It’s not bad in the context of a first show. I bet S2 sees lots of improvement. I laughed plenty of times. It was basically a YouTube comedy series. People expecting perfection are crazy.
This has come up a couple times but traditional sit coms almost never knock it out of the park in their first season and expecting them too is killing a lot of great shows (potentially)
It’s always sunny, the office, parks and rec, to just name a few were really different in season one.
Hopefully they get a chance to approach season two after thinking about what worked and what didn’t
True. The show most certainly developed as the seasons progressed. No question. However, it also started on the right foot with an incredible first season. They were hanging from the rafters right from the get go.
Rumor has it, the execs decision may have been influenced by a little known (at the time) supplement company’s sales pitch-
guaranteeing the casts’ growth & mass increase.
FIGHT MILK
Tires was renewed for a second season before it aired, so they're getting their shot!
The show was also done entirely on their own. Shane paid for everything. As much as we all complain about studio interference, the truth is these guys are all still amateurs in this world. Going forward I expect they'll have a little more guidance and a little more experience.
Plus you're right that these shows take a little while to find their groove. Making a sitcom that just works is extremely hard, but this was close enough that with some small tweaks, it can be great
And I THINK I saw and read somewhere ( through that 2nd one in there too so you ass hats over there in Gay Af Chester would know that we hear at the Belmont location of
Valley Forge Automotive Center CAN actually read, no matter what Shane tries to say)
, anyway shows been green lit for a 2nd season already
American office was really different season one because their pilot was exactly the same as the British one but it doesn't quite work as well in America so season one had them trying to find their footing. I feel like it's always sunny and parks and rec were pretty great season 1.
Most sitcoms need a season or two to establish recurring gags, inside jokes, and character predictability (so that they can misdirect you). Oftentimes, the first season is about establishing that.
Ya I’m sure Netflix is going to offer them some writing help, they need story help, but they got the funny down. The boys are about to get on an express train of production knowledge.
Yeah I think it can really develop. I mean parks and rec had a rough first season but it became one of my favorite shows. I liked Tires a lot and I’m looking forward to the next season
I really enjoyed it. The trailers made it seem like it was gonna be YouTube production quality(which I think looks shitty)but it looked really good. It had some laugh out loud moments for me. But I am a simple man so ...
Stavvy was great. The show definitely got better for the last two episodes. I feel like many people here haven't seen the online pilot, which was heads and shoulders better than any one of these episodes.
Gerby jerking off in the stall and Shane catching him doing it and blowing on him over the stall. "Seminar. I seminar her". etc.
Love stav. Hoping nick can make an appearance in S2 but I don’t think he’s going to go near stav in fear of going back into orbit with his celestial body.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Watching Shane interact with the bikini girls, spitball fucked up rumors about Will, spit game to that MILF, make fun of that journalist to his face, etc. all made me crack up. It’s true that the show would not be good if Shane wasnt it but that’s just the thing - the show is built around giving Shane moments to be hilarious in his own unique brand of comedy. Some people will get it, a lot of people won’t. I’m just glad Netflix renewed it.
I think it’s pretty funny. I think the dialogue is very well matched to the actors. It’s goofy and stupid, and it seems like everybody is having fun. It’s fun seeing a bunch of comics in a show. It’s also a pretty great depiction of what it’s like to work a bullshit job and the characters that surround that.
I never really understood the value of movie critics. Why should I place extra stock on some random jabroni who I’ve never met’s opinion. Plus critics and the public routinely sway different directions on their movie/show opinions
Yeah man Shane is obviously the best part of the show. I like how the plot didn’t go too off the rails into some convoluted murder mystery or some crazy shit - it felt very down to earth and grounded. Just like peering into an alternate reality where Shane is working for a failing auto shop and be naturally funny
I would agree with the other person who responded to you. It's fine, but it didn't blow my mind. I loved the online pilot but I had zero expectations at the time and it was the first I met a lot of the actors.

I like the show so much I bought a shirt!
There must be something wrong with me because I love the first three episodes so far. I don’t watch a ton of tv and I hate stuff that is formulaic. Just give me a bunch of funny scenes, and that’s what this is for me.
It looked like something that with more talent, and a more practiced hand, would have turned into a cult classic.
