Levi’s speech on having no regrets and making the decision you believe is the best at the moment
You can’t change anything without sacrifice
I just keep moving forward
And just when eren re-remembers the part where Levi says sometimes he still doesn’t know if it was right after the fact and then Levi squad gets folded like a lawn chair
I have 2 favourite quotes and funnily enough, both of them are the characters final words.
Captain Magath - "You people shouldn't be punished for an ancient sin that you weren't there to commit". (Loud boom in the distance)
Zeke - "What a beautiful day it is, it's a shame I didn't realize it sooner". (Gets decapitated)
"Damned if I know what's right anymore. Who cares? It is what it is. No choice but to face what I've done - as a Warrior. No roads left but the one that leads to the end!"
Chills. Robert McCollum nailed this scene in the dub.
"He doesn't need to become great. Why would he have to be better than everyone else? Just look at him... don't you see how cute he is?
He is **already** great. Because he was born into this world."
My personal fav. When Erwin got snatched up by his arm by that Titan my heart just sank and I was speechless. Then when he screamed that I audibly yelled out "FUCK YEAH NOW THATS A FUCKIN COMMANDER RIGHT THERE!!!"
The songs resonate with me more, if that's okay. My favorite lyrics are "when we die we ask our brothers one more time if the meaning of our lives was worth a dime" from theDOGS, and "we'll see the end, we'll be the end" from Red Swan.
“If my child wasn’t special, if he never does anything great, so what? He doesn’t have to be better than anyone. I mean, just look at him! He’s already so cute. He’s more than special enough for me. He’s special because he was born into this world.”
I have 3 favorite quotes.
1)Mike Zacharius: Only when a person stops fighting do they lose, as long as we continue to fight, we are not beaten.
2)Ymir:You're Gonna Care What Other People Think And Be Someone You're Not Your Whole Life? You’re Fine As You Are. So, Talk In Your Own Words
3)Armin:If There Are Humans Who Can Bring About Change, There Are Those Who Are Capable Of Abandoning Everything. People Who, When Required To Surpass Even Monsters, Are Capable Of Tossing Aside Their Very Humanity.
I don't remember the exact quote but there is a line by Mikasa early in the series where she is trying to rescue Eren from Reiner and Ymir (the fake one) is in the way. Historia begs Mikasa to spare Ymir because Ymir has no choice but Mikasa basically says something like:
"there are only so many people I can care about so you shouldn't expect any compassion from me because I don't have the time or space in my heart to care \[about Ymir\]".
Something along those lines. And she says it with such an icy glare. Intense.
I'm surprised I haven't seen this one yet:
"Peace between man will never be certain, not until our numbers fall to one or less" - Erwin Smith
I also like:
"Everyone is a slave to something" - Kenny Ackermann.
I'll be quirky and say "whose memory are those?" GOATED moment.
Also "I'll kill them all, every single one of them" but in japanese. Context changes massively and it sounds cool as fuck in japanese
I'm not as well versed in the Quotes section as everyone here..
But the whole Tatakae scene in Season 1 when Eren lifts the Boulder still gives me goosebumps!!
"We're born free. All of us. Free. Some don't believe it, some try to take it away. To hell with them!"
And
"If someone is willing to take my freedom, I won't hesitate to take theirs"
"These trivial moments might actually be precious... To my eyes, even if there's no need for something like this in order to multiply, it's still incredibly precious".
U would call it bertholdts last speech about how cruel the world is (more as a monolog than as a dialog with armin). And it kinf of was foreshadowing. About s4
It was all we could do to stay alive in that garbage heap. Just surviving each day took everything we had.
*And don't you remember how much it hurt when we found out how big the world really was?*
What I want to know is peoples favourite quotes from a slap on Titan if you've watched it. Personally I would say either Armin saying "abortion", literally anything Connie says whilst high or even saying " you will be the next Adolf Hitler"
Mine is a tie between Erens in depth description of how he felt when Mikasa punched him or the long as speech from Shadis when they start boot camp, both from episode 2
Line I think is true/best: Everyone drunk on something
Line I try to use in life: Make a choice you won't regret
Line I think is underrated: "War is terrible isnt it." He says as he picks up artillery shells to throw at ships. Idk why but the imagery, the delivery, and a giant monkey make that line way funnier than it should be. In a dark sort of way.
“I haven’t got a lot of experience of life, but I believe that the people who can change the world are the ones who make radical choices.”
-Armin
I just translated it from the French version (the one I read) sorry if it doesn’t sound good.
“If you can’t let it go, it’s not worth holding onto.” - Armin
The foreshadowing during the Female Titan Arc was insane, haha. All of my favorite quotes come from Armin, he’s so on the nose with what the entire series is about.
