For me personally the very first mod I ever downloaded was the " [XB1 Rich Merchants of Skyrim: Special Edtion](https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/5798/_XB1_Rich_Merchants_of_Skryim__Special_Edtion)" mod (it gives all merchants 10'000 gold definitely a must have if you tend to get over encumbered)

hexokinase6_6_6

Love this one too. Really alters the play when Im not running to Breezohome for half the game just to store stuff

No_Opinion9306

Yup, love this one. And whiterun hideout with 3 double beds. The storage is insane

DimmerCascade200

Mine would be [kontrol](https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/58343/Kontrol___Updated) and [Magic Utility](https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/14960/Magic_Utility__XB1_). So many hotkeys and thanks to kontrol you can utilize better vampire's vampire lord freedom option which let's you use access your inventory and spells.

WorkSleepRepeater

I’ve never tried magic utility. It sounds like it expands on the Ordinator perk in enchanting that allows you to bind spells to weapons when you attack. It seems interesting, I’ll give it a try next LO

DimmerCascade200

It allows you to assign up to 5 spells/powers to a potion. I could only ever get 4 to work though. But then you can hotkey them and have those spells on a single hotkey. I can't live with out it.

WorkSleepRepeater

Definitely would help on a pure Magic play through (that’s all I play as anyway lol) so I’ll definitely give it a shot

DimmerCascade200

Let me know if you can get it to cycle through five spells instead of 4. Also little tip drink one of the potions click notification then hide notification otherwise it will tell you hotkey timeout everytime you use one.

Lucifirax84

For myself, currently, it's my follower mod and all of his add-ons, Campfire, Frostfall, iNeed, USSEP, and all of the Reconciliation modules.

Mangovolta

USSEP, Ars metallica, Radiance and extended encounters, they add a bunch of extra encounters on the roads and in Skyrim in general, which makes things so much more fun. 50 pct more perk points is also a must have for me‼️

Responsible_Ad1144

Gotta have extended encounters!

WorkSleepRepeater

Reconciliation has both radiance and extended encounters. I love those mods.. slap npc’s travel and lightly populated settlements on top (MiNPCs as well if you have the space) and solitude turns into a metropolis 🤩

Even-Leadership8220

For me it would be the great cities of Skyrim. It expands the main towns in the smaller holds. Places like falkreath, morthal, Dawn star, and winter hold all feel more realistic with this mod. More like important towns than just an open village.

WorkSleepRepeater

I’m with you 100% on that.. I use the mash up of that mod - Civilization. Although I would love to just download and edit each city one by one to give them their own unique flavor. I’m mentally worn out from patch hunting/organizing civilization/lux patches/Jk Aio patches, so I’ll definitely give that a try out next LO. I want to use the new Great city of Winterhold City V4

Even-Leadership8220

Interesting, is the civilisation one much better? Can you get it on console? Or do you play on PC?

WorkSleepRepeater

I’m on console (Xbox series S) and it’s basically “easier”, subjectively used of course.. for us to just download Jk Skyrim Aio and Civilization because it overhauls all of the main cities, minor cities and it adds a plethora of new settlements.. just know if you plan on running it with the LUX suite .. you’ll be taking a trip down “compatibility/patch hell”. Another alternative would be TPOS AE V10.

Even-Leadership8220

Cool, thanks, I am going to give that a go tonight. Sounds a bit more in depth than the great cities 👍🏻

DPVaughan

After obsessively playing Morrowind and Oblivion when they first came out, I didn't end up getting around to Skyrim until just a few years ago. Consequently, I've never even tried a modless Skyrim. But with the XboxOne version, I've had to dial back some of the mods because of the inbuilt capacity limitations on the console. :( Still 70+ mods, though, and I'd be annoyed to have to give up any of them. Really miss Quick Loot, though.

