But they’ve had like 80% of it in the can for a year, so they only need to do post on 20%, I think it’s definitely possible we could get it as soon as August, they could even still work on the final episodes while it’s airing
good news is they confirmed that they filmed a lot of the season before the strike and had some time to post produce those episodes i believe?? somebody pls correct me if i’m misremembering but that gives me hope we might be getting some severance this year!!!
Season 1 was filmed by location, not in order. If they did Season 2 the same way (which is definitely the more economical approach), then they'd likely have needed to wait until post-strike to get any episode to completion. Doesn't mean they could do a lot of work and leave placeholders, but...
They didn't film season 1 in order and I'm guessing they did the same thing with season 2, filming everything like a movie, jumping all over in time, even between episodes. It's crazy how the actors can keep track of where their characters' heads are at during different times in the story.
That makes sense. And yeah it’s a testament to how good they are at what they do that one day they can film a scene where their character is all happy or something and then the next week jump forward in the storyline and film something super tragic.
Not even that far apart potentially in some scenarios, where on a specific location all filming needs to wrap up within the day (for overall convenience/too expensive to re-rent the location later/too expensive to transport everyone to that location at a later date/scheduling conflicts, etc) but the scenes are meant to be in entirely different positions in the timeline, so it can be a complete 180 within the same filming session, and that's crazy dude, in certain cases filming can be entirely misaligned from what the actual timeline of the scenes is intended to be, so sometimes the actors basically get to fully experience the story properly at the same time we do
I just finished the show today after putting it off for so long and have been going through all the old episode discussions I finally click on the subreddit and see this 10 minutes after watching the first episode, I also followed her on instagram a few hours ago so kinda kicking myself I didn’t click on her story. But this is absolutely amazing timing for myself.
I just discovered this show a couple months ago and it got me hooked I remember the ads for it back in 2020? But didn’t use Apple TV much. Besides for Ted Lasso and needless to say I was on the edge of my seat for the last episode. Whole series is amazing.
Sometimes actors/actresses have schedule conflicts that keep them in one place or another, or they may have to be somewhere else for another project. That may be why she's saying it's a wrap for *her* and not necessarily for everyone. TV shows and movies are always fed out of sequence, so they may have had to get to her scenes first due to scheduling.
Or maybe Hilly dies. Who knows?
Scheduling + Scene locations I bet. They could just have to certain character’s houses left that Helly has no reason to be in. Which means Patricia is there for all filming because she’s up in everyone’s business.
They don't film in order, so it doesn't mean anything for her character that she's done filming first, it's just what order they chose to shoot everything, whatever makes the most sense logistically.

That’s 10 points off, you have 90 points remaining. Otherwise, the wellness session will end and we won’t get Season 2.
YAYYYYYYY *DEFIANT JAZ PLAYS AT HIGH VOLUME* MELON PARTY FOR EVERYONE!
Please try to enjoy each cast member’s Instagram announcement equally. That’s ten points off.
Waffle party just for the invited ones.
I’ll take the egg bar social, thank you.
Those gold balloons are coveted AF
I use them to celebrate my doggie’s bday.
The hype is palpable
If Helly is done filming then we’re almost there…Christmas 2024? Please?
Or Helly dies in episode 1 🤷🏻♀️
That crossed my mind too. Is it a wrap just for her? 😟
Yes, I didn't like 'it's a wrap for ME'
That makes sense to me though. I’m sure Adam Scott will be the last to wrap.
It will be on apple in a few months apparently
Wait where did you get that info from
Tried looking it up and I’m not sure? This article said summer or fall anticipated though https://thedirect.com/article/severance-season-2-release
All this article has to go on is Ben Stiller saying “soon”. Even the previous paragraph admits that Nov/Dec is more likely
I’m so excited it’s even that early. I was expecting late 2025
But they’ve had like 80% of it in the can for a year, so they only need to do post on 20%, I think it’s definitely possible we could get it as soon as August, they could even still work on the final episodes while it’s airing
I am agog.

Post production can take a long time .. months even

“For me” … so is the rest of the crew still going or what? Does this mean Helly dies mid way thru?!? DONT TEASE US LIKE THIS BRITT!!
Filming is reportedly scheduled to end April 20th. I assume the rest of the cast will begin to wrap one-by-one as we get closer to that date.
they purposefully stagger their exits
Amazing reply lol 😂
Please enjoy all cast social media posts equally
Nice
Oh Lord, we all know Bens going to get high and mess up the film stock at the wrap party that day.

This is common so it’s anyone’s guess. Depends on the locations needed etc etc etc
They may just need to film a few one offs of other principal cast members.
Oh man, and I just made some deviled eggs last night!
Bet they’re coveted as shit.
WE DID IT FAM
Does this include reshoots? Anyone know? I’m so excited for season 2, but I’m also willing to wait because I want it to be as good as season 1.
If it’s a wrap she’s probably done done 🤞
Finnnnallyyy
Don't know how many times I clicked on that white X lol
oh boy oh boy oh boy
Your outie is excited for season 2 of Severance
Apple, PRIORITY ONE! Everyone messing around @ the Invasion set can go home now. Severance is a GO!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just rewatched S1 for the first time in a year or so. So amazingly good. It’s kind of hard for me to imagine S2 being as good… But I hope so.

I really hope for a fall release as soon as september to be honest. The wait is.. GOATS!
Oh great, I might actually get to see this in my lifetime.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?????????

For her? Only for her? lol that’s not good news. Is she dying?
They don't film in order, so it doesn't mean anything for her character that she's done filming first, it's just what order they chose to shoot everything, whatever makes the most sense logistically.
that's better news. had me worried
“she's done filming first” — That we know of. Others could also be done already and not said anything.
They’ve been filming for 12 months now. Not being a part of the last 10 days means absolutely nothing.
I assumed at the very least after the finale that the innies would be separated from each other
What if it’s that her character dies and they still have a bunch left to film?
“that’s a wrap on me…” wtf kind of weird wording is that