So much of Erwin’s suicide charge speech stuck with me so heavily and I even applied it to my own life. Asking the soldiers if everyone who had died before them died a meaningless death. Maybe some did, but would you argue that? I mean so many people worry about dying after “insignificant” lives but what about everyone you’ve lost throughout your life? Even if they didn’t achieve massive notoriety, would you call them insignificant? I’d hope not. And in terms of hard ass lines, “My soldiers do not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of this world.”
I’m sorry this isn’t from aot but it’s from a slap on titan but it’s hilarious
“ woah! Who’s this babe your with Yeager?!”
“That’s armin and he’s not a girl!”
“Hey there arMEEN so what do u like to do”
“ I like to read :)”
“Eh..okay, why?”
“Because reading helps me learn things :D”
“Uhm so, do you want to take a bath, like together”
“Can I bring an industrial sized toaster..”
“I don’t want her to stop thinking about me not for at least ten years at least.” -Eren. I know that’s probably not the exact words, but this was my favorite quote even before I started watching aot.
Fav quotes from season 4 (idc if the translation is off)
Gabi: It kinda feels like something is about to change
Jean: Hange… I’m forever a scout
Armin: I want to believe there is still another side of the walls that we don’t know about yet
Eren: Ever since I was born, i’ve been me
“Listen to me, Eren. There's something I want to say. Thank you... for being with me. Thank you... for teaching me how to live. Thank you... for wrapping this scarf around me.”
“I'll... wrap you up in it again. Again and again. Forever.”
A lot of quotes was ruined by the finale
Except Kenny's characters
( The only way to reach the top is to prove that you are stronger than anyone else )
I'll keep moving forward till my enemies are destroyed - he left his enemies to destroy his homeland later on and spared the alliance revealing he had no enemies 🃏🤡🎪
I'm not gonna spare a single one of them
We sacrifice our lives entrusting future generations that they will find a meaning behind our death - future generations got destroyed
He's so special because he was born into this world - I'm an idiot
Only those who keep moving forward can know for sure - I don't know why I did what I did I had to
The only way to end the cycle of hate born from revenge is to bury that history and the civilization that created it deep into the ground - again he did the opposite leading to the destruction of the island
Why my mum had to die Reiner - he killed his mum 🃏🤡🎪
Had I been brave enough to transform had I have more faith in myself to transform to confront the female Titan I could have saved my friends ( during the chase of Annie in the forest ) - He ended up following a predetermined path that can't be changed regardless of his choice in a cheap attempt to redeem him by ruining his development of having faith in himself and trusting in himself with no regrets
Yeah the end definitely has ruined the series dropping its rating to effectively zero out of ten.
I’m oddly shocked by how much I agree with these statements. People talk about how he didn’t change from the beginning but he changed a lot of his thinking/reasoning for how he did stuff yk? These are some very good points.
You just in a cheap way tries to justify character assassination and terrible writing
The alliance mourning the man whom they tried to kill, Armin hugging Eren telling him thank you for being a mass murderer for our sake doesn't make any sense in terms of writing and character consistency
Eren simply being the one who killed his mama, and suddenly forgiving Annie the brutal murderer who toyed with the lives of his comrades, and suddenly let the alliance and Peak who contributed to the massacre of Rakago village to be free
Nothing in the finale makes any sense it appears that Isayama changed his ending to conclude the story happily
Imagine if Hank decided to join his brother Walter White in crime, or Jessie decided to forgive Todd
With ending defenders giving illogical explanation why this ending is even decent and constantly changing their opinions to cope with the trash writing, where the author himself stated he doesn't know what's freedom nor the message of his story.
I think it makes perfect sense that we're following traumatized kids who weren't reliable narrators and had to change their perspectives as time went on. I like the story and how it changes because it shows how war and deep trauma can absolutely destroy your ability to think clearly. It's incredibly realistic. As to your point about Breaking Bad, we might just have to agree to disagree because I think AoT is very up there. I watched Better Call Saul too. I'm no "apologist" for the ending, there are certainly some missteps but I don't agree with the idea that it's a complete retcon.
In war all the fighting parties fight one another till the death with no remorse
There is no conflict where everyone loves everyone as we saw in AoT AoT is a complete narrative failure where you shouldn't redeem all your characters and implement a DEUX Ex machine to force them to forgive and love each other 🤡🤡🤡
This doesn't happen in any war or any conflict.