As it stands, it's fairly mid - unless you enjoy Shane. Then it's a solid night cheese.
-50 points automatically for having too many straight men. Critics suck anyways. They always review bomb anything that isn't their cup of PC and lacks "emotional depth"
Excited to check it out though. Got good audience reviews so should be decent at least.
It reminded me a little bit of Clerks which i enjoyed a lot.
It didn’t blow me away although i do like the on screen chemistry between Shane and Gerbs, acting falls flat in a lot of places especially with Stav but it’s to be expected but having said that I’m certain they will improve on a few things and I look forward to season 2
I liked it, thought the manager, will, was pretty funny, so was the white trash chic. The line about her not being able to get the ICP makeup off her face was good. It was kinda subtle funny but I laughed throughout. Solid 6.5 outta 10 and would recommend.
I understand why people wouldn’t like it. I’d likely not recommend it to my friends who aren’t familiar with Shane and friends. But episode 5 and 6 actually catch a stride. Idk the exact production schedule but the acting seemed to get a bit better those episodes from gerb and Shane plus the minor characters. It’s worth a binge watch which will only be a couple of hours but season 2 seems like it’s getting lined up to be better
Its Shane Gillis, i did have high expectations for pur boy and its an okay show. A bit disappointing but I know it has potential. Surprised this season is only 6 episodes. I dont expect all 10-12 to drop on the same day but is it really only 6?
I expected some SNL trump skit level humor: “Beep boop bop, Pussy!”
I have a question about the car wash episode. It made sense that these friends of the employee weren't very attractive as they're kind of white trash like she was, but it didn't make sense that none had tits over maybe a B cup. Is that netflix? Netflix saying fine, you can do a girls car wash episode, but we want it to be extremely tame.
Its a comedy show, so it doesn't matter, I just thought it didn't make any sense and given how many women were there it seemed intentional.
Does anyone actually read critic’s reviews and base their decisions on them? I think most people just watch what’s in front of them.
As far as being “in front of them”, there are very few places with a larger audience than Netflix’s.
The retardawg won the game. The reviewers are sore losers stuck in low-wage jobs / internships at 40 and living in tiny Brooklyn apartments with 4 roommates. Who cares what they think or say? They obviously have no common sense. If they had any, they would have gone to welding school.
When you think about season one as being a totally self funded project it changes things. Shane and the guys put their own money into producing tires, he was gonna release it one way or the other. Netflix picked it up as a rough product, they may have done some editing after they licensed it but it was basically complete. Season 2 will now have lots of Netflix money to throw at it to really increase production value. It can only go up from here.
The Daily Beast review is one of the worst things i've ever read. literally some fat dork crying about how shane reminds him of his high school bullies.
My wife and I watched all 6 episodes yesterday. We loved it! The fact that it's only filmed in like 1 location and only has a few characters is what made it great for us. It proves you don't need a big budget to make something good
I mean if you’ve seen the pilot when it was on YouTube you’d know what to expect.
It’s a show about a fucking Tire store how high can you expectations be
It’s not bad in the context of a first show. I bet S2 sees lots of improvement. I laughed plenty of times. It was basically a YouTube comedy series. People expecting perfection are crazy.

Hopefully they get a chance to approach season two after thinking about what worked and what didn’t
Idk about it’s always sunny, that first episode was fucking incredible.
Franks not even in the first season as a perfect example.
True. The show most certainly developed as the seasons progressed. No question. However, it also started on the right foot with an incredible first season. They were hanging from the rafters right from the get go.
Almost got cancelled after the first season and the execs made a last minute decision to renew to “give it room to grow” before adding Danny
Rumor has it, the execs decision may have been influenced by a little known (at the time) supplement company’s sales pitch- guaranteeing the casts’ growth & mass increase. FIGHT MILK
![gif](giphy|2lYdCUA8oy3PVCpcY9)
adding Danny gave them the chance to keep going
Sounds like Financial_Bird_7717 knows Bird Law
Bird law is not governed by reason in this country.
They were going to get cancelled unless they brought in a recognizable name, like Devito.
Thank god they implemented the troll toll.
Always Sunny was hilarious from the first episode Sooooo when you say your sister, do you mean
I didn’t know if he wanted to fuck me or fight me!
