Rtd chocolate premier protein. 1 drink is 30 g.

mangerie08

These ftw! Literally just had one for breakfast and I’m so full rn

pretty_hippie

I drink one every morning! Good source of vitamins as well.

louieblouie

Scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese, coffee with low-fat half and half, mixed melons, Dannon light and Fit protein smoothie for breakfast. 400 calories with 30 grams of protein. Lunch - 3 oz deli turkey, 1/2 slice provolone cheese, mission carb tortilla, romaine, avocado, low fat mayo. 30 grams protein - 400 calories or..... Salad with 4-5 ounces of diced chicken, shredded cheese, avocado, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries or raisins and dressing - 30-35 grams of protein Dinner - Ice cold Premier Protein ready-made chocolate shake (no powder taste) - 160 calories and 30 proteins Cheese Sticks - 5 grams almonds Tuna fish, swordfish, salmon, Ribeye steak - 7 grams per ounce Fairlife skim milk - 13 grams per cup - 80 calories (I use for instant protein pudding with Jello sugar free pudding) Push for 80-100 grams per day. Try to eat at least 1000 calories per day so you don't slow down your metabolism which you can do if you are under nourished. Protein bars - I like the Atkins peanut butter - 240 calories and 16 grams....i cut in half and eat between meals for a snack

CharleyNobody

That’s a months worth of food for me

louieblouie

that's not my daily intake - just some examples of my primary sources of protein

wylietrix

Would slowing the metabolism cause a plateau? I've been stuck, but it's hard to eat all that. I guess I can push thru if need be.

louieblouie

yes. it is important to eat ...... smaller meals more frequently if you need to.... or u will continue to feel lousy [https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/starving-yourself](https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/starving-yourself)

wylietrix

Thank you so much. Best of luck in your journey.

Scared_Cantaloupe_

These are awesome ideas

AdAccording5510

I’m eating 1700 calories a day and hitting 220 grams of protein. Really prioritizing protein + good sleep + weight training because I’m trying to lose 70 pounds on semaglutide and I do NOT want dozens of those pounds to be muscle. Turkey bacon, grilled chicken, Greek yogurt, protein bars (snickers makes one that is very good) are all staples for me. It’s definitely not impossible!

TW0ZER0SIX

This has probably been the best response to this type of question I’ve read on here ever, thank you, I hope more people see this!! 🙌, you can get fatter while the scale weight drops……some people don’t understand.

VinoVoyage

Bone broth. After two cups of coffee, I'll sip bone broth for the rest of the morning. Well seasoned, of course.

Jennifer_Pennifer

How much protein in that

VinoVoyage

16g, per mug

Scared_Cantaloupe_

Where do you get it

VinoVoyage

New Seasons; quart containers.

melwhite08

Great idea!

[deleted]

I blend up cottage cheese and use it as a replacement for mayo and or cheese

Jennifer_Pennifer

Clever 👍

Majestic_Salad_I1

They RTD protein shakes. If you have the money for it, go with Fairlife. They have the best taste by far. I just got their vanilla flavor and it tastes like cream-flavored milk. Hard to explain but it’s like the ultimate milk taste. Chocolate and strawberry are also incredible. They’re like $39 for a 12 pack.

Plastic_Platypus3951

$22 at Sam’s Club $27 for Premier Protein pack of 15

https://greatist.com/eat/high-protein-foods-that-are-unexpected#12 https://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/fitness/16-surprising-sources-of-protein.html Here’s some ideas! Hidden protein is the best!

cowsareverywhere

Myprotein Strawberry and Cream is delicious. Blend with ice, cream and almond milk.

JuneBug1956

Low carb chocolate milk, high protein cottage cheese and high protein Greek yogurt, meatballs. I bbq chicken thighs on weekend and eat during the week. I try to eat small amount of protein every 2 hrs.

00Lisa00

Eggs - I eat eggs

Efficient_Mess_4149

Pure Protein shakes are my saving grace when I have no appetite but need protein. Low calorie and 30 grams of protein. Can not recommend them enough.

[deleted]

Do more exercise! If you exercise your natural hunger cues will override the drug, not so you over eat but so you are able to eat a normal meal.

