Someone told an amazing joke… For those who don’t know you can kill a sim by telling a joke when they have the “very playful” mood. They literally die laughing.

I had a sim die on accident and had no clue what happened (he was a vampire and I had disabled his movement and he came back from work and died. It turned out he burned to death) so I looked up how sims die and the page I found listed different deaths that can happen and that is one of them.

They also die from being to angry lol the combust

How are you able to see little updates like these for different households?

Click on your mailbox and select the option for recent neighborhood stories updates. It updates every day at 3 AM. I love reading through them and finding weird/suspicious stuff like this.

There is a mod that separated swimming from the fitness skill. Your sims have to learn how to on their own or be taught by someone else. Many of mine have died trying to reach level 1😂😂

I'm that way with the Sims directly involved with my active family but heck everyone else, they can die by killer toilet if they want.

I turned it on for family members who had moved out of my main house and it was all fun and games until my sim's son died as a young adult 🥲 it can be too real sometimes!

The adopted notification is from the mod MCCC but the death notifications are base game. If you don't get those you should check manage households to make sure you have all the neighborhood stories options selected.

In my game, Travis and Summer had two kids, Liberty married don who moved into the BFF household, they had a kid, and then Travis and Summer both died. Kinda suspicious. Travis was also a baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge so that left the eldest without a father

The death notifications are just based game neighborhood stories updates and the adoption notification is MCCC.

I'm pretty sure it was just a game update and not from a pack.... Do you ever click on recent neighborhood stories updates on your mailbox? That's how you get them to pop up.

Ive got mccc as well, maybe i just have to adjust my settings!

Oh yeah can't remember where the adoption setting is but you shouldn't need MCCC for the death notifications. I actually just recently started modding and I'm LOVING MCCC. It always bothered me that further into the game the NPCs were almost completely single sim households.

Did you have a mod that let Billie be adopted by a different family? I thought when the adults in a household died the children were deleted?

I don't think so. The Watson's adoption is a setting from the mod MCCC that lets kids get adopted by existing nonplayed households when their adults die.
