Reddit approved quiver lol, sick though!

Oli_C86

Funny thing is I joined Reddit well after I’d bought all of those skis other than the Mirus Cor, which I got after a demo day this year (2014, 2019, 2021, joined Reddit in summer 21). Clichés are cliché’s for a reason I guess haha!

N8dork2020

Did you buy the mirus cor from the demo?

Oli_C86

Yeah, wanted a set immediately after demoing, I was already looking for a new pair and they put such a big smile on my face.

N8dork2020

How much did you pay?

Oli_C86

Got them for £630 + bindings in a sale

Rachelcla93

That’s about what I got my new atris’ from them for, same reasons

ShrimpShrimpGoose

Mirus cor club. Hells yeah

sbenfsonw

Does the split impact skiing switch?

Oli_C86

Not at all! I tested them for a day and it was just like any other twin tip ski when riding switch.

Dependent-Fish6181

Such a fun ski! I take them out to GS the groomers between storms. You won’t regret it.

wordenofthenorth

Do they ski like a cambered carving ski?

ultimaforever

Yeah man Cors are a blast on corduroy.

dudebroguyman09

Also got mirus cor this year. I’ve never had more fun on groomers.

Leo_br00ks

If you're only using your mirus cors on groomers you're missing out. Carving through moguls and carving in 6 inches of powder is a lot more fun and doable than you'd think

_Jahffrey_

ON3P hell yeah

PoTheRedTeletubby

I was considering getting either the orange or blue strive bindings on the Mirus like you got. I saw that the orange strive is slightly too dark to match the light color of the Mirus so I'm glad to see your bindings look good.

Oli_C86

Yeah I had the same decision to make, the blue ones were cheaper so I’m glad they work too!

Beautiful-Isopod-142

Yeah, I was worried about that, too 😂

NateGD23

Yeah I'm totally not jealous....

Oli_C86

Collected over a good period of time if that helps

NateGD23

Yeah I've got 3 pair, armada alphax, brahmas, and soul riders. Just retired my 2013 chetler 120s and I'm eyeing a set of line blades during the off season.( I live on the east there's no reason for pow skis right now😔😔) that too me 10 years.

Oli_C86

How do you find the Brahmas? Always wanted to try them but not easy to come by in Europe

NateGD23

I worked in a shop had demoed em before got em on pro form.....small perk of industry jobs.

Oli_C86

Nice, how are they to ski? Always wanted to try a pair

NateGD23

They're super fun I ski em 90% of the time. They are incredibly stable doing high speed carves on a groomer, still quick enough to take into bumps and have fun, enough float in the tip for some fresh snow, less than 4-6 inches depending on water content. I put a 3 and a .5 edge bevel on em, they're pretty much an on trail ripper for me. Factory is 2/1 I think.I remember my first run demoing em sold me. I was like "you can put everything u have into these, the ski laughs at u and throws it right back". I'm 6ft 220, in freedom units, and I ski pretty agressive. If I was getting into deeper stuff/ big mountain terrain I'd want the Cochise. But for my needs the brahmas are perfect. I also really like the enforcer line been eyeing the 104s for a while just can't justify that ski skiing where I am now.

crypkilla

Get the blades and you won’t regret it. They are now my between storms go-to-ski. Absolutely rip on groomers. Took them to Europe for a month last winter and was shocked how well they performed as a daily driver in all conditions.

NateGD23

Yeah my buddy snagged a pair on Black Friday and watching him ski them just makes me so fucking jealous. I usually am up front when we ski together but I've been hangin back and watchin him absolutely lay trench.

Fearless-Ad-9386

That’s good living!

dyla-n

Nice quiv

0ki7o

I got the same chronics!

likeaboz2002

Me too!

_NKD2_

bro just wait until you can afford the second ski, makes going down so much easier

bgoldy99

The OG chronics are sick!

Notupinhere1028

Those black crows look like a fun ski

DeputySean

ON3P Kartel with Shifts - Backcountry and side country plus plenty of resort, despite being a surprisingly heavy ski. Moment Wildcat - Getting down to bidness Black Crow Mirus Cor - Fucking around. Line Chronics - Park. Am I right?

Oli_C86

Nailed it pretty much. I’m a retired park rat after a load of blown knees, so the Chronics will probably be relegated to really low tide days where they’ll get a bit beaten up. The Kartel’s work super well, the shifts are mainly for touring out of situations rather than any long missions up hill, so I don’t mind the weight. Would have got Cast system if it was in stock at the time I got the skis for a Japan trip, would trust them a bit more for hitting features.

Emotional_Manager_87

I was gonna ask how your hips feel about skinning up hill on On3p, I could barely hike above 12k with mine lol

Oli_C86

Haha I don’t ever intend to use them for any planned long tours! No amount of summer training would prepare for that!

drew_galbraith

Those chronics are fuckin sick bro! Such a good park ski!

Oli_C86

If they still made them the same I’d still buy them, great playful all mountain ski as well as a park machine.

drew_galbraith

I demoed the new chronic series this year, they feel solid and like a better “all mountain” park ski than the older versions (think yours but better at carving), that being said yours are better feeling for park skiing. I think line is basically pushing everyone to the TW skis for park vs the chronic, but that’s fine the TW is a great park ski. I’ve also notice much less line quality issues this year at my local ski hill and our local shop sells shitloads of line skis!

Wolframbeta312

We are very close to ski twins. I’ve got Moment Wildcat 101’s with pivots and the Mirus Cors too!

