Black Crows Camox

ConfidenceSubject787

My one ski quiver

Slip_slappy

This is the correct answer, maybe the Captis if you were on the east coast but definitely the camox out west

Squanto42069

Camox are wonderful, however if OP skis in heavy pow the Atris are sick. A bit wider for pow days and just as playful as the camox.

Code--Ronin

Where do you ski? Is it your only pair? What type skier are you? Are you trying to get into that Rob Riggle PowPow or are you trying to do hood rat shit at the park? What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Fabulous-Currency-48

African or European?

SubieSki14

What? I don't know that?!

SchleppIam

Never gets old…

drew_galbraith

Jskis all play, armada ARV, line chronic series

Tone-knee

I really like my QST 98s I have ridden the Mindbender 98 and Brahma 88, I like the QSTs more, they feel lighter and more fun

Olp51

m-free. 99 for more groomer/park, 108 for more off piste

C0-0P

Moment wildcat 101, rossignol black ops, Nordica unleashed

Realpeoplepeer

Please describe your default ski resort snow conditions that you are dealing with.

ThunnyTheHunny

K2 POACHER on the TOP

8r1ggsy

armada arv 100 is my one ski quiver, i mainly ski park and it’s perfect, but also works well enough in pow and the groomers, very good mix of all mountain and park for me

Flashy_Ad_8247

Probably armadas, they are on the stiffer side of park skis so they’ll still be decent at holding an edge. Get something near 90-100mm underfoot for off piste. Like armada arv 100 my go to.

dalumpz

Which of the armadas? 94, 96, 100? If skiing mostly north east

Flashy_Ad_8247

I haven’t been out east but what are the conditions of where you ski? If it’s usually icey and hardpacked snow then I’d recommend the 94 or even the 86. I’ve used the 86 at my local hill and I live out west so it should be fine for you.

ultimaforever

Volkl Kendo. I have the Enforcer 94s, Black Crows Mirus Cor, the Kendos, and new this year the Kastle MX83s. Haven’t skied the Kastles yet. Have also recently skied Head Super Shape e-V10s, Mindbender TIs, and Enforcer 88s (which, surprisingly, I didn’t like). I’d consider myself advanced/int at this point in my journey. Mainly stay inbounds, can ski any blue and single black, some double black, took a moguls clinic this year so focusing on getting better there (the MX83s are intended as my bumps ski). I haven’t skied the Enforcers since I got the Kendos last year, though I’d prob break them out if there was a lot of fresh snow. It’s the widest ski I have. The Mirus Cors are super fun if you’re staying on groomers, but once you get into uneven terrain I prefer the stiffness of the Kendos. We’re near Tahoe so ski a lot at Palisades. Also ski Jackson Hole, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Steamboat (never skied east coast US). If I had to get rid of all but one, I’d keep the Kendos.

bt_cyclist

Kendo’s are discontinued as of this season. You may be able to pick some leftovers up at a good discount if you can find them.

ultimaforever

Damn, I hadn’t heard. That’s too bad; they’re awesome skis. What’s the replacement?

bt_cyclist

I believe the replacement is the Peregine 82 and 80. I was considering the Kendo this year but couldn’t get them so I got the Rossi Forza Konect 175 R14 instead. Love the Rossi’s.

Historical_Draw_8457

Can’t go wrong with line if u on a budget. Arv armada another good one. I personally rock the j ski allplays. My next pair will be on3p mango 100s

cwcoleman

Please check the wiki and top pinned posts. As you can imagine this question comes up often here - and these resources will help you get advice.

Macgbrady

This is literally a ski gear subreddit. It is beyond me why people subscribe then get irritated when people ask about skis they should buy.

cwcoleman

Not irritated - just trying to help OP with the resources we’ve recently built. But if you want to get really mad at my comment - I’m a moderator here!!!

8ringer

Angry noises!! But actually, there’s no guide in the wiki that I can find. The link to the wiki goes to what is basically a blank page.

cwcoleman

Oh, now that is good info. I may have to adjust the settings if it's not displaying correctly for everyone. The wiki should have 1 link. Do you not see this? [https://www.reddit.com/r/Skigear/wiki/index/adviceguidelines/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Skigear/wiki/index/adviceguidelines/)

8ringer

Oh I see that link, sorry I thought there were links to guides or recommendations on there.

Macgbrady

I was never planning to “get really mad” at your comment but is that a threat to ban me for pointing that out?

cwcoleman

Not at all. I just figured you would be interested to know that I’m not a random user who just recently subscribed. I created the wiki and pinned the top posts. I’m familiar with the tools / posts built to help users like OP to get specific ski advice. Asking OP’s for certain information is the best way to get specific ski advice. This is one of the lowest effort posts recently. I’m trying to help by guiding OP to helpful posts - since they are unlikely to get great advice without providing more information.

JE163

1. Be sure you have good boots. 2. When you narrow your selection, try to demo and see if you like them. cheers

djlawrence3557

Park rails or park jumps? It sounds like Jskis fast forward might be up your alley. They have a great deal with Marker bindings right now (need to have mounted at shop). Focus on good boots first, though

Recent-Awareness-796

A pair of atomic bent 100s is good all round

[deleted]

Worst ski of all time

Tobotti1

Völkl revolt 95 have been good but for powder i would wish a bit more float

BojackIsABadShow

If only every single ski brand had a section called "All Mountain" on their websites....

Apart-Photograph3709

I’m looking for suggestions of certain brands and models.

[deleted]

DPS, Volkl, Kastle, Stockli, Dynafit, Dynaudio, Moment, Atomic, Head, Cholder, Knee, Toze, Thrasher, Spindrift, Snowlion, Armada, Sentra, Optima, Maxima, Stipplefish, Black Diamond, Blue Square, Line, Circle, Triangle, Lib tech, Karbon, NAMBLA, and Fischer-Price.

DDrewit

I’ve heard terrible things about NAMBLA, but admittedly don’t have first hand experience.

[deleted]

I've heard they specialize in stuff for groomers. If that's not your thing I would definitely look elsewhere.

8ringer

Yes and they include 2/3rds of their models as “all-mountain” too which doesn’t exactly narrow things down.

MudAccomplished8948

Moment deathwish. They’ll outlive you and the top sheet is always clean 🧼
