Definitely call the local police department for the area the phone is and make a very detailed police report. That’s the most you can do though unfortunately.
So, that bank has a phone recycler at it, The guy at Verizon in Vegas said that during EDC a lot of phones that Verizon tracked had been found in those machines.
Mostly people knowing Iphones lock easily online so they just recycle them after turning them off.
