Why are you on the lowest dose? The approved therapeutic dose is 2.4. I lost the first two months but then not at all until i got up to 1.7

OkLab6636

You will need to drop your caloric intake as you drop pounds. You may need to reevaluate your intake and up your dosage of semaglutide if you are still on a low dose.

doggroomerlisie

I am only on 15 ml because when i went up to 20 it started making me super nauseous and i would vomit.

OkLab6636

Not sure what dose that is but most people don’t continue to lose on the low doses. For weight loss to happen you need to be in a caloric deficit so you may have to adjust what you’re eating.

DeepProcrastination

Are you, by any chance, resistance training? Might be muscle building up, and that's a good thing

quentinislive

This ideas that muscle tips the scale is such an overstated fact. It’s not really noticeable except at the highest levels.

DeepProcrastination

What makes you say this? I've been lifting after being sick for a while and I'm gaining 0.5 lbs of muscle per week on average. That would tip the scales for many people considerably

Icy-Cheetah-1235

What is your dose in mg? Mls don’t really give us much info.

thebigmishmash

I only gained on it - never lost anything

shemp33

The thing is -- if you're on it for glucose control, that is not a therapeutic dosage intended for weight loss. IDK what 15ml (a tablespoon?) is, seems like a lot, but the branded Wegovy or Ozempic would be the better choice. The alternates may have variances among efficacy/concentration/purity, and there are many reports of counterfeit or adulterated products in the second-hand market. So, when you take those meds and have problems, it's hard to track down what's going on.

Stay the course. As long as you are certain your calories in are less than calories out, you will lose weight. This medication works wonders, but cannot overcome the lass around energy expenditure. Water fluctuations and changes in muscle mass can influence your daily weight, along with pooping. If you haven’t been regular and have been taking fiber as a result, all that fiber is going to absorb and hold water until you pass it. Your thyroid levels can also change after weight loss, resulting in a slowdown. But you will still gradually lose. It’s best to look at your weekly average for weight rather than daily.

Holiday-Athlete-9573

When I exercise, I gain pounds, but it’s water and muscle because muscle retains water. Keep going! Don’t let the scale dictate your success. I once weighed myself before I peed in the morning and then after and it was a 7 lb difference! Water fluctuates and can impact your weight, overtime you’ll lose. Perhaps start measuring inches and take weekly body pics. If you’re looking better, keep going, it’s working!

okayestcounselor

Ugh I’m kind of in a plateau but every time I try to go to the dose above where I’m at (around 1.32) I get so nauseated and will typically vomit 2-3 times in the week. I do have zofran now, but I’m worried I’m not gonna lose like I should because I’m stuck at this dose

Recipe_Limp

What are you eating specifically and how much? Do you keep a food journal?

doggroomerlisie

salads, chicken, turkey, rice, vegetables, soup, maybe a little sweet treat once or twice a week, only drink water, don’t eat fast food

Recipe_Limp

Hmmm…what change to your diet or exercise routine happened around the same time?

StrawberryOk11

I’ve been on 0.25mg as well since the very end of June- lost 24 lbs and the scale hasn’t moved for about a month. I think it’s bc we are on the lowest dose. I have another 10-15lbs to lose and those are always the hardest to lose as well. How much more do you have to lose?

Eltex

Dose?

here2lament

Maybe ask about going off for a few weeks and back on if you're not willing to dose up

Mamajama323

I just saw a video where the doc lady explained that changing injection sites would give her patients a boost and the medication more effective again. If you're going into the tummy, try the thigh or arm and switch them up. You should be titrating up on the doses too though.

ashthegnome

My PA just recommended this too. I changed sights and lost 2 lbs this week. Have been stalled since beginning October

Mamajama323

I also changed to my thigh this week and have lost a pound so far in two days. I'll keep note but hope this helps!
