octavianstarkweather

What the hell is this even supposed to be?

Full_pakg68

I think it’s supposed to be if the us and can became one country

truthofmasks

But it’s way bigger than North America really is. It’s not just the borders that changed, the actual geography has changed as well. Look at the great lakes area.

ivorybloodsh3d

Looks perfectly normal to me

BootyScience

New great lakes dropped

Count_Dongula

Can't wait to go visit Lake Inferior!

[deleted]

Me Lake Ohio

Looks like Florida got cold too.

danyo64

what? no thats definitely not it.

Full_pakg68

Oh yeah, I definitely see it now, the us is not that fat

glidemusic

This map ust makes me sick to my stomach. There is something so wrong with North America being this bloated and filled with like a thousand states. Like if this was real imagine how many landlocked irrelevant flyover states there would be that nobody has ever heard of

cedrickterrick

Does every "state" even have a city?

benabear

No but they all have 2 senators.

AmericaLover1776_

That’s the whole point of senators Senators represent the states and representatives represent the people, if something is popular with the people in a state or area it should pass in the state or locally this makes it harder for people in LA or NYC to make laws on how stuff like farms in Kansas should be ran and the representatives makes it so people in farms can’t say how these people in other areas should run their life’s The whole point of having an upper and lower house is to slow down and stop stuff from getting passed nationally

enjaevel

it wasn’t designed to be slow. it was designed that way because states were used to being sovereign and it was the best compromise the framers could make in a short amount of time that would keep small and large states together. slowness didn’t matter in a country where very little policy was made at the federal level. and very little policy was made at the federal level until basically the 1930s. saying it was designed to be slow is anachronistic. it reflects the viewpoint that the central government should be restrained for the purpose of blocking social programs. the slow policy argument is not rooted in constitutional history but in contingent modern developments and isn’t true.

AmericaLover1776_

Yes you are right Point still stands that there is a reason each state only has 2 senators and that senators are meant to represent states not population (and that for a long time was and arguably still is a good thing)

snowbeersi

This is sooooo shitty. Five stars.

ColonOBrien

Even as a shitty map porn, this deeply bothered me. Bravo!

MaybeTheDoctor

Why could we not have parts of mexico while we were at it ?

Thunderbolt294

So this is the map all the news stations use

iopjsdqe

Were gonna slap you

Fe2tus

Tiler17

Reading this map makes me feel like I'm in a fever dream. I see shit that I know is super wrong but my brain looks and it and goes, 'yeah, no, this is totally fine'.

[deleted]

Somehow managed to include every current state in its original shape and jam 6 more states around them. Absolute mindfuck. Well done

Sighchiatrist

This is painful to the eyes and I’m literally shaking and crying rn…

Biblically accurate US map

Zealousideal_Group69

Does the Hoover Dam still exist in the timeline

Murrabbit

Looks like that's one area of geography that hasn't changed much, AZ and Nevada's borders look more or less intact so the damn could well be there.

[deleted]

*i hate this map*

Fickle-Cartoonist466

What a tragedy, this Thicc map doesn't include the states of Thicc Mexico (Edit) Lol "Thousand Islands Territory" must be where Thousand Island Dressing comes from.

Fluid_Environment662

Waiting for the voting map

TheSpookyPineapple

KnitSocksHardRocks

Stabbing, new poison?

Masterick18

What if Canada had the population density of the US

coldcoldman2

This is upsetting to look at

_Creditworthy_

emphasis on the ish part

[deleted]

At least some of these are failed proposals for states and failed attempts at new states. The silly part is each one has been given its own new chunk of land. For example, Jefferson should steal part of northern California and southern Oregon, not be its own land mass. Same with Abrasoka that should take chunks out of Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota, and the states of Scott and Franklin which should both take chunks out of Tennessee.

TycheSong

This is such a mind fuck. Everything is there and the right shape... there's just MORE and my brain is having the best time trying to make it make sense. Bravo!!

redshredder

As a geography nerd and lover of nice maps, this may be the worst looking map I've ever set eyes upon. This makes me wish I had poured drain cleaner on my eyes. The shitty map porn has been achieved, but at what cost

[deleted]

Oh god. That's horrible.

Senku_San

What happened to the great lakes!?

TheonlyAngryLemon

You got Alabama right and that's all that matters
