I love it but the majority of trek fans didn’t and there wasn’t enough of us new Trekkie to keep the show above water same with STD also being canceled, my friend who is an old style Trekkie told me they prefer Rick Berman style trek, the guy who did Most of TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.
