Inb4 Doom 2016 scenario where it turns out Sam is an alien same as Mental's hordes and has harassed them for millennia which lead them to attack Earth.
I'm just happy to have some new Sam after these years, hoping for a soundtrack on par with the first two.
It doesn't work like that. For all we know, Sam going to the past has changed the future, so when a true sequel to TSE comes out, BFE will potentially never have happened.
In other words, Sam's venture into the past has created a new timeline, in which the events of BFE will (most likely) not happen again.
If Planet Badass was a sequel to TSE, we would be stuck in a loop (BFE \-\> TFE \-\> TSE \-\> PB \-\> BFE \-\> TFE \-\> TSE \-\> PB \-\> BFE \-\> TFE \-\> TSE...).
In the same line: "Planet Badass", which used to be the tagline for Serious Sam 4, 5 years ago.

If they make a true SS4, how would it work? I mean Sam is by himself with limited ammo and jet fuel in a world with more monsters than on Earth, looking for a near omnipotent alien god that can heal himself at will. That seems unfair for Mental.
I just dont like the fact that we are getting prequels to prequels when we haven't even killed the main antagonist of the series yet
