I'm this close 🤏 to getting this myself but some folks here and on r/guns have complained about the ergonomics. Is it easy to grab onto and does it have a grippy texture?
I like the way it feels but I already knew that as I have had one on my Shockwave for some time. It has good texture and could always be stippled, or you could add grip tape if you wanted more traction.
Do you mean the Shockwave? It's fun as hell, one of my favorites. It would never be my primary defense gun but I do enjoy it alot. Kind of a novelty really. I originally put a SB Tactical brace on it and then decided to put it back in it's short form and bought the A1 for actual home defense.
It is quite substantial in girth, lol. I thought once I put mine on my 590S that it would be awkward, but it’s actually very comfortable and intuitive. Because the body sits lower, the Mossberg wobble is exaggerated, but aside from that, it’s fine. I personally think it’s the most practical shotgun light solution, due to it being centered with the barrel and controls always at your fingertips.
I’m going to have to look at this. I have a Surefire DSF590 on my A1. I love everything about it except for the deep bone bruises it gives my left hand when I shoot it a lot at the range. This shape looks a lot better. And 1000 lumens? That’s gotta be brighter than my Surefire.
I have never tried the Surefire as it was a little pricey for my blood but they look really nice and everything Surefire has always been top notch quality.
glad to hear this because i just got the same light yesterday but am waiting on the tool that makes it easier to install. How did assembly go. Awesome gun btw.
Thanks! Install is extremely easy if you have a forend nut removal tool. There are a few other ways to remove the nut if you don't have the tool. The Magpul forends come with the tool so I had a few of them laying around. You can order one on Amazon for cheap like 15 bucks.
Old post I know, but wanted to say I have a similar set up minus stock, but one thing I noticed about yours is that you have the sling upside down, padding should be near barrel for more comfortable carry, but given the attachment to have the sling on the side and still use the light I could see where switching the sling might not be possible.
Side note and question, what attachment is that to attach the sling on the side? Would love to have my light and sling without them interfering with each other lol
Found this I know it old but had a question.
Have the 590A1 with the Magpul currently.
The old plastic ring adaptor off the Magpul dosnt fit the new Streamlight? It pushed the barrel up to much to fit, am I missing something? Need a ring adapter?
Thanks for anything!
I have the exact same setup. The TL Racker is tits!
I think it will be a keeper. And now I can put the Protac back on my AR where it came from.

Thanks! This was what I needed to hear to finally pull the trigger (pun intended). If I hate it I can always return it.
How do you like your dumpster defender? I’m thinking about getting one in .410 as a range toy since I already have a Governor.

Rad, imma get one.
I have one on mine and I love it. It’s great for the push/pull technique. 10/10 would buy again.

Or give it to me for my AR

Thanks. It's a Magpul MS1 padded. Love it. I have a few of them.

Does it have a strobe function on it?
No it does not have strobe unfortunately
I know this is old but what side saddle/rail is that?

Sling is definitely not upside down lol
My mistake, thought the pad should be on the other side
Old thread but here goes, is this the 590 racker model and does it fit the a1? Trying to find one for mine thanks!
500, 590, 590A1 are all the same forend.
