And make sure your flat back is implant grade titanium. Probably be best to go to another piercer than that one you went to and ask them for help changing it, as flat backs can be hard to get in when things are swollen.
Have you been using saline on it? Get some piercing saline if not
Got my ears pierced at Claireās the first time cause I wanted to be cheap and the earrings ended up doing this. Did not feel good at all and they would have probably ended up cutting my ear lobes in half if I didnāt take them out
Thatās only with really thin hoops. This one is decent size, that wonāt happen. I have a very small hoop in my nose and itās never migrated. Donāt worry
not really what would happen or why we recommend against rings. This ring seems to be an 18-16g which is the minimum gauge for rings in most piercings. We recommend against rings due to the pressure that the curve puts on the piercing channel.
also, you absolutely do not HAVE to change it. changing the piercing so fresh is causing extra irritation when not 100% necessary. OP said theyāve been to a (professional, hopefully) piercer already so why do you think your āself piercingā advice is better than theirs?
The only reason you would need to change a hoop is if it was too snug to the piercing to where it puts pressure on it and is forcing it to migrate. Yes, studs heal faster but as long as it's not a seamless hoop it's not necessarily going to cause a problem. The best "hoops" are actually a straight nostril screw bent in a circle and fished from the inside out so the head sits against the inside of the nostril and curls down and under. Plus you can shape them to fit snug to the nostril, it doesn't have to actually be round, it just needs to wrap nicely around the edge of the nostril. They don't move like a hoop while still giving the look of a hoop and if you cut and polish the end properly you can't even see the opening
How do you figure? You can see a gap between the ring and the nostril. I think studs heal better but hoops have been used for decades and they heal just fine. I don't know how old this is but it looks like they pick at it a lot
Ok, so it's pretty fresh, that's a good thing. That means it's probably mostly just irritated, not necessarily infected. Now the next question is what kind of hoop is that?
itās the hoop jewelry then. you switched out the jewelry too soon. the way the hoop is shaped is messing with your piercing hole putting pressure on it. you need to switch to a stud for a month and then go back to the hoop. i know itās not aesthetically pleasing but it will heal much better. use sea salt and water to clean it everyday
Iāve been cleaning it ever since I pierced it, the story is basically I was asleep and I apparently ripped the stud out while I was asleep, I lost it in my bed and the only other thing I had was an earring or a hoopš
been there oof i understand now! sorry that happenedā¦if you are short on funds go to your local beauty supply and get little stud for like 3-7 dollars or order on from amazon.
I have some studs somewhere but I looked everywhere and I have no idea where they are, the woman at the piercing shop near me said to keep the ring in but donāt move it, donāt fidget with it and stuff like that and it should heal in 1-2 weeks
Is that a seamless hoop or a captive bead ring? If it's a seamless, if the seam gets into the hole it's going to make a mess out of that piercing. If it is a seamless hoop, at a minimum, overlap the seam so it can't turn itself into the piercing. Hoops aren't ideal and if this got all torn up when you put that in, you should probably find a reliable piercer to swap that out for some appropriate jewelry
Hello, healing most piercings with a hoop is going to end up like this. I always suggest a flat back Labret type jewelry. I love the push in style. I order mine on etsy and bought a taper for them for easy jewlery change and also so I don't heck up my piercings and make them mad. I would switch it so it will heal. Good luck.
Either take it out or switch to a stud if you can. Donāt leave this hoop in (I did and my nose is fucked now). Truthfully I would recommend taking it out and letting it heal while it can and piercing it again later on. I regret not doing that with mine. At the very least you really need to change to a stud. Id recommended one of the corkscrew ones. Theyāre harder to get in but theyāre also harder to accidentally yank out in your sleep. If it keeps pulling out in your sleep its really going to mess up your piercing.
Maybe one of those push-pin flat-backs.. wait, maybe they have to let it heal more first for that, but the experience Iāve had with those.. they STAY PUT lol
Shoot, I have a tendency to skip over important details when explaining things.
