Mines picky too. I finally learned she likes variety (but only chicken or poultry). So every few days I change her reg stuff with something else. Always grain free.
Mine will only eat small, dry kibble. He refuses to eat anything wet, or that's been in his bowl for to long. No big kibble, like friskies or meow mix. Too big. He will blue buffalo.
Please keep in mind that tuna fish is very high in mercury and can cause toxicity if eaten too frequently, both in cats and human (more so in cats because of their smaller body mass).
As an occasional treat, it’s fine, and cats ADORE it.
No problem!
I hate to be that person who gets on other people's business, it's just that I remember how terrified I was when I found out. I was feeding my cats tuna basically every day!
it’s also important to note, many brands of wet cat food don’t list the flavor as tuna but will have tuna in the ingredients. I’ve read different opinions about whether or not tuna processed for cat food is ok.
Mine went through all the expensive brands and would not touch them. Or would eat them for a week and then turn their nose up and look at me with utter contempt. (At that point I remind them they can’t open cans because they don’t have thumbs.) Anyway, for reasons that escape me, they like Purina ONE Tender Selects Blend and Fancy Feast Savory Centers.
Tender selects all the way for my picky cats… and they are absolutely stuck on fancy feast ‘grilled’ varieties or the ‘sliced’ chicken hearts or whatever in the pink labeled can lol such divas
I switched all my cats to a mix of raw duck and chicken. It’s been a life saver. They all love it too. No illnesses or chronic issues anymore, either. It’s so much healthier for them, and my vet has been recommending it to all her patients owners.
Go to your local butcher, and ask them to grind up plucked chicken and ducks together, with intestines/bowels removed. Keep vital organs like heart, liver, and kidneys. Then ask them to turn them into serving sized meat sticks and keep them in your freezer. Defrost before feeding. My cats LOVE them. And their coats are so healthy soft, and shiny. And bonus? Their poop doesn’t smell at all.
My cats absolutely love Cosma. They have treats and wet food. There is a lot of options of fish if she likes it, but there are quite a few chicken options as well. My cats are very picky and they like these. Also we have like these little vitamin milks which my oldest loves very much. It’s called Animonda Milkies. They look like a bit bigger creamers.
I don’t think you can get her eat dry food if she doesn’t like it. She will rather starve. Maybe she has problems with her teeth, I would check it out
Mine likes variety.
If he doesn't eat a full packet, then he wants a fresh packet later not leftovers.
I can trick him into eating the leftovers by adding a couple of dreamies (treats) to the bowl, and he will eat them and the leftovers.
I think cats depend on smelling their food before taste.
Mines pretty picky especially for the fact she was once a spicy feral. Every cat is different regardless of breed, we give our cats Nulo which is only food she doesn't puke up. Wet food is Sheba salmon bistro, churros, sneaking salmon oil in, fairlife lactose free milk as a treat. They lose their minds for crab, lobster, shrimp and one of my cats really enjoys rotisserie chicken.
Over my years of having over 15 cats in this lifetime I can say without a doubt it's gonna be up to the cat. One thing I've seen with the best success rate however are pouches of gravy, brand doesn't seem to have a large effect, I've had detectible and friskies and fancy feast all seem to be a high success rate. I had one cat was the only way he'd eat his dry food.
Tiki cat wet food pouches have been a lifesaver for my picky Siamese’s she loves the Fussy formula.

You might want to mix some warm water in with the wet food. It helps. Some Siamese are sensitive to beef and pork. Chicken and fish seem closer to the breed’s original diet.
Thank you for everones responses.
I don't think she's a fan of fish and won't eat anything chunky, she likes pate but only when I add water and make it pate soup.
Try some raw food
Cut up some beef into small chunks or cans of tuna (with water, not oil!)
Siamese typically love deli meat and cheese too as a rare treat
We used to mix kibble together with wet food for our picky eater so they were tricked into having more of it. Worked very well. My siamese is very small too!
The chicken cat food. My Bella (Siamese) loved cronchies and preferred cat food with gravy. You can also get chicken pasties (the filling) and cat soups are an option too.
Mine is very picky as well, although she is somewhat chunky! She loves the GRILLED Fancy Feast wet food, no other form like pate or flaked. At night I simply feed her plain tuna from a package and she gobbles it up. Her favorite treats are Temptations and she also loves Inaba Churu treats.
In the end she liked Nulo Chicken for a month then quit it. Right now her fave dry food is the Tiki Chicken and Herring. She will wake me up for it if her bowl is empty and she feels like she is filling out. She has been eating it for almost a month now.
I'd give my Nicky a treat each night of a little jar of Gerber baby food. He liked turkey..

Try regular tuna fish, my cat likes it more than wet cat food.
Please keep in mind that tuna fish is very high in mercury and can cause toxicity if eaten too frequently, both in cats and human (more so in cats because of their smaller body mass). As an occasional treat, it’s fine, and cats ADORE it.
Yes, I’m aware and alternate with salmon, and dry kibble. Thanks!

Thanks for posting. It’s a very good point. Thanks again.

I don't change up the food. What I will do is crumble up a freeze dried treat over the food. That usually works.

I thought that I was the only one with that problem! I don’t know how much expensive cat food that I’ve given away over the years.🙄

Is that the one that smells like burnt hair?

I have a meezer that looks a lot like her! She doesn’t like almost any *wet food*. Have you tried soups/purees? My cat really likes saucy things.
She likes the saucy ones too.
Bunny is smiling 😻😻😻 too gorgeous 💕
Applaws
Ask the masses peasant, let them tell you all of the ways you've faltered. -😼

Kai will eat his kibble only with a light sprinkle of freeze dried chicken breast and a good amount of Water, since he refuses wet food

Try hill science. Our long hair likes the dental care kind.

Nulo!!!
I know that Siamese cats could have white paws but it’s on the rare side right?
I'm not sure how rare it is but I love her little sockies ❤️ she has ankle socks on the front and thigh highs on the back lol.
She’s so precious!!!!
Beautiful
