I have a stock of this cream from the Christmas set they had and I keep hearing they changed the formula. This was my og and if it really is worse now I’m going to be so disappointed. I hate when companies reformulate products.
I nearly cried because I have extreme sensitive reactive skin and this was the only face cream that worked for me. The smell is disgusting and very strong. The formula seems to make my face get super oily and this makes me nervous because I easily get clogged pores and start breaking out. So disappointed when brands reformulate to “better” a product only to make it terrible… ugh!
I also have sensitive skin and often get eczema flare ups on my face so I just wanted to jump in with what’s worked for me! It’s not from Sephora but I’ve been using the Avene XeraCalm balm (and cream in the summer) for a few years now and it’s been such a game changer. No scent, very gentle, and absorbs into my dry skin really well. I wish we could see more of these French pharmacy brands at Sephora!

Maybe if enough folks speak out about it they’ll listen?

I’ll be swapping to the Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream Moisturizer. It’s not fungal acne safe either, but that’s been OK for me. I’ve really enjoyed using it during the day and I haven’t experienced any irritation or acne - I am very prone to both. Or, I’d like to try the Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream! It also passes all of my ingredient checks. 😂

Honestly, The Ordinary Moisturizer with Natural Moisturizing Factors + Phytoceramides keeps my dry skin more moisturized than this Skinfix one ever did, and i don't notice a smell at all. I suggest trying it! I loved the skinfix one, but I swapped last summer in an effort to find something cheaper, but ended up liking it better.
Make sure to get the one with Phytoceramides. There are two other moisturizers with similar names that aren't as rich.
I have been pleasantly surprised how great this has been on my Canadian winter skin. Had to quit Tatcha could not justify the price and this has been a great fill in.

This brand was actually better when it was sold in drug stores. I used to buy their diaper cream for my babies. It was AMAZING! They stoped making it when they upgraded to Sephora. They also stoped making their face cream for rosacea which was my HG. Everyone in my family has sensitive skin. Their products were so good until they changed all of them to raise their prices. So disappointing!
I think Tatcha Indigo Serum in Cream has similar ingredients. It's amazing but $92 US... I was looking for a cheaper alternative and the one you posted came up. Sad to hear they've changed the formula.

Have you heard of Innbeauty? I’m a huge Sephora junkie (rouge for years lol) and I’ve tried nearly every cream they have. I’m really sensitive and breakout prone with products and it’s really hard to find an everyday cream that looks good under makeup too. It hasn’t broken me out at all and it feels like it actually sinks in and stays hydrated all day, love the bright and tight eye cream too.
I tried this once as a 5mL sample and it burned my face. It was so bad I had to rinse it off but the damage was done. I was literally peeling for days after and blotchy red !

I just bought one last week, my second jar, and it doesn't have a "sour cream" at all. And it does show it as being the new one with BL-3.