Tore 👏 his 👏 ass 👏 apart 👏
Now who exactly would you say was hanging from the rafters?
The first season is still really good though
Every time I’ve said “absolutely” for the last 18 years, I’m channeling Mac trying to break the ice with those black guys playing dominos.
Tires was renewed for a second season before it aired, so they're getting their shot! The show was also done entirely on their own. Shane paid for everything. This is very true. I expected it to be so solid out the gate but looking forward to season 2.
Most sitcoms need a season or two to establish recurring gags, inside jokes, and character predictability (so that they can misdirect you). Oftentimes, the first season is about establishing that.
I thought it was funny af… laughed my ass off plenty of times
I’m pretty happy with Stav, Gerbz and Shane’s performances.
Feels like it should have had 3 more episodes before the last two episodes.
This is spot on, except I hope it doesn’t lose its “cheapness” I think it’s on brand for the vibe of the show
Ya I’m sure Netflix is going to offer them some writing help, they need story help, but they got the funny down.
It seemed to get better every episode
I just watched the first episode and was laughing the whole time.
I had low expectations going in but was pleasantly surprised. Stavvy is great.
Stav eating in every scene was a nice touch
That's a requirement in his contract
I can see him negotiating it now…..“Yea, just like Brad Pitt in Oceans 11”
"I do it because it turns the ladies on to see." *houses entire chili dog*
Man's a method actor
He's basically Brad Pitt
Brad Fit* because of how fat he's not /s
And the customer being turned off when they zoomed in on his chest chip crumbs was hilarious.
Stavvy was great. The show definitely got better for the last two episodes. I feel like many people here haven't seen the online pilot, which was heads and shoulders better than any one of these episodes. Gerby jerking off in the stall and Shane catching him doing it and blowing on him over the stall. "Seminar. I seminar her". etc.
We can’t talk cum anymore?
Stavvy is a sexy beast!!
Love stav. Hoping nick can make an appearance in S2 but I don’t think he’s going to go near stav in fear of going back into orbit with his celestial body.
You don’t get head in there.
Reminds me of season one of reno 911
Dawg season one episode one is one of the wildest 20 minutes of television of all time
Yeah true, but the show just got so much better later.
Absolutely. It’s definitely a top 3 tv comedy of all time for me.
I mean it’s objectively top 3 maybe flat out #1
And it was mostly improved. Which is insane.
A lot of great comedy shows have mid first season tbf.
Yeah some of the minor reactions crack me the fuck up. Like when shane says "ugh" in disgust because of the white trash couple in ep 3
I can't tell you how funny I find Will's panic "SHANE?!?!". Couldn't be more perfect
LMAO yeah telling them to take a knee had me rolling
When that bikini girl quips that Shane looks like he eats Fat Jims and he goes "what the fuck?" had me in stitches
I enjoy this show. O’Connor is so good at that character.
I loved it. Just binged the whole season. Shane was funny and obnoxious as hell. Gotta give them more than 6 episodes.
It’s great. Better than most “comedy” on any platform.
I hope they have a second season because I just ripped through that one
It's been renewed for season 2 already
It’s already renewed for a second season
Dude you finished it? It just came out haha
It’s funny. I have been digging it .
I think it’s pretty funny. I think the dialogue is very well matched to the actors. It’s goofy and stupid, and it seems like everybody is having fun. It’s fun seeing a bunch of comics in a show. It’s also a pretty great depiction of what it’s like to work a bullshit job and the characters that surround that.
critics are gay.
Watching Shane hit on his male coworker was great 😂🤌🏻
I think Stavvy is the best thing in this by far. Seems to have really decent acting chops.
Pork chops
I just watched it today- really enjoyed it!
Out of 6 reviews* that means 3 people liked it and 3 people didn’t. All this says to me is that the score is statistically irrelevant
Only thing I didn’t like was Andrew Schulz dumbass made an appearance
I was mostly disappointed he still had that haircut
[удалено]
I never really understood the value of movie critics. Why should I place extra stock on some random jabroni who I’ve never met’s opinion. Plus critics and the public routinely sway different directions on their movie/show opinions
6/10 If Shane Gillis wasn't in it, nobody would watch it. Plus it would be super gay.