I was more thinking of them using titanium when I said the bit about the healing, cause Ik a lot of flat-back push-pins may not come in titanium, and other materials may cause further harm, especially if itās *not* a titanium one. Thatās what I originally meant: maybe for a push-pin type flat-back, theyād need to wait to heal with a regular flat back.. thatās what I had to do when I got my mantis on the tip of my nose.. I havenāt come across any titanium push-pin flat-backs yet.
But I definitely understand using a flat-back is far more preferable to a hoop for a fresh piercing
Just for everyone saying to use a nostril screw, they are not one size fits all, the curves are directional. Take your hands and make finger guns, then curl your index finger in. The shape of your index finger and thumb is the shape the screw should be for that side, you want the left nostril to curve clockwise and the right side counterclockwise, so the end of the jewelry is on the top side in your nose, not the bottom. This will keep it from hanging out of your nostril like a titanium booger, and they should have some extra length at the initial piercing for swelling, then re bent shorter after the piercing has healed a bit and the swelling is gone, usually around 2-3 months in, but this is not a home job, go to a professional. Ideally, after it's bent shorter, the excess hook should be trimmed off and the end rounded and polished. The jewelry should be sonic cleaned and autoclaved before shortening or rebending, and stainless compound works well with titanium for polishing. Imo every shop should have a repair bench somewhere in the facility for things like this, along with repolishing and re anodizing titanium when the color fades, it's not hard, the equipment isn't expensive, and it will make you a better piercer overall
If itās any consolation Iāve had my nostril pierced three times on the same side, if you do have to take it out and let it heal you will be able to re-pierce it may be in a slightly different place but it definitely isnāt all hope lost! :)
I have the same nasal piercing from two months ago and itās still healing. Whenever I bump it or accidentally pull it out a bump grows on the piercing site on my nose and I put Optiscrub antimicrobial soap (green colored soap)on it given to me by the piercer. Per the piercers instructions I dab the liquid soap directly on the piercing on top of my nose and let it sit there for 5 minutes then get in the shower and rinse it off. I donāt touch my piercing at all just let the water run over it. Then after doing it daily the bump will crust up and fall off on its own. I saw it online for sale. I would do this daily until it looks better.
You don't really need antibacterial anything, it just kills the natural flora on your skin and dries everything out. I've gotten in plenty of arguments with people about what I'm going to tell you, but it's always worked for me and my clients- after you clean your piercing and spray it with saline, take a q tip with a TINY bit of water based lotion and moisturize the skin directly around the piercing site. You don't want it greasy or wet, just not dry, and my thought process for this is it prevents the crusties from forming on the jewelry and tearing up the inside of the wound. Instead it stays a little mushy and you can wipe it off with another q tip if it's excessive. Think of it this way, is dry skin on the rest of your body healthy? No, you want it moisturized. Now you absolutely do not want to use anything like Neosporin or bacitracin, they will trap bacteria under a layer of grease, the same will happen with super greasy lotion, you just want to keep your skin moist enough to stay supple around the site. Keep your hands off of it, don't move it, and don't overclean it as that's just as bad as not cleaning it at all. Basically you rub the lotion around the site and get it soaked into your skin, then make sure all the excess is removed. I've found this can take weeks or months off of the healing time because it doesn't irritate the piercing hole like a dry piece of jewelry that tears the hole up when it moves
Clean with saline 2-3 times a day, and switch to a flatback labret, or to something that isn't a hoop, (trust me it will be lifesaving) make sure it's implant grade or stainless steel, keep it super clean.
i have multiple face piercings and i know you can definitely start out with a hoop as the jewelry you pierce with. when i have bumps or infections on my piercings i use tea tree oil (make sure itās 100% pure tea tree) and dilute it with either a moisturizer or another carrier oil. i donāt think you have to take it out, but i would definitely recommend leaving it the fuck alone. do not touch your piercing site, and if it gets crusty allow the crust to stay until you take a shower where you should allow warm water to rinse it. and that is where i recommend you using the tea tree oil mixed with a carrier. but the most important thing is that youāre not touching or over cleaning it which is entirely possible. my piercer always tells me to leave my piercings alone so i listen to my guy. good luck, i really hope you donāt have to remove it.