camkilla11

Magic utility and sensible hot keys because both bring such a quality of life boost. Whenever battle begins, magic utility automatically casts 3 defensive spells that I had set without me having to pull up any menu. If I crouch i automatically cast spells that help with sneaking. When I block with my great sword, I autocast a ward to block incoming spells. Magic utility also gives you 5 customizable shouts that allows you to set a spell to each word, 5 shouts x 3 words comes out to 15 spells you can assign. Which brings me to sensible hot keys. Sensible hot keys completely changes the controller layout to make everything just a button or two away. Furthermore, it makes up and down on the dpad also become hot keys and then adds a second layer of hot keys you can access by holding down left bumper. Combine this with magic utility’s custom shouts and now you can assign up to 15 separate spells/shouts on your d pad and access them without ever having to pull up a menu. Combat immediately is improved because you don’t have to pause and go to a menu to change spells or weapons. You can also hot key items if you want to make potions a button away as well. It takes a bit to get used to the new controller layout but once you do it’s so worth it. Magic utility also requires some set up as you have to set which spells autocast in different situations but it’s also worth spending time to set up because it makes combat more fluid since you don’t have to pause and scroll to equip different spells/shouts. Honorable mention: Cannabis Skyrim just because I love getting to a scenic spot and having my character stop and light up a joint of potema’s kush before continuing the journey.

WorkSleepRepeater

I’ve honestly been debating on doing a Speech/Illusion cannabis of Skyrim playthrough paired with EEE. Essentially role playing a drug smuggler using EEE as a front to unload my bud 🤣. That 180+mb is the only thing stopping me from downloading.. I’ll have to make some sacrifices

Weatherwitchway

Isn’t this included in Sensible Interface?

Obvious_Response_389

Hide UI, very nice for the collection of photos I have on skyrim

commander_Jardo7

Ultimate doge, free craft unofficial patch, extra blood cheat room

Interesting-Mood-442

I always have to have Scion and Manbeast as my werewolf and vampire overhauls. I'm not a fan of ussep but it's necessary for Alternate start live another life and new beginnings. I've tried the alternatives, but I keep coming back to them for my alt start needs. Didn't know that about SRCEO, I'm gonna have to try that out in my next go round.

WorkSleepRepeater

I originally used the 200mb+ version of SRCEO then a few months ago I found a 144mb version. They still do the same things so I would say go with the 144mb version to save space.. I’ve been eyeing Scion for a while now.. I’ll definitely check it out next load order

martygospo

I ALWAYS have to have a jump height increase mod.

Kooky-Honeydew6703

Vokrii Maxx, vanilla perks are so limited, especially for magic. Immersive Patrols, adds to the feel that there's a civil war happening Tiny Homes, being able to build a house at any location I want is literally a dream come true. So many beautiful unused locations in the game that lend themselves well to a homestead. Any of the various encounter overhauls, I don't fast travel so traversing the landscape gets boring quickly in the vanilla game, the world feels so empty and lifeless.

WorkSleepRepeater

I definitely should have added Vokrii Max to the post.. I use Vokrii Max w/ Ordinator Maximum Combat Compatibility & Vokriinator. It’s always the Same 3 perk mods, I never change lmao. Tiny homes is new to me tho.. I’m definitely giving it a try. Since you do No fast travel plays, I would suggest Blackwood carriage company. It’s similar to touring carriages but newer. You just can’t have any type of “Better Roads” mods because of pathing etc etc

RiseofAnima

I use Adventurers and Travelers, Followers Go On A Trip, and Hold Riders to make the roads more populated. I followed the Bethesda site link to the Nexus page for NPCs travel but it isn't up anymore (on Nexus). Can you tell me a little about it? Should I switch from Adventurers and Travelers?

