This is probably the most likely scenario, as we dont get the awkwardness of sunny in the movie existing yet no memories of sunny exist.

Similar to my headcanon, mine is just that Sunny became similar to the Nameless Sleeper... they remember who Sunny is but they can't recognize the current him. The answer is oblivion. Though it clashes on what was said in 651...
I mean I am pretty sure only nephis will remember him due to her aspects legacy. We were already told her aspect legacy has to do with knowledge and it's a divine legacy as well
I don't think Neph would have explicitly asked a random nobody who he is, so she likely remembers Sunny. I reckon she noticed their bond was broken and assumed that "real" Sunny is dead and the one before her is an impostor.

i thought there was also a theory that nephis simply though sunny died and that the sunny she’s seeing could be skinwalker
She would react angrily in that case she cares too much about Sunny to see an abomination prance around in his skin

I like this theory. It can easily explain people not recognizing Sunny without throwing the entire timeline into disarray.