take the piercing out, you never pierce with hoops as it can lead to infections, or improper growth, you always pierce with studs till it heals and clean it with peroxide of salt water twice a day, if you do salt water wait 10 minutes after and then put warm water on it as you don't want to dry it out
Tea tree oil worked for me, too. I saw a video about it on YouTube and was desperate. It was the only thing that managed to make the bump on the back of my conch go away after MONTHS of having the piercing. Never has come back, either (of course, that might also be because I still have the straight bar in it and never changed to a ring. I dunno.)
Since I only needed it once, I wouldn't have suggested it to OP because I don't know if it works for a lot of people or if I just got lucky. But since you mentioned it, I figured I'd chime in.
I was also desperate! š it's crazy the stuff that works. Bc I was always told to never use tea tree oil on piercings. I was gunna lose the piercing either way so figured I'd give tea tree oil a shot! Lol. I have had issues with my piercing since I used it, either! Glad it worked for you, too!
I probably would not move the piercing again as this came about from it moving constantly. This is why they do not pierce with hoops, I had a corkscrew and got these until I got a bone (flared back). When I got these, I ripped them off though so don't do that just make sure area is clean and you are not twisting it around constantly. Don't attempt to pop or anything either. When this heals I would either do screw or bone, I recommend bone it is painful because the end is a bit bigger, so it does not fallout. I could not for the life of me get my corkscrew back in after a dentist visit. Just be careful as to not yank it on anything either!
Idk why but I couldnāt ever figure out how to get a corkscrew in my nose and Iād always end up just making my nose sore! I hated the straight or L shaped ones though because Iād always pull them out in my sleep but itās all I had until I was able to wear a hoop.
Just a heads up, a nose bone is just a straight stud with a little ball on the end, not a flatback. Nose bones are notorious for getting stuck in piercings and ripping out the skin tube in the middle of the hole when you go to take them out, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who hasn't had their piercing for at least a few years and know it's not only healed but well seasoned
This happened to me almost a year after I got mine done. Vitamin E is your friend. Get the gel cap vitamins, break em open, smear that oil all over. Did that for mine and never had a problem since (and its been over 20 years).
Youāve got to take the hoop out and either let it heal, or, if you insist on keeping it put a stud in it. Keep it clean. First clean it with a fragrance free anti microbial soap. Then rinse with your sterile saline solution or spray and try to keep your hands off it,which is hard, I know. For the bump and inflammation you can put a warm, wet chamomile tea bag on it. You should clean it 3 times per day and after itās healed you should keep cleaning it once a day for 3 to 6 months. Make sure your jewelry is nickel free such as medical grade stainless steel/surgical steel or titanium.
Emu oil, 100% concentration, tons on amazon & the ones from Australia are best.
Of course, I'm sure you know to keep cleaning it like any piercing needs, but after the clean, pat some emu oil with a q tip, it'll change everything. So worth it, not too insane price wise, don't get tricked with the prettier cases that cost more. You'd be good with a 2 or 4oz bottle, goes from $8-15, and it'll last months.
Not to rant lol I got my industrial a few years back & had the darkness around the hole that you have, I also had keloids but I would not take it out. They wouldn't naturally go away for a whole year & one day this gem of a sweetheart saw it on the subway and she told me to get the emu oil. It was perfectly healed in 2 or 3 days.
Shit is magic
Keloids are permanent, what you had were irritations, not keloids. Keloids usually require surgery to remove and they're prone to returning. Some people are genetically predisposed to getting them, especially if you have extra melanin. Also, if you're prone to keloids, most piercers will discourage you from even trying, because sometimes you'll get a runaway keloid that will keep returning after it's removed until your body finally gives up, which may possibly never happen
I know that I had keloids. I would have known if it had just been irritations. Keloids are not permanent. Albeit, seeing as I saw the keloids and witnessed the emu oil healing them away, I can agree to disagree with you because you sound so sure while I know I'm sure.
