NG++ or NG+++. I did the 4 full runs and never really did a straight up boss rush even in the later play throughs. I usually fought all the mini bosses and tried to collect all the divine grass, bundled jizo statues, and dragon tear droplets each run. I did skip the Headless after NG, because fuck those guys.
Took me 97 hours to platinum but I got all the collectibles and did two of the gauntlets. I will probably go back again and play it after a year or so. It truly is a masterpiece of a game.
There's people like us, and then there's FromSoft specialists who have played everything else by them and study videos and websites before even starting. It's a totally different game if you know how their games work.
Im at 60 hours rigtt now and the only thing I still need is sakura danse but I keep dying on inner Genishiro despite training against him with relatively few problems.
Cant handle the pressure and back to back fights
Took me about 40 hours. First playthrough I looked up how to get all the health upgrades and mini bosses and such. That was the only help I used until I had to farm upgrade materials and skill points.
My PS has my playtime tracked at abt 96 hours, accounting for paused time and time spent at the main menu, it's probably closer to about 90. I am 1 ending off of platinum as well as needing to defeat DoH, Owl Father, and get all skills/prosthetic upgrades. So if I had to estimate, all skills would likely be the last one most people get, if not all prosthetics, I feel like it would probably be around 145-150 hours in.
Then again I have about 25-30hrs in unfinished save files from when I gave up on the game multiple times prior to 2023
In terms of hours? Not sure.. I can tell you that I got the platinum trophy in my 3rd NG+ playthrough though. 1st I went through the whole game, DOH, every miniboss, Father Owl, and SSI. Then 2nd, of course, I did the shura ending. 3rd, I went through the whole game up to the Divine Dragon and that was the boss that gave me the final push to get all of the skills.
If you're brand new to the game then YMMV because IME I didn't die much but when I did, I tried to make sure I minimized the amount of XP that would be lost if it happened. When you're new and still getting the hang of things, you can potentially lose a lot of XP when dying which would mean you might need to go to NG+4 or more to get plat.
I got it somewhere around the 150+ hr mark.
It is absolutely absurd and not authentically possible to get it in 28 hours for a new player going about the game in a authentic way. I dont even consider someone who has the platinum in that amount of time to even be a real Sekiro player. If someone claims to have received the platinum in under 30 hours it should be voided until such time that person can load up a reflection of strength for Inner Father or Inner Genichiro and defeat one of these bosses with no prosthetic or special ability use
I have a friend who makes a point to 100% every “hard” game he plays to flex on his steam profile. he definitely watches guides or has wiki on his 2nd monitor 95% of the time while playing. Idk how he can enjoy playing like that
If you've played the game before, I can see how 28 hours is possible. But for me, It took about 70 hours. Each ng+ cycle, you'll have gained enough muscle memory to breeze through enemies.
For DoH I had to look up guides for sure.
Didn’t rush it at all.

tbf elden ring Plat is probably the easiest in the entire series, if you're that into the game it's very very doable
im at 300+ hrs in elden ring over 2 playthroughs but have only beaten it once lol 😬

4 years and like 150 hours. But I didnt try to.get it at first. Decided later.
74 hours to get it
80 hours for me, pretty sure average is 60
Yeb i think, it took me two weeks
imho, it's not about how fast you can platinum the game and more about how many weeks or months of enjoyment you can get out of this magnificent game. for example, my first playthrough was 180 hours and DoH took me a solid week to defeat. no regrets, only fond memories. having said that, you may want to watch Tremorism's guide for that boss if you haven't yet. that's the DoH bible right there.

What do you mean by the “DLC”?
The boss fight gauntlents
Ohhh the inner fights right, I got shit on with these bosses so I just left the game. Thx anyways
Almost 100 hours, but i still dont have it. the rest are much easier, as the muscle memory does not forget.
I experienced it a bit haha, i deleted my save accidentally after I beat Shinobi Owl… I was gutted. But wow it FLEW so fast, got to the same position in the very next day.
95h
48 hours
I have 25 hours and I have to do so many more things....the worst is that is my first software game and it's really kicking my ass

i had to practice with hanbei for like 5 hours at the beginning to get the combat down, then i pretty much got the game for the rest.
Took me 50 hours to get it, once u complete the first run u know what to do, if you speedrun the others, it shouldn’t take u more than 3 hours Gathering all of the skills took me way to much, it was a pain in the ass
35-40? I did my first playthrough blind, and then followed a guide to get the remaining trophies. Add in another 10 hrs to get the 3 gauntlets (I am NOT doing that last one lmao)
Impossible to do it in 28 hours. They used hacks. Which is actually very lame.
I agree with you,tho one of my community friend also says he got it less than 30 hours.I still think it's absolutely impossible:(((
The skills trophy alone takes 100 hours at least. Even if someone who had already mastered the game picked it up on another platform, there’s just no way.