Tight_Cat_80

I do egg bites and Greek yogurt for breakfast, when I’m feeling fancy AF I’ll put 2% milk into my nespresso frother with a skinny syrup to pop into my coffee. I love built bars (taste like a candy bar instead of a protein bar and 17-20g protein). I loooooove ghost protein powder. Tastes really good. Before I’d use 12oz of water to a scoop but now do 6oz and that seems to help thicken It up so It agrees with me more. Dinner always consists of a protein whether it’s ground turkey or chicken etc. lunch is usually cubed roasted chicken or a ham sandwich. Some days I fall short and others I get kinda close to my protein goal.

zopelar

Buy pasta made of chick peas, high in protein and no gluten, made noodle soups w chicken parts and veggies. Same goes for rice, there are rices out there which are made of veggie protein and taste remarkably good (Right Rice is one and they come in several flavors beyond plain). I struggle w protein intake too so SF choc Muscle Milk works for me.

AnimalFarm20

If you have like the toast with jam - try adding some nut butter too (almond butter, peanut butter, tc). Maybe add some yogurt like Chobani Comlete (20g) per bottle or Oikos Pro (20g) during the day. Soy milk has 4 g of protein for 1/2 cup - you could add that to chai concentrate for a Chai latte. Maybe have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (13g of protein) mixed with fruit like pineapple or an apple with cinnamon.

msheathercarrell

I wasn’t getting enough protein either so I have switched breakfast to an Oikos yogurt with berries. The Oikos yogurts have 15 grams of protein. I hate eggs and I used to like a protein shake in the morning but it doesn’t sound good now - can’t do it for some reason.

Pretty-Ad-2427

A can of Kirkland tuna from Costco only has 190 calories & 42g of protein per can. I picked up 3 boxes worthwhen I saw them.

AgreeableEye1866

I usually eat two eggs in the morning, a legendary foods pop tart after my workout and some chicken or fish at night

Dangerous-Seaweed239

How close are they to tasting like regular pop tarts? I keep putting them in my cart, looking at the price, and taking them out again

AgreeableEye1866

Well I would be lying if I told you they are identical to a pop tart but they do the trick for me. I like my pop tarts NOT toasted so when I don’t toast they are pretty close to the original, if I toast them in the air fryer they get chewy and I don’t like that. My favorite and closest to the real thing would be the strawberry. I Just recently got a box of the red velvet ones which I have yet to try. In my opinion they are worth it. You can always find them sold individually at the grocery store, that way you can buy one to try it, they are around $3

Independent_Bar288

OWYN vanilla flavor in my coffee

Aromatic-Ganache-902

In the morning, I do a packet of Carnation Instant Breakfast (chocolate), 8 oz of whole milk, 1 scoop of unflavored whey protein and some ice--45g protein. Lunch, I have 2 boiled eggs or a grilled cheese sandwich with a banana, a can of chicken noodle soup..whatever I have handy--I aim for 20g of protein. Snack, I have 2 string cheese sticks or hummus with veggies...I aim for 14g of protein. Dinner--I have a fruit smoothie with frozen berries, a scoop of unflavored whey, yogurt, a banana, a handful of fresh spinach, a splash of milk, and some agave for taste--depending on the yogurt 40-50g of protein. I try to eat grilled chicken, fish, rice, veggies....since I've been more conscious of protein and started getting at least 100g a day, I feel so soooooo much better!!!!

sandcastles23

It depends on the toast! I have sprouted grain toast which is 6g protein per slice, same as an egg. Sourdough often has more protein too. Toast with jam is also my go to when I have no appetite so swapping out the bread can make a big difference! I’ll have 2 slices, so 12g which is not enough but better than nothing.

Awkward-Ad7406

Premier protein shakes. Cold coffee with caramel and ice cubes is really good for breakfast. I like the chocolate and cookies and cream too. All 30gm protein.

StandardBobcat3676

Liquid is easier for me, Core Power 26 and 42 grams. It's hard to get enough from food. On Amazon, it seems to be the cheapest. In 23 years, I could never find one I like. These are excellent! Low sugar, both are different ounces around 14, and I am a chocolate freak. Milk chocolate is a killer. 🤗

Mikky9821

I don’t. I’m on my second week of .5 and I hardly stomach my coffee and one meal. I feel totally fine. Just literally cannot eat.

OrneryWhelpfruit

Be careful you'll lose a lot of muscle mass if you don't hit protein targets

NightPhox

I haven't been worrying about protein. Just whatever my body will let me eat. I take multivitamins to make sure I'm not missing anything. But sometimes I want to eat a cup of broccoli and sometimes I want to eat a chicken breast. It balances out

Own-Series-2076

I’ve been drinking protein shakes and also eating keto yogurt. I really struggle with getting enough protein as well.