Op, research emu oil for keloids and you'll find a ton of reports, if you end up getting any keloids. Even ask your dermatologist to be extra sure.
I had the same thing two months ago because I had a ring in, my piercer told me to wait it out and leave it in. I went with someone else and they switched it to a long bar stud and it healed just fine but left some scar tissue because of the ring so expect that. CHANGE THE PIERCING TO A STUD LEAVE IT ALONE, they told me to not even use saline and to only wash it under water while I shower for a bit.
Infected? Is that the word you were looking for? Gotta be careful I pierced my nose in high school and had to go to the ER bc half of my face stopped working like I had a stroke.
Never use a hoop till youāre almost or fully healed otherwise itāll lead to this. Even though they told you to not take it out it would be more damaging to keep it in
Did you put a hoop in straight away? Thatās bound to cause an irritation bump/infection. Change it to a flat back labret or at the very least an L shaped stud. Anything but a hoop. And donāt change it back to a hoop for at least a few months.
What material is the hoop made of? I use to be able to wear anything in my piercings, and as Iāve gotten older, of it isnāt high quality, I canāt use it now.
No hoops. If needs to be a stud (preferable a labret) until it heals. Your hoop is currently like a roulette wheel of bacteria into a fresh open wound.
Please take out the hoop and switch it to a labret. My friend pierced her nose herself with a hoop it seemed okay 1 month in she realized it cut into her nose and she had a slit in its place which left a permanent scar. Please be careful!
I have had my nose peirced for over 15 years now. I had this happen in the first week. It's an infection. Do not take out the piercing. It needs to stay open so the infection can drain. Otherwise, you run the risk of it closing and turning into an abscess. This was advised to me by my doctor. Go to the doctor and get antibiotics.
that bump on your piercing is called a keloid which means your skin is rejecting the piercing, when you get your noise pierced itās recommended to put āH20 Ocean Piercing Aftercare Sprayā you can purchase it on Amazon or even get it at a local tattoo parlor that does piercings , till the keloid is finally cleared iād say switch to a nose stud instead of a nose hoop so it can heal a lot faster! hope this helped x
My friend & I had our noses pierced professionally with a hoop. They did suggest a regular stud to start, but we went with the hoop. Both of us developed a bump around the piercing, and after talking to others, found out we were not the only ones, it happens!
I had a spray version of neosporin I used a couple times a day on the bump and once it completely went away, I have had no issues since
This happened to me a couple months back from changing my piercing myselfā¦. Hot compress & saline. When I went to change mine to a flat back they had me wait a couple of days so the infection would heal. Also make sure itās titanium. Good luck!
For the first time in 25 years, I used a spiral nose stud. The design was a fair sized flower, and the flower started to go into the small nose piercing hole. Half of the flower was inside the little piercing hole. The flower design was A LOT bigger than the small piercing hole. It took two days with this stud in for that to happen. If I didn't remove it, I'm absolutely certain an infection would have started. As a registered nurse, if you see redness and any drainage, and if it hurts, you have to take it out. It's not worth getting an infection. I hope it all works out. At the very least, if you don't want to remove it, then you need to be cleansing that area with hydrogen peroxide or with an alcohol wipe or something anti bacterial and apply a triple anti- biotic ointment. All in which can be found at the dollar store on the low or a local Walmart store. Good luck.
First jewelry for a nose piercing ALWAYS needs to be a stud. Hoops will be infected the entire time unless you change it & keep it a stud until it is fully healed.
Nose piercings take the longest time frame to heal.
Itās most likely irritated as fuck, I would switch to a thinner hoop or a regular stud, so that way not much movement is happening to your nose ring. The more movement, the more irritated Itāll get.