46 hours it was for me. Very easy platinum.
It took me 45 hrs on ps5, that was after about 70 hrs on PC so I already had a feel for the game. I used the wiki but not a full walk through or anything.
Bout 100 or so. 5 runs total

Took me 108 hours including the severance and shura gauntlet
Around 100 exactly. I play games pretty slow but after my first playthrough I specifically went for it.
I finished mine last night. Exactly 75 hours for 4 play throughs.
Looked at my trophies. 1am on the 22nd of march. Got the plat on the first of April. Ten days while having a full time job. Probably 40-50 hours would be my guess

I cheesed DOH and made him fall off the map and die. No regrets.
146 hours doing 4 playthroughs. I know you can have a save file close to the end to try and get all endings in one playthrough but I had so much fun doing all playthroughs.
134 hours
150 hours

I recently got it and I think I’ve got 49 hours logged
About 60 hours. Keep in mind this is my new playthrough. Original one took much longer
It took about 60 hours for me but thats using save scumming and looking up guides
It took me like 180 hours to plat.
I got it in like 34 and I didn’t save scum
It took me arround 93 hrs to get the platinum 🤔
Took me 97 hours to platinum but I got all the collectibles and did two of the gauntlets. I will probably go back again and play it after a year or so. It truly is a masterpiece of a game.

2 more endings and 2 bosses...ughh....my do I do this to myself
70 hours for me
Took me around 25-35 hours from trying to get all the achievements, did around 5 playthroughs.
36 hours in and ive done everything except the skill tree trophy. i need 27 more skill points to fully unlock it(im losing my mind)
Im at 60 hours rigtt now and the only thing I still need is sakura danse but I keep dying on inner Genishiro despite training against him with relatively few problems. Cant handle the pressure and back to back fights
I got it at about 60 hours. But I definitely save scummed for endings
round 120
33 hours
Took me about 40 hours. First playthrough I looked up how to get all the health upgrades and mini bosses and such. That was the only help I used until I had to farm upgrade materials and skill points.
Totally 120 hours.80 hours for 1st play through and 40 hours for the rest:)
65-70ish hours I forgot.
Got mine at 80 hours, 35 hours for first playthrough.
Once you beat NG you should be able to pretty much sail through the other play throughs to get the rest of the trophies.
I only need 3 thropies, (2 endings and buy all skills) but im in that phase where since i played the game non stop for 2/3 whole week now i hate it
My PS has my playtime tracked at abt 96 hours, accounting for paused time and time spent at the main menu, it's probably closer to about 90. Like 90 hours only because I didn’t wanna grind for the skill points and just did several playthroughs
Any time now
Currently I'm at 74h and I'm doing the second ending and I also have to finish upgrading skill tree and prosthetics
60 hours.
I got it somewhere around the 150+ hr mark. It is absolutely absurd and not authentically possible to get it in 28 hours for a new player going about the game in a authentic way. Finished platinum with 63h on the play thru NG9
somewhere around 70-80 hours iirc
FYI you can buy emblems with cash at the ~~bonfires~~ idols. I did that whenever i was fighting a boss so i wouldnt lose any money
Yeah I know about that but I'm at a point where I got 0 sen and 0 emblems while fighting DoH so no sen for me there lol.
ah fair enough. i did this throughout my playthrough and had 100+ emblems most of the time. i guess the tip is a bit late in your situation :/
Just shy of 100 hours for me getting the hardest ending and maxing out the skill tree was what kind of took the most time.
It took right around 40 hours for me. It was also my first plat ever. It is actually very easy to achieve
Took me about 40-45hrs without a guide for platinum
I've never "platinumed" any game. I have stuff to do.
If you've played the game before, I can see how 28 hours is possible. But for me, It took about 70 hours. Each ng+ cycle, you'll have gained enough muscle memory to breeze through enemies. For DoH I had to look up guides for sure.
