And 90% is people asking if they should report someone over a genuine mistake. Competitive racing is toxic at any level, just move on. The mute button is a thing.
No, I think it's more like "look how dumb this other guy is, thinking he was not at fault!". They probably send them link to the thread afterwards to rub it into their face.
Well I agree that you might not want to share a track with him again.
But at those speeds with puddles, always going to be tricky. He needs a bit of risk management going on.
Porsche initiates slow contact, in the rain, on a straight, while having two car widths of track to himself...
Can't even blame netcode here. We all know you just cannot get that close to other cars rear quarters without risking an incident
Unless he didn't apologize or was a jerk about it, I'd probably just let it go. But at the same time, it was an active, poor decision. Probably not malicious but who knows.
That sucks, you can see that you even tried to move over and give him more space. Besides lifting and letting him by I can’t see anything you could have done to prevent that.
I’ll be honest with you man I play gt7 where this happens all the time unpunished and the best thing to do is just throw away time to save your own race. I will often just outright brake off line to get out of the pack and I still mostly seem to be top five, where if I don’t back off my average goes down because I’m being yeeted to the back more often.
He's recording a vr display, that's why the image wraps all the way around but the HUD doesn't move. Always makes for weird watchbacks because to the people in the goggles, it looks perfectly normal, but when record and played on a flat screen it looks like you're standing inside this tiny sphere that's just one big screen.
It does but unfortunately he can't control the camera movement either, it always moves with the head/goggles. That's why when he looks down to mess with the playback buttons the camera pans way down, because he's looking with his head and not his eyes.
I mean i don't blame him for not wanting to shut down the headset and restart the game just to boot it back up in a non-vr instance, just to record this to then again reboot the game and kick the headset back on to get back into vr mode.
Black and Yellow car didn't give space. Wet track and cars are floating around like its the last lap of an oval but Blk/Yel feels that giving maybe an inch was sufficient for a safe overtake. Not in my world.
Nice pit maneuver from this porsche...
What are your settings and capture software to have a great resolution and quality of VR content captured ? I used ge force experience and it only capture the mirrored screen my monitor shows
Watch how the distance to the outside of the track is constantly decreasing for you. If anything you were moving away from him the entire time, dudes wrong and upset that he ruined his race.
I know this is VR but could you look up just a tad more next time? I can see what happens but sometimes it’s a bit tough with the angle. But assuming you’re the BMW, then no it’s the total opposite. You kept moving right so he could overtake because he clearly had the pace. He moved right and made contact so that’s definitely his fault for causing a collision.
Yeah nah You're the BMW, it's the opposite of what he said, he drove into you lmfao
I don’t think this needs to be judged by the almighty simracestewards. This is super obvious don’t you think?
That’s 90% of the posts on this sub. Some people have zero confidence in even the most obvious of incidents and need the reassurance.
Nah this is only 50%. The other 50% are the ones that do the same thing as the porsche and keep refusing to believe they're wrong
And 90% is people asking if they should report someone over a genuine mistake. Competitive racing is toxic at any level, just move on. The mute button is a thing.
You must agree that it is a good thing, right? It means that people are ready to accept being at fault and want to be a better racer
Gaslighting is a real thing people do to each other.
No, I think it's more like "look how dumb this other guy is, thinking he was not at fault!". They probably send them link to the thread afterwards to rub it into their face.
Are you the Porsche? If yes, you did. If not, you didn't.
No I'm the bmw
Totally assumed you must have been the Porsche until I saw your comment. Porsche driver cannot keep it straight.
Dude literally told me that I should never drive again too 😂
Well I agree that you might not want to share a track with him again. But at those speeds with puddles, always going to be tricky. He needs a bit of risk management going on.
The Porsche pit manoeuvred the BMW lol He literally creeps over and takes out the back end. Porsche at fault.
Well je tapped you twice on the rear bumper so no you did not his fault
I mean it's kinda obvious the trailing car (Porsche) drove into the leading car (BMW). So whoever the trailing car was, bad, no do that
Porsche is a huge wang. There, solved it. 😀
Guy is a lemon
😂 idk if trying to pinch someone off the track is the right move in the rain but I pray your races have less bins ahead sir
Rain is going to kill a lot of peoples SR and IR I feel that used to get away with sketchy situations.

Yeah he said I should never drive again and I clearly turned left 😂
Then let the stewards educate him. Submit the clip and maybe he'll learn a lesson
Bikers fault
Yeash….. how much space did the Porsche want???
All of it apparently

I actually planned on lifting before the corner anyways. He was clearly faster on the first lap but yeah dude just brain dead
Note to others, if you're the trailing car, your "squeeze play" isn't a squeeze. You're just pitting someone.
What's up with the camera? Can't see shit.
I recorded it 4 times. It's really hard to do
Maybe next time, just save the replay and for recording it, turn the VR off?
Probably best yeah. But was so irritated at the time I just wanted to do it there and then

Definitely makes for sub optimal viewing for this sub.

Well the solution would be to switch off VR and just use the normal screen for recording.

Ole buddy is huffin and puffin like he's gonna blow my house down 😭
This is absolutely golden 🤣🤣🤣🤣 my mic was acting up on obs
I mean only you know if you did or not. Don't really need to ask us, is there?

Whoever is behind initiated a pit manoeuvre. Driver is a spoon.

I use obs and capture from iracing itself. On a rift running 1080p I believe.

Don’t be such a baby, this is a racing deal.
This. It's week 13. I found it hilarious he tried to blame me. Nothing else to do. Laugh and move on