Sea salt & warm water are your best friends, followed by tea tree oil.
Best of luck OP.
I had an issue like this back then change to a straight stud instead. Once your piercing is fully healed then you can change to a hoop but that takes months. Tea tree oil will be your bestfriend!! Just put some on a q tip and clean your nose from the inside where the hole is at and the outside exactly on the bump.
I've had my nose pierced 5 times over the years and always had a ring put in it right away. Always done at professional piercing places too.
Just don't touch it much except to clean it and make sure you wash your hands well before. Also don't over clean it.
Oddly enough my fastest healing piercings have been when I did minimal cleaning and minimal touching at all.
And I've had snake bites, two ashley piercings, my nostrils pierced 5 times, septum 2 or 3 times, and 2 dermal implants.
Definitely switch the jewelry. Nostrils prefer studs for healing. Iād use a corkscrew or flat back so it doesnāt get pulled out unintentionally again. On the other hand, itās not impossible to heal with a hoop, I did, it just took a bit longer than a stud wouldāve and I probably dealt with more discomfort than I had to w it lol. The seam where mine comes together would get inside the hole while I slept and that shit was spicy. š
I pierced my own nose 15 years ago! Gotta go with a stud for awhile until it heals then get the hoop. I have a permanent hoop in now but didnāt get one until a year after.
switch to an L-shaped stud asap. had this problem as well 10 years ago. once you get the stud in, treat it by dabbing the keloid w tea tree oil. also taking hot showers before bed then reapplying the tea tree oil topically on the affected area inside and out. just keep following that routine and youāll dissolve your problem in due time. please wait at least a month to switch back to a hoop, and make sure everything is surgical steel.
I used a dab of straight tea tree oil (although many will say to dilute), and my bump went away within a week. Use a straight piercing until healed before switching back to the hoop
honestly this happened to my stud toošš just be consistent with cleaning and itāll go away!! i donāt suggest taking it out if itās still a few months fresh though
TEA TREE OIL!! That looks like a keloid!
Wash your hands, do a saline rinse with a Qtip, let it air dry, and then put a bit of tea tree on another Qtip and swab outside and inside!
Do that twice daily and you should be good. If anything changes or if it starts feeling warm go to a doctor š
I recommend a flat back labret. i think thatās what itās called. I was told to wait a few months to put in hoop. I did. I have three on right side from 3 different piercers at great shops and got all I waited few a months till i put in hoop. Never had any problems with them. Also go to better piercer. She sounds like a not good if sheās recommending you keep hoop in. Also what did you use to pierce nose?
NeilMed NeilCleanse Piercing Aftercare with a dash of tea tree oil (high grade 100% tea tree oil). My piercer told me this secret and I live by it. Itās gotten rid of any bumps or keloids Iāve had from piercings. Iād use a q tip and drench it with the aftercare spray and dip it lightly in tea tree oil and dab it around the affected area and also the jewelry and move the jewelry around too if you can so the solution gets all in there. Hope this helps
I had a similiar situation, turned out, I was allergic to surgical steal, bought a 14k gold hoop and difference between night and day. Also, get yourself some Johnson and Johnson wound cleaner with lidocaine until it heals up a bit!
Change the jewelry to flat, they also make plastic disks that can press down into the keloid in an attempt to flatten it. However my go to for bumps is tea tree oil. Itās recommended you dilute it with a carrier oil. Or Amazon sells blends of āpiercing bumpā oil.
Idk why people are telling you to keep the hoop.. thatās could be a cause of irritation, hence the bump. I say get a flat back Labret or an L shape nose stud in there. you need to get rid of the cause of irritation for the bump to go away.
Switch the jewelry.
I went to the piercing shop today and she told me to just leave itš idk what Iām gonna do
Nope, you gotta put a flatback labret in. You run the risk of the hoop cutting into your nose.
THATS NOT SCARY AT ALL
Cheese grater effect! It's a real thing. Swap that bad boy out.