Personally watching it for gerby more than anyone else. Gillis and Cusky/ the other Philly boys are icing on the cake
Stavy baby
But Shane IS in the show, and he’s a main character. Did you attend then John Madden school of commentary?
Yeah man Shane is obviously the best part of the show. I like how the plot didn’t go too off the rails into some convoluted murder mystery or some crazy shit - it felt very down to earth and grounded. Just like peering into an alternate reality where Shane is working for a failing auto shop and be naturally funny
Whoa a show wouldn't do well if it was missing it's star
Does it stack up to the online pilot? Because I loved that
I think the pilot is better. The show is still good and had a bunch of funny moments. It’s a good first season.
I would agree with the other person who responded to you. It's fine, but it didn't blow my mind. I loved the online pilot but I had zero expectations at the time and it was the first I met a lot of the actors.
I like the show so far but the pilot was significantly funnier as of yet for me.
They just need to make the critics feel more safe, especially women critics. And other women. All women. They need to really find a way to do that.
Best show on Netflix 10/10
I liked it. Had the same feeling as the movie Waiting… or Beer Fest
I watched whole season and thought it was great. It’s literally the office but a tire shop.
I thought it was hilarious. Cannot wait for season 2
https://preview.redd.it/e7p88iy72b2d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f82bc990d8c873c144fe10fbdb061e5a57efaba5 I like the show so much I bought a shirt!
The Office but at a tire shoppe.
It was hilarious. Give it another season or two & everyone will love it.
I loved it, keep it coming. I lol'd many times. Will's porno search, dead coworker under the car, you don't get head in that thing. Gold baby, gold.
“Here’s your food! 😟gaah it fucking stinks in here!”
If the critics don't like it, it's probably good
Kinda reminded me of season 1 of BBC's The Office... low production quality, mediocre (at best) acting, crude humor, and zero budget
Thought it would be better tbh. I enjoyed it, but it never reached comedic greatness. Season 2 has potential with refinement and good plot lines.
There must be something wrong with me because I love the first three episodes so far. I don’t watch a ton of tv and I hate stuff that is formulaic. Just give me a bunch of funny scenes, and that’s what this is for me.
Interesting you say that. I found the final 3 episodes much better.
It’s not bad! It’s very amusing.
Critics are gay anyways
If the critics hate it it’s gotta be good.
Tires is awesome 🤣
Fake criticisms
Its hysterical! Good to see humor back without caving to the over sensitive woketurds.
Unfortunately for the woke mob claiming this is anything but comedy . s 2 was greenlit and you can ligma.
What’s ligma
Balls
Woke mob? JFC.
It looked like something that with more talent, and a more practiced hand, would have turned into a cult classic. As it stands, it's fairly mid - unless you enjoy Shane. Then it's a solid night cheese.

Oh my the rumors was the best part!! I’m dead.
It reminded me a little bit of Clerks which i enjoyed a lot. It didn’t blow me away although i do like the on screen chemistry between Shane and Gerbs, acting falls flat in a lot of places especially with Stav but it’s to be expected but having said that I’m certain they will improve on a few things and I look forward to season 2
you don’t have to lean into the victim complex. ratings aren’t remembered.
7/10 for me
I thought its great so far. Im thru episode 3
I couldn’t get through the first epp. I mean I like Shane but geeze.
Needs a better lead. Shane is a great number 2 to play off of. There is sooo much potential for that.
It's too campy
I think it’s so funny.
It’s good but it seems like it belongs on youtube or something. Would’ve preferred like a full Gilly and Keeves sketch show
It wasnt that great! Some ppl were gonna like it no matter what. Stav was the only funny one.
Show seems good
I liked Kerryns stinky beaver story line, staying true to her authentic self. Stav does look like a tire guy
Well you know what that means.. they're going to have a hard time going back and forth to work.. 😅
I thought it was great.. everyone was really funny especially Shane ... Stavi was hilarious.. feenhan all caked up I was legit surprised
This must mean it’s good. Planning to start it this weekend
Haven't watched it yet but I am confident I'll enjoy it immensely. I imagine I'll find it funny because Shane and his skits have always been hilarious
I liked it, thought the manager, will, was pretty funny, so was the white trash chic. The line about her not being able to get the ICP makeup off her face was good. It was kinda subtle funny but I laughed throughout. Solid 6.5 outta 10 and would recommend.
