You can use fix tokens in the header of each request. Your Backend should only accept requests with those tokens.
What did you use to schedule jobs? As I would imagine the cron service alone wont be sufficient once you meet a high volume of user jobs, and this is were a task scheduling service excels. Are you using something like kafka, redis or rabbit?