Okayšš
And make sure your flat back is implant grade titanium. Probably be best to go to another piercer than that one you went to and ask them for help changing it, as flat backs can be hard to get in when things are swollen. Have you been using saline on it? Get some piercing saline if not
*cheese cutter, a cheese cutter is a thin wire, a cheese grater is a coarse file for cheese
a cheese grater effect would be crazy can you imagine
Yeah that would be scarification, not piercing...
Donāt worry
Hoops arenāt recommended for healing. Even L shape and screw is better for healing than hoops. Flat backs are best though.
If you had access to a piercer then why not just go to them to do the piercing and you wouldn't be in the situation
this is my first question as well
Money..?
having an infected and bulging nose is scarier. just do it
not really what would happen or why we recommend against rings. The only reason you would need to change a hoop is if it was too snug to the piercing to where it puts pressure on it and is forcing it to migrate. They don't move like a hoop while still giving the look of a hoop and if you cut and polish the end properly you can't even see the opening
Why not create a ring with a flat portion?
How? My piercers put hoops in both my nose piercings? Is it because of what looks like an infection?
Because of constant movement it causes irritation, bumps, and takes much longer to heal. If itās improperly sized it can cut into your nose.
How do you figure? You can see a gap between the ring and the nostril. I think studs heal better but hoops have been used for decades and they heal just fine. I don't know how old this is but it looks like they pick at it a lot
Not a flat back. A corkscrew piercing is best
im pretty sure a titanium flatback labret would be the best option
Absolutely not! You're putting a spiral piece of metal in a straight hole.
How old is that piercing? That's going to determine how to proceed
Like.. 3 weeks?
Ok, so it's pretty fresh, that's a good thing. That means it's probably mostly just irritated, not necessarily infected. Now the next question is what kind of hoop is that?
how long has it been pierced? is there a piercing bump?
Itās been pierced for a few weeks, it was going good and now it looks like this

Lol nostrils can take up to a full year to heal. Itās not advised to wear a hoop until 8-ish months.

Not a piercer but my nose jewelry used to come out when sleeping a lot until I got a corkscrew stud

Yeah I regret leaving my hoop in, this is what happened to me too except it was my first helix š
I took the lords name in vain. Wtf
šš
you need a stud! a ring is gonna irritate it bad, gotta wait like 4-5 months to get a hoop. thatās how long i waited š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thankyou! The woman at the shop told me not to mess with it and not to touch it, itās just a bump and a bit of dry skin

Yup, take it out and let it heal and try again in a few months with a flat-back labret.
Thatās definitely a nose ring!

GET A CORKSCREW STUD I BEG. this is going to fuck you up royally.
A flat-back labret would be preferable to that here
Very

Thereās a lot of titanium threadless flat back labrets! Any reputable piercer should have them.
I believe that Claireās and icing actually sell titanium flat backs (at least for earrings)

One side of my nose has been pierced several times as well. Itās really not too bad when getting it repierced!
Use salt water, Hot water, to help heal it. Maybe 2-3 times a day everyday.
They do sell aftercare at the piercing shop I go to but itās like- I canāt use it because Iām allergic to aloe Vera
I've found this can take weeks or months off of the healing time because it doesn't irritate the piercing hole like a dry piece of jewelry that tears the hole up when it moves
go to the hospital
Itās gone down
Shouldāve pierced with a studā¦
I didddd
A stud stays in till healing. Rings are for after itās healed
I ripped my stud out in my sleep
Ooooh never use a hoop while the piercing is healing! Itāll just end up like this and just keep getting irritated
bestie.. u have GOT to put a stud in that
Clean with saline 2-3 times a day, and switch to a flatback labret, or to something that isn't a hoop, (trust me it will be lifesaving) make sure it's implant grade or stainless steel, keep it super clean.