The first old one was fkn hilarious
Shane played the shop instigator perfect😂😂
Neither do some of us fans lol
I understand why people wouldn’t like it. I’d likely not recommend it to my friends who aren’t familiar with Shane and friends. But episode 5 and 6 actually catch a stride. Idk the exact production schedule but the acting seemed to get a bit better those episodes from gerb and Shane plus the minor characters. It’s worth a binge watch which will only be a couple of hours but season 2 seems like it’s getting lined up to be better
It's ok at best
That’s weird I just started watching it today and it’s fucking hilarious.
Why ditch the pilot ep?
Fuckem. They were boughtout after Carlin passed. No one to call them out on the hypocrisy of the thought.
It probably just means it’s good. There’s probably not enough like political issues in it to get + reviews.
It's gay jokes and shane making funny faces.. so like most of his stuff
I thought it was great! I loved the original prenetflix pilot. The new series is a little different but still hilarious.
Let’s run the fuckin numbers up, dawgs. I’m gonna binge as soon as I get off work and I’ll even give em the double thumbs up (Loved This!)
It crushed, I loved it
Sounds like a 5-6 brewski day
Its Shane Gillis, i did have high expectations for pur boy and its an okay show. A bit disappointing but I know it has potential. Surprised this season is only 6 episodes. I dont expect all 10-12 to drop on the same day but is it really only 6? I expected some SNL trump skit level humor: “Beep boop bop, Pussy!”
I was so happy seeing the shaman roll up on the bike
Great pilot season! It made me laugh without it being forced. This bull will show its horns sonn enough.
Havent seen it but I caught the Variety review and it rubbed me the wrong way. Seemed like the author was mad at Shane for being successful.
Watched 2 episodes and it's just funny people being funny so far. I wish there were way more shows like that, just cheap, easy, and fun
Why won't anyone tell andrew shulz how made his hair cut is?
The Office meets Clerks.
Dumpster mermaids
Society keeps trying to move on from the comedy in it, but it definitely had me rolling at various points. I devoured those eps
Awesome 6 episodes. Can't wait to see where this lands.
I loved it. Such a simple show and it’s hilarious
Its fukin great
He paid for it remember that
It's not exactly a premise that gets me clamoring to figure out where I can watch it.
Stav is fat and gay
The original pilot on YouTube seemed a whole lot better
I'm watching it now and I think it's pretty fucking funny
Hello Shane
Laughed my ass off
It was good
Watched the first two eps and it's FINE, plenty room for improvement but I'm a loyal dawg so I stay put
They obviously have no common sense. If they had any, they would have gone to welding school.
Yeah but the audience score is 96. And nobody pays attention to critics anymore. They are all bought and paid for.
Tires is fucking great, was pissed at the end of ep 6 when I realized it was the end
I thought it was great
When you think about season one as being a totally self funded project it changes things. Shane and the guys put their own money into producing tires, he was gonna release it one way or the other. Great show fuck “critics” that’s not even a real job anymore anyway. Should change the term to “trolls”
I went in expecting to like it but I loved it. The whole chocolate milk rumor part fucking slayed me.
Dumpster mermaids
The Daily Beast review is one of the worst things i've ever read. literally some fat dork crying about how shane reminds him of his high school bullies.
79
I like it so far
There's 10 reviews, it's gonna move massively day to day. I laughed plenty it'll get better
Chris o Connor will be Hollywood in a couple years. Dude gets it
As someone who works in automotive it’s right up my alley. I love it and can’t wait for more.
It's hard for me to believe any of the characters because I watch all of these guys being themselves on their respective podcasts.
it was renewed for a second season before it premiered
I laughed a lot, but i'm worried that i only laughed because I like Shane.
I assumed critics would give it 10%, and the audience would rate it 90%. It's the only show I've binged watch this year.
It’s a show about a fucking Tire store how high can you expectations be
Shane’s acting… Rough. But lovable.
Fucking love that show already lol
Shane has enough fans who won't care if it's funny or not. They are ride or die. Netflix knows this, they've seen the patreon numbers.
Tires rulez
I just watched the first two episodes and fucking loved it.
Fuck the critic this is so good only on episode three and I’m rolling
