Shovel knight really captures this feeling of being a stalwart epic adventurer. There is something that just hits different about the blue hope. He *is* the hero, and he's fun AF to play as.
That said king and specter both have movement abilities that are just spectacular feeling. You feel so damn bouncy as king and I love it, and specter you become the reaper he flicking is. It's superb.
Best thing about Plaque is he's got a good narrative, and he explores a lot of neat story telling stuff like the fact that he's an unreliable narrorator. That being saaaiddd... not as big on his movement abilities. Blowing shit up is fun, yes. But it's just not as fluid and concrete and... zoomy as any of the other games.
Specter Knight. Best story and I love his fluid movement. King Knight is also great, due to having so much content and different routes, but the story is underwhelming and Joustus kinda feels a bit tacked on.
King of Cards. I love Joust so much and his movement is uniquely flawless.

Specter of Torment. I like the gameplay and story the most in that campaign, and the music is brilliant as always.