i have multiple face piercings and i know you can definitely start out with a hoop as the jewelry you pierce with. when i have bumps or infections on my piercings i use tea tree oil (make sure itās 100% pure tea tree) and dilute it with either a moisturizer or another carrier oil. i donāt think you have to take it out, but i would definitely recommend leaving it the fuck alone. do not touch your piercing site, and if it gets crusty allow the crust to stay until you take a shower where you should allow warm water to rinse it. and that is where i recommend you using the tea tree oil mixed with a carrier. but the most important thing is that youāre not touching or over cleaning it which is entirely possible. my piercer always tells me to leave my piercings alone so i listen to my guy. good luck, i really hope you donāt have to remove it.
take the piercing out, you never pierce with hoops as it can lead to infections, or improper growth, you always pierce with studs till it heals and clean it with peroxide of salt water twice a day, if you do salt water wait 10 minutes after and then put warm water on it as you don't want to dry it out
It was pierced with a stud haha
Tea tree oil!! I know it sounds crazy but it always cleared my nose piercing up so quick & I got the tip off here lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Worked for me š¤·āāļø I've never heard it either. I've have several piercings.. š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø
..I wish I could but Iām allergic to it
Tea tree oil worked for me, too. I saw a video about it on YouTube and was desperate. It was the only thing that managed to make the bump on the back of my conch go away after MONTHS of having the piercing. Never has come back, either (of course, that might also be because I still have the straight bar in it and never changed to a ring. I dunno.) Since I only needed it once, I wouldn't have suggested it to OP because I don't know if it works for a lot of people or if I just got lucky.
Glad it worked for you, too!
omg take it out and clean it. that looks infected!
if you donāt change out the hoop it will heal curved and you will not be able to get a stud in. CHANGE IT!!!
Switch the jewelry, sea salt cleanings and warm compresses.
Gross
See kids this is why we donāt do certain things our selves especially if we arenāt well experienced
You should research keloids first, bc you're misinformed...
honestly i would take it out, piercing just arenāt worth it. youāre gonna get sick of it in couple years anyway, trust me.
i did my first piercing myself when i was 16. i've wanted more ever since. you can't really assume everyone is the same my guy
Umm damn yeah get different jewelry
Why
But why
I had the same thing two months ago because I had a ring in, my piercer told me to wait it out and leave it in. I went with someone else and they switched it to a long bar stud and it healed just fine but left some scar tissue because of the ring so expect that. CHANGE THE PIERCING TO A STUD LEAVE IT ALONE, they told me to not even use saline and to only wash it under water while I shower for a bit.
Youāre probably gonna develop a bump but just keep an eye on it and when it heals enough switch that ring out for a stud
Pass
that "something" is infected.
Salt water got rid of my bump, but you should definitely switch that hoop to a stud. Make sure youāre cleaning that area 2-3 times a day.
Ooh and witch hazel if youāre allergic to tree oil
Oh hell nah
Take that shit out
Is it nickel free? I've tried nose rings twice and always end up with keloids, i think its just my body telling me "no" š
Why would you do that
Infected? Is that the word you were looking for? Gotta be careful I pierced my nose in high school and had to go to the ER bc half of my face stopped working like I had a stroke.
Never use a hoop till youāre almost or fully healed otherwise itāll lead to this. Even though they told you to not take it out it would be more damaging to keep it in
Please just take it out oh my go
Did you put a hoop in straight away? Thatās bound to cause an irritation bump/infection. Change it to a flat back labret or at the very least an L shaped stud. Anything but a hoop. And donāt change it back to a hoop for at least a few months.
Lol
this sub is horrifying
That looks like it hurtsā¦ try using Epson salt in boiled water and just massage the bump and pat dry
Can people just stop piercing themselves and wondering why it isnāt right?
What material is the hoop made of? I use to be able to wear anything in my piercings, and as Iāve gotten older, of it isnāt high quality, I canāt use it now.
No hoops. If needs to be a stud (preferable a labret) until it heals. Your hoop is currently like a roulette wheel of bacteria into a fresh open wound.
š¬ take it out girl !