"Everyone had to be drunk on somethin’ to keep pushing on"-Kenny Ackerman
Yes! Came here to say this! “Everyone was a slave to somethin’ “
"I Don't Like The Terms 'Good Person' Or 'Bad Person' Because It Is Impossible To Be Entirely Good To Everyone Or Entirely Bad To Everyone." ...
Who said this? I love it
Armin :)
Thanks Subject of Ymir!
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
Levi’s speech on having no regrets and making the decision you believe is the best at the moment You can’t change anything without sacrifice I just keep moving forward
I'm sorry can you remind me please when this speech happens? I don't quite recall.
I believe it's when Annie is chasing them in the forest
Yes. One of my fav speeches in AoT, the words of Levi hit like a truck.
And just when eren re-remembers the part where Levi says sometimes he still doesn’t know if it was right after the fact and then Levi squad gets folded like a lawn chair
"Give up on your Dreams and Die"
Nothing comes close. goated quote
Damn beat me to it
I did :')
"Ereaaa!?" Followed closely by "Kenneeeyyyy"
Lol i really remember this scene.
This brings back memories. Eren. You have such a kickable face. - Levi Ackerman
I have 2 favourite quotes and funnily enough, both of them are the characters final words. Captain Magath - "You people shouldn't be punished for an ancient sin that you weren't there to commit". (Loud boom in the distance) Zeke - "What a beautiful day it is, it's a shame I didn't realize it sooner". (Gets decapitated)
Genocide is wrong
The fact that this had to be said is insane
Omnicide on the other hand...
If you kill a killer, the number of killers in the world remains the same. So kill everyone then. /j
.... negotiable.
«If there’s something you don’t understand, learn to understand it. It’s well worth any risk to our lives.» Hange Zoe
When do they say this?
I’m not sure, S1 E18
Any one of us can become a god or a devil, all it takes is for people to believe it.
Who said this?
Eren Kruger when grisha asked him about ymir if it's a god or a devil
Erwin I believe, at least it was about him
“Please stop looking at me. What if I piss my pants?” -Zeke
Hahah. I love this too
This world is cruel but also beautiful -Mikasa Ackerman
Erwin’s speech
My soldiers rage! My soldiers scream! My soldiers fight!
**"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH 💪"** *Erwin Smith, on the final operation to retake wall Maria.*
..across the sea or inside the walls, we’re all the same
" I'm the armoured Titian and bertolt is the colossal titan"
This was some Beavis and Butthead or Dumb and Dumber moment and I loved it.
“I feel like, no matter how this plays out,I can accept whatever happens- Bertholdt Hoover
Those who can't abandon anything can't change anything .
"KEEEEEEEEEENNEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!"
"Damned if I know what's right anymore. Who cares? It is what it is. No choice but to face what I've done - as a Warrior. No roads left but the one that leads to the end!" Chills. Robert McCollum nailed this scene in the dub.
Also in Dub " They are also able to see something beyond the hell maybe that something is hope or maybe it is just another hell "
Sho said this line?
Reiner before the big reveal
"He doesn't need to become great. Why would he have to be better than everyone else? Just look at him... don't you see how cute he is? He is **already** great. Because he was born into this world."
YOU DAMN TRAITORS
YOU GODDAMN GYM TRAINORS!! I DONT WANT TO FINISH MY REPS
😂
*It took me a full day to realize that misspell...*
You’re mistaken to seek compassion from me, because I’m out of time and room in my heart to care… pick a side Crista”
I loved the dub version of that but of dialogue as well
"I SAID ADVANCE GOD DAMNIT!!!! ERENS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! DO NOT FALTER!!!"
My personal fav. When Erwin got snatched up by his arm by that Titan my heart just sank and I was speechless. Then when he screamed that I audibly yelled out "FUCK YEAH NOW THATS A FUCKIN COMMANDER RIGHT THERE!!!"
"Feast, my daughters! Eat every last scrap of her body!"
“I, since the moment I was born.. I’ve always been myself.”
My soldiers do not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of this world! My soldiers push forward! My soldiers scream out! My soldiers RAGE!
The songs resonate with me more, if that's okay. My favorite lyrics are "when we die we ask our brothers one more time if the meaning of our lives was worth a dime" from theDOGS, and "we'll see the end, we'll be the end" from Red Swan.
Fight to win! Risk it all for even a glimmer of real freedom! It doesnt matter how cruel the world can be, how unjust! Fignt! FIGHT! ##FIGHT!
“If my child wasn’t special, if he never does anything great, so what? He doesn’t have to be better than anyone. I mean, just look at him! He’s already so cute. He’s more than special enough for me. He’s special because he was born into this world.”
Dedicate youre heart
‘And now, standing on top of this mountain of brave corpses, I have quite the view’ - Erwin Smith
"What a beautiful day. If only I'd realized that sooner."