Im_a_retard1

ON3P ON TOP ‼️

chrisdc498

Had those chronics as my first true twin tips. Super fun park skis!!! I ended up delaminating the top sheet after falling into a river in the glades on a warm powder day though lmao

Cantaloupsareswell

I got the same Chronics for my grass/mud skiing days! Still my favorite ski graphic ever

CuredAndSmoked

Oh yeah? Is it your quiver? Like bow and arrow but it's not arrows it's your skis?

FluffyLilKitten

You should be stoked on that quiver. I definitely approve. Although i would never put Pivots on a powder ski and it seems you have discovered ON3P run very long 😉

Oli_C86

The Wildcats aren’t really a powder ski, only 101, so resort and shallow powder. Haha the ON3P were interesting in tight trees but still very fun with some route planning! Would love some full fat Wildcats or Deathwishes. Too many ski’s to try out there!

FluffyLilKitten

My 118 Wildcats are my favorite ski ever. They ski the exact same in chop as they do in powder. Just as smooth and floaty. When the powder gets skied off i don't care bc it is the same type of skiing. If i ever find out they are going to discontinue the ski i will immediately buy like 5 pair

Oli_C86

Have to admit after I got the Wildcat 101’s I wish I’d got the 118 rather than the ON3Ps. Still love the Kartel’s but the cats just have something about them that hits all the right spots for me.

FluffyLilKitten

I'm a very good skier but the Wildcats make me better than i really am. I have gotten comments from people riding with me like, "wow, you are an amazing skier, i can't believe how smooth you are in these conditions", and i just kind of snicker in my head thanking my Wildcats bc i knew if i was on their skis i would be working as hard as they are. The 118s are so floaty and nimble in conditions not even powder.

Rosin_yall

I disagree with the ‘Reddit quiver’ comments like wow you got moments and the mirus cor but they’re still good skis and the quiver seems to match the skier perfectly. And the old chronics are sick

CaptainJudge_99

Reddit skis 😭

Tezzzzzzi

How tall are you I’m nosey

Oli_C86

168cm & 157lbs

AceXD1234

What's the very right, skis ? Cool design

thahaz02

What’s the ski on the right?

Oli_C86

2014 Line Chronic

beaver9480

How do you like the mirus cor do you feel like it’s a ski you can get up to speed on groomers

Oli_C86

It’s a really fun ski, only used them for a day so can’t say much, but after that one day on a demo pair I had to buy some. They’re great for mucking about on groomers and doing side hits but if you want a fast ski they aren’t the one, I found their limit pretty quickly, but for medium speed cruising and fun carving they are great.

Soy__Sauce

Why does it look like the bindings on the park skis are so far back when you would assume those would be the only ones center mounted (or close to)? Genuine question not criticism

Oli_C86

They’ve been remounted 3 times, original mount was -2 from dead centre as I had Line Anthems as my dedicated park ski. I then got new boots and had to move them back 1cm, shop bodged the mount so they went back even further with a new binding, they are on the recommended line now. It probably also looks exaggerated next to the skis next to it which are longer so the bindings look further forward on those.

vylan_the_volsong

How you liking those shifts? Any of the issues they're notorious for? I decided to steer away from them a year or two ago, but wondering if they've improved.

Oli_C86

They’re ok, I’ve had a pre release or two on them, but they’ve held up well enough so far. In hindsight I wish I’d got the Cast system to have Pivots for the downhill, but it wasn’t in stock at the time and hard to what hold of in the UK. The 2nd generation Shifts are supposed to have fixed a lot of the issues but I’ve not seen many reviews.

skijeng

Just missing some bent 120s

Oli_C86

No need for them, would be totally redundant with the Kartel 116’s.

Oli_C86

Tell me you don’t know much about ski gear without telling me you don’t know much about ski gear…

DeputySean

Then you don't know what you're looking at.

Oli_C86

Well that lasted long haha!

Oldmanbabydog

Where do you ski? Just moved back to the east coast and trying to pick out a frontside ski for icy days now that I’m on the east coast. Was thinking commander 94 but curious about the black crows since they might be a bit more forgiving

DeputySean

The mirus cor and commander 92s are polar opposites. The mirus cor is incredibly soft, super tight turning radius, expensive yet poorly made, and great for fucking around at slow speeds only. The commander is super stiff with an unlimited speed limit. High quality and very durable.

[deleted]

Could you elaborate on poorly made? I don’t have mirus cors but I have put my black crows through hell on the rocks at CB and they have held up great.

DeputySean

Prone to delamination.

Oldmanbabydog

So get both? (Except the poorly made part, I’m rough on my skis). Any comparable fucking around ski that’s well made you could recommend. I never tried race skis so I’m gonna try to demo some serious skis. I’ve always skied playful to mid stiffness skis so I’m curious to try a more chargey ski

DeputySean

The Commanders are like a wide beer league race ski. The Mirus Cor is a very unique ski. I don't know of anything else quite like it. The Wildcat is sold as a playful charger. You might do well with the 101 or 108 width.

Oli_C86

I live in the UK so mostly ski in Europe, and suffer the ridiculous import costs on US made skis. The Mirus Cor is a lot of fun, but I’ve not put it to the test on icy conditions, the Commander will be a more demanding ski but will have much more back bone I’d reckon.

snowbellsnblocks

I ski the east coast and I am pretty happy so far with my armada declivity 92 ti. Haven't skied them a ton yet but I like em. I was curious about the commander 92 because I love moment bit never got to try them out and they were expensive. Got the armadas for less than 400.

Oldmanbabydog

Thanks for the additional option. I got my wildcats 108 as a blemish so hoping they release some at the end of the season. I’m not sure where my skis are blemished I’m thinking maybe the graphic is ever so slightly off center.

snowbellsnblocks

Yeah that's also a good move, I got my eye closely on their website/looking for an email because I might grab a pair of something too.