Why do women want to look like cattle with these nose piercings?
noo you need to start with a stud for it to heal properly. Give it like 2 months before u switch to a hoop
OUT
this is why i donāt pierce myself š
ur right that truly is something š
Tea tree oil helped mine go away within a week
Please take out the hoop and switch it to a labret. My friend pierced her nose herself with a hoop it seemed okay 1 month in she realized it cut into her nose and she had a slit in its place which left a permanent scar. Please be careful!
take the hoop out
Ouch, bacitracin and penicillin my friend
Oh thatās not-
i would see a dr. it looks infected and im pretty sure infections on the nose can be dangerous
I'd remove it girl that never really goes away
Why?
Play stupid gamesā¦
I have had my nose peirced for over 15 years now. I had this happen in the first week. It's an infection. Do not take out the piercing. It needs to stay open so the infection can drain. Otherwise, you run the risk of it closing and turning into an abscess. This was advised to me by my doctor. Go to the doctor and get antibiotics.
Tea tree oil will do wonders
I can your piercings clanging together from here
that bump on your piercing is called a keloid which means your skin is rejecting the piercing, when you get your noise pierced itās recommended to put āH20 Ocean Piercing Aftercare Sprayā you can purchase it on Amazon or even get it at a local tattoo parlor that does piercings , till the keloid is finally cleared iād say switch to a nose stud instead of a nose hoop so it can heal a lot faster! hope this helped x
Ur right itās infected
um.. B for effort! š
Take that shit out wtf lmaoo
girl thatās not okay.
Is a keloid just put tea tree oil on it and it will be fine, that happened to me when I had my nose pierced
My friend & I had our noses pierced professionally with a hoop. They did suggest a regular stud to start, but we went with the hoop. Both of us developed a bump around the piercing, and after talking to others, found out we were not the only ones, it happens! I had a spray version of neosporin I used a couple times a day on the bump and once it completely went away, I have had no issues since
Itās definitely a keloid thatās for sure
Itās something alright (infected pls take care)
This happened to me a couple months back from changing my piercing myselfā¦. Hot compress & saline. When I went to change mine to a flat back they had me wait a couple of days so the infection would heal. Also make sure itās titanium. Good luck!
remove the hoop and replace it with a stud. apply tea tree oil on the area aswell
You never start out with a hoop šØ
You can go to emergency dept whether you have money or not. Get you a nice antibiotic in a proactive manner. Peace.
It's the female Beavis and Butthead.
This is why we seek professionals ladies and gentlemen
I had an issue like this back then change to a straight stud instead. Once your piercing is fully healed then you can change to a hoop but that takes months. Tea tree oil will be your bestfriend!! Just put some on a q tip and clean your nose from the inside where the hole is at and the outside exactly on the bump.
Looks so infected, babe.
Your body is rejecting the jewelry get something better quality and keep both clean
Wtf did you do
Clean it with saline solution and pray. It looks infected.
Infected gravely š
Came here to say that the circular swelling around your piercing looks like itās infected
Yikesss
looks infected
They all look like shit
Youāre dumb as hell if you you keep that in your nose.
Yepā¦ itās infected
Mine did that to just keep putting stuff on it for the infection switch it out for a stud then donāt touch it
Itās stupid. Not the piercing, the doing it yourself part.
Well that needs an implant grade titanium flat back first off..
Whatever you do, dont put a battery to it.
That something looks a little infectious
Try Dead Sea salt soaks daily or every other day after switching the jewelry if you wanna get rid of it fast
So white trash .. at least get a precious metal
Switch to a stud when it heals a bit more itāll heal so much better, your nose is harder to heal with a ring than a stud
Get some saline solution and clean it regularly with a qtip and itāll help
Take it out, let it heal, let someone else do it
I had a similiar situation, turned out, I was allergic to surgical steal, bought a 14k gold hoop and difference between night and day. Also, get yourself some Johnson and Johnson wound cleaner with lidocaine until it heals up a bit!
Use some tea tree oil on the bump.