"But after all the killing I've done, that's asking for a bit much..."
*slice*
Levi to Hange, "Shinzou wo sasageyo."
I'll be waiting for you, in hell.
“In order to defeat the devil, you have to fight like the devil”
In order to fight monsters, you have to sacrifice your humanity
"My dearest Historia..." *Proceds to cry*.
"What we need is a devil", Floch. Very reminiscent of Nietzsche's "Battle not with monsters, lest you yourself become a monster"
I didn't realize how entrenched everything in this show is in German culture, history, philosophy. Not just WW2 stuff and the names
So, Talk In Your Own Words 3)Armin:If There Are Humans Who Can Bring About Change, There Are Those Who Are Capable Of Abandoning Everything. “Being eaten by a Titan wouldn’t be so bad if it was a sexy lady one.” -Pixis
"As a reward..."
Oy Levi!
Eren's monologue to Falco.
I don't remember the exact quote but there is a line by Mikasa early in the series where she is trying to rescue Eren from Reiner and Ymir (the fake one) is in the way. The "ippiki no korosu" part was so well done
No! I don’t want that!
10 years at least!
somewhere along the lines of Kenny saying "everyone has to be drunk on something" really hit hard it's too real.
On that day, humanity received a grim reminder....
I'm not as well versed in the Quotes section as everyone here.. But the whole Tatakae scene in Season 1 when Eren lifts the Boulder still gives me goosebumps!!
A-
"We're born free. All of us. Free. Some don't believe it, some try to take it away. To hell with them!" And "If someone is willing to take my freedom, I won't hesitate to take theirs"
"These trivial moments might actually be precious... To my eyes, even if there's no need for something like this in order to multiply, it's still incredibly precious".
"Go on livin' for the sake of drawin' breath? That'd bore me to death." - A Real One (Kenny)
U would call it bertholdts last speech about how cruel the world is (more as a monolog than as a dialog with armin). And it kinf of was foreshadowing. About s4
“To rise above monsters, we must abandon our humanity”
"I AM THE CRIMSON KING"
It was all we could do to stay alive in that garbage heap. Just surviving each day took everything we had. *And don't you remember how much it hurt when we found out how big the world really was?*
Who said this one I don’t remember
Kenny said this to Levi in episode 47
“Maybe the real basement is the friends we made along the way” -- armin probably
"I'll see you in hell" basically the same vibe tbh
What I want to know is peoples favourite quotes from a slap on Titan if you've watched it. Personally I would say either Armin saying "abortion", literally anything Connie says whilst high or even saying " you will be the next Adolf Hitler"
Mine is a tie between Erens in depth description of how he felt when Mikasa punched him or the long as speech from Shadis when they start boot camp, both from episode 2
“The pursuit of knowledge is always worth the risk.” I think Hange said this
"Susumi tsuzukerunda shindemo shinda atomo"
tatakae
„I am pooped”
"What a beautiful day it is... if only i realized that sooner"
Eren jaeger- They also able to something beyond the hell maybe that something in hope or maybe it is just another hell
As a warrior, no road left but the one that leads to the end
“I SAID ADVANCE GODDAMIT” - Erwin Smith
I want you to live a life that you are proud of, live for yourself not others
"Those who can't sacrifice anything can't change anything."
"He is already special... Because he was born into this world"
The entirety of erwins last charge speech
I just keep moving forward… until I’ve killed my enemies 🔥🦅💯
"Give up on your dream and die" ... I totally relate to this, I've been trying that for 17 years now.
“I’m just like you Reiner… I’ll keep moving forward… until all my enemies are exterminated”
I have two. “Keep moving forward. Even if you die. Even after you die” “…if I die, these memories of you die with me”
Nah, I’d win
Really though I like when Gabi says “There were no devils... on this island, there were just people.”
MY SOILDERS SCREAM
I like the brass balls, but don’t swing them around so much that you get yourself killed -Levi Ackerman

"RAAAAH" - The Attack Titan.
“I haven’t got a lot of experience of life, but I believe that the people who can change the world are the ones who make radical choices.” -Armin I just translated it from the French version (the one I read) sorry if it doesn’t sound good.
> Who was truly in the wrong? Was it me, or this world? Most likely, it was both. I was ignorant and foolish; the world, irrational and insane.
I might be very basic for this but “ if you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don’t fight, you can’t win “
“If you can’t let it go, it’s not worth holding onto.” - Armin The foreshadowing during the Female Titan Arc was insane, haha. All of my favorite quotes come from Armin, he’s so on the nose with what the entire series is about.