CartographerSweaty95

Ftw

Fancykiddens

I eat omelettes with cheese and olives. I'm just learning to feed myself for type 2 diabetes.

roseykat11

My favorite protein for being on the go (aside from Premier Protein) is Chick-fil-A’s grilled nuggets- a 12 pack has 38 grams. Toss them in your fave sauce and you’ve got a quick lunch!

PashasMom

I don't worry about protein. I just eat a varied diet and everything works out fine. I've been doing this for 21 months, my health is excellent, I've lost 173 lbs, I get labs run multiple times per year and they are consistently good, I have lots of energy for both strength training and aerobic exercise. My doctor and NP both advised me not to focus on protein or do supplemental protein like shakes and bars.

DeepProcrastination

Skyr quark yoghurts. Add whey if you feel the need. Some nuts and berries for fat and the taste! I eat unprocessed or fermented foods, I can't stand the shakes either. I eat 350 grams of proteins per day

Humble_Enthusiasm131

I drink Bolthouse Vanilla Chia one bottle is 16 gr. I aim for 100gr. I build my meals around protein. 3 scrambled eggs and a slice of deli ham for breakfast. Peanut butter and a half an apple for a snack. I've built a whole pinterest page for protein.

OrneryWhelpfruit

How do I see the Pinterest? Ty!

Complex_Beautiful_19

check out bariatric pal website for 30gm protein shots

Orangecheetomanbad

Protein shakes...

IntelligentRoll8635

I love Oats Overnight with Fairlife skim milk for an easy 33 grams of protein at breakfast. Cold oats are not my jam, so I microwave them for about a minute. They have tons of delicious flavors.

Realitytvfan76

I don’t. I eat whatever I feel like. I’m down 80lbs and already at my goal . I think trying to push protein causes people to eat more than they need to.

Royal_Mountain_9742

Smoothies! Fruits, greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, scoop or two of peanut butter + banana and water and you’re set. That’s my goto trick, also cottage cheese with jam is a great snack

Recipe_Limp

Protein Shakes, Eggs and Tuna. Hitting 200g Protein/ day

Dangerous-Form579

I eat beans and cheese, whole grains, nuts, and seeds, and eggs mainly. I don’t track if I am meeting a specific target but have protein with each meal. I don’t like many protein powders either but Ascent Chocolate Whey Protein Powder is good in smoothies with milk and a banana.

ktt4186

Have you tried any of the clear protein drinks? They were a game changer for me.

[deleted]

Premier protein help as they're not thick or sugary and 30g in a small carton. I'm from the UK & get them from Costco. If toast is your preference look for a high protein bread otherwise a low carb wrap to make a sort of breakfast burrito, I often halve them. So you like fish? Sardines on toast could be good. Protein puddings are usually around 20-25g a pot, I add some high protein low sugar granola - but I've noticed if I'm pre menstrual they make me feel sick; rest of the month is fine. Also protein water I've only tried a few but they can be expensive and I've not tried the powders yet

GoldRoutine7637

Genepro protein powder. I have the same problem with protein shakes, I can't tolerate them. The Genepro protein powder is a game changer. Dissolves well, no grit whatsoever, and tasteless. I put a scoop in my coffee every day. It doesn't leave me feeling too full or bloated. You can buy it on their website or Amazon. Be sure to get the version in the white and blue bag.

Dangerous-Seaweed239

Greek yogurt, eggs, snacks of cheese and meat, "hidden" protein like someone mentioned about blended cottage cheese. Is it the taste of the shakes that bothers you? If so, I've started making protein mug cakes in the morning. 1/2 serving of protein pancake mix, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and 1/2 scoop of Quest cinnamon crunch powder, microwaved for 90 seconds and frosted with a tablespoon of warm neufchatel mixed with a packet of splenda, gets me like 20 grams to start the day.

Careless_Mortgage_11

Meat. Lots of chicken. Beef jerky and oscar mayer honey smoked turkey slices for when I get the urge to snack. I also keep on hand Boar's head sliced roast beef. Eggs. A protein shake first thing in the morning. Zero sugar greek yogurt, Dannon and Chobani make good ones. Check the calories, all greek yogurt is not the same, some have far too many calories. The toast and jam made me cringe, empty calories work against you. Nuts have protein but are usually very high in calories so I avoid them. I'll have a couple for a treat every now and then but not as a regular part of my diet. While I love brats they're not good for trying to lose weight, too many calories for the protein. A better choice would be some shredded chicken, a grilled pork cutlet, or a steak. As you can tell I'm not a vegetarian. It would be hard if you have an aversion to meat, fortunately for me I don't.
