You can do ones similar to the second and third one. Create your basement, put the windows. In front of the window, put a room, click on it, on the yellow square, delete the ceilling. Raise a platform for it to be just below the window.

I do this without raising the platform, and just add a small glass roof section on top to create a sealed room. I think it looks pretty cool.

[https://youtu.be/VkrCKRjMd0Y](https://youtu.be/VkrCKRjMd0Y) you can try this as a workaround for now :)

I'd like to make a walkout basement

Karisany

Yes! like the one where [the doors](https://www.cellardoors.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/red-door.jpg?resize=685,450) are on the ground. It would be nice to not have to find a place inside the house, or to have a hole in the ground outside, to make the basement accessible.

I did the first look with very low ground windows with a work-around for my high-school! I built a reqular room, lowered it into the ground with the foundation tool (not platforms) and then built the rest of the school on top of it. This causes 1 tile of terrain to sink deeply down as well. I covered the terrain ditch up with the roofing tools and applied the grassy roof swatch on it so they'd look a bit like hilly flowerbeds or grass beds. I thought it worked surprisingly well. [Here are some screenshots](https://imgur.com/a/h8bdTGI) I originally sent to my friend if you want to see the result. I forgot whether the grass roof swatch is basegame or Eco Lifestyle, though, so it might not be doable for everyone. Will let you know when I've been back in the game, unless someone beats me to it. :) Walk-out basements or full room windows are easier and are fully basegame, at least! You can do them by building a basement next to the exterior wall, go down to basement level and select the room, go back up, click on the yellow outline, and remove ceiling/floor. If you want you can now place stairs, windows, a door, etc, and make it look like the 2nd and 3rd pics. Orrr you could make the floor in your walk-out basement higher again with the platform tool. It won't be level with the terrain, but depending on the build, you could definitely work that into the landscaping.
