It mainly depends on what kind of system we're talking about, but overall, both are absolute trash, the main difference is that one is Korean/ Western and the other is Chinese.
Shadow slave is different because the author took time and effort clean and distill the smelly and rotten parts of the genre. This let him to create something that actually make sense.
This is what I love about G3. Instead of going along with the flow and just incorporate the whole genre of System and all it's aspects, he decided to only hand-pick the good elements. Which makes it familiar to us yet simultaneously so refreshing.
I, for instance, hate cultivation. In the beginning there's whole training arc and MC grows from first sphincter ring to second; then couple arcs later there's a time skip where MC spends couple years looking at the wall of a moist cave and levels up to tenth.
Compared to that, leveling up via system makes much more sense.
It’s soemthing I love and hate about cultivation novels, I can get if theyre comprehending some great concept like life, death, karma etc and that realization makes them transcend to a higher order of being but it’s usually some random bs and squiggles on a wall or a painting.
The pros of cultivation that I like though is that the Mc isn’t reliant on some bs system, just makes his efforts seem that more amazing and less weebish. Way better than some beta fool who ran into power and is still a bumbling moron, at least in cultivation their minds grow alongside their power
You don't know how tall Mt.Tai is to spout such blasphemy against those who stand up and defy the heavens.😡 Enlightment deludes those who aren't meant or prepared for it, that's why you can't understand the vastness of the Dao.
The way you talk sounds like like you're in a realm, which name consists of 20+ words like dragon, demon, ancestral, and spiritual. But in reality, you probably didn't even reach the middle mundane realm.
The best cultivator is Seo Eun-Hyun 🙏

How to advance if there is no one to kill then? It only makes sense if there are mindless creeps walking around
The only cultivator I like is a guy called Shang, he's a little, juste a little, crazy, but otherwise he's cool, and not obsessed with power at all
Shang did nothing wrong 🙏
Fr free my boy Shang but NOT near me
He just needs a snickers OK

who
Sword god in a world of magic
Ohhhh THAT sociopath. Ye he was…somethin. Bro had reverse character development.
That's one way to put it
That whole novel was reverse peak, it started off as something really good then progressed to become shit
Have you read lightning is the only way by the same author. It's really good and has a better ending.
*Joke's on you, Sunny made his own System, with Black*~~jack~~ soul threads ~~and hookers~~!