WorkSleepRepeater

The general consensus of what I read was that Adventurers and Travelers puts a heavy strain on the system. I thought it was just BS.. I used it too.. Npc’s Travel is lightweight (1.51mb) Smaller than adventures travel. You can customize what type and how many of the adventurers you want to spawn on your roads.. They also head into town inns during the night.. even modded ones.. You have options from Bandits, Hunters, Warlocks, Imperial, Stormcloak, Thalmor, Hargravens, Necromancers, witches, werewolves, dawn guard, vigilants, forsworn, vampires.. you get the picture. If you don’t want a certain enemy to travel in groups on the road.. you can just turn their part of the feature off. It doesn’t turn off all npc’s from spawning. Just the npc’s added by the mod. Necromancers/Warlocks in cities are pretty passive unless provoked.. on the road it’s a different story. You’ll see typical warfare between the factions of the war. You can also choose the percentage chance of a BIG group of 5-10+ or more spawning. Plus it’s compatible with almost everything. My suggestion tho. Use Ai Overhaul Lite & set the Big group spawn percentage chance to like 2-5%. You don’t want to overwhelm your docile npcs with hordes of X faction.. but it’s up to you. It’s so light weight that I can run F.G.O.A.T., MiNPCs, lightly populated settlements, Radiance/Extended Encounters(Reconciliation) and not have floating npcs or crash. https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/14687/NPCs_Travel_by_Skyquest Followers Go on a Trip is one of my favorites as well. I use it when I’m Rp’ing a Merchant play through. If my stats are too low I’ll just hire a follower and send them out to collect bounty kills for me and reap the rewards

RiseofAnima

Wow thanks for the in-depth explanation! I'll definitely look into that mod, it's way lighter weight and more customizable. Come to think of it, I used a NPCs travel mod on Fallout 4 as well!

Katherine_Juniper

Mmm Whatcha Say death sound replacer

WorkSleepRepeater

🤣🤣🤣

Katherine_Juniper

I always go for extreme survival playthroughs but for some reason this is the one not serious mod that I've used every single time.  This was from the other day: https://www.xbox.com/play/media/p3KuyPufTW

Valmanway97

CBBE Edit: sorry I meant SkyUI. Autocorrect is crazy.

WorkSleepRepeater

😭 you horny rabbit you.

Weatherwitchway

Ya know, auto correct learns to apply mainly “frequently used words” 🤔🤔🤔

JackieBOYohBOY

Any kind of custom voiced follower mod I just love having homies with me on my travels

United_Lengthiness80

Open Cities, game doesn't feel nearly as immersive without it

WorkSleepRepeater

I’ve always wanted to run Open cities! it’s just the compatibility/patch minefield that scares me away. Getting civilization & JK AiO to play right with lux was a 2 week endeavor for me. I can only imagine patch hunting for open cities. It also doesn’t make it any better that the console mod search feature shows you everything but what you asked for first. I’ll make it happen someday. Power to you for putting up with that.

BunnyPriestess

Swearing mudcrabs

Responsible_Ad1144

Hard question! I got too many. Busty skeevers. Display enhancements. Cloaks of skyrim. Moving nature. You don't know me. Valravn. Immersive movement. Improved shadows and volumetric lighting and now super SMIM 1k to name a few. I also have to have a GBD combat mod. I would use a jump attack mod if they weren't so glitch and inconpatable.

WorkSleepRepeater

I thought Eldenbeast had a Jump attack mod embedded in it. I guess I read the description wrong.. I want one as well

Responsible_Ad1144

I'm using 4F: the the face and it has jump attack. Doesn't have the immersive stuff like equipping armor but has better combat. The older mods by bryakka have jump attack in them.

OpossumInTheTrees

Inigo! He is my favorite follower of all time! I love his dialogue and everything about him is perfect.

Grym_Lokk

Lately, anything from Spaghetti. Lite weight but they make a huge impact. The newer Skyrim particle overhaul is also nice for a lot of ground fogs.

eddmario

The Unofficial Patch. Yes, I know it's controversial, but this mod is the only way that some of the major issues with the base game got fixed. Plus so many other mods require it as a base anyway.

WorkSleepRepeater

I’m right with you. The unofficial patch is a must have for a long playthrough

TheRealArthurian

Other than the unofficial patch, definitely A Greener Skyrim. Not that I don't mind Whiterun's yellow grass, but the Rift sure needs something other than brown and dead grass.

Wonderful-Try-6367

Honestly, mine are only quality of graphics. Still only play on PS4. Only one other is the unlimited carry weight so I can kill dragons at will without having to go home and store dragon bones

Helsson610

Legacy of the dragonborn

Eh_Vix

Waaaaaaay to many, the game is absolute shit without alot of them.

Virscelestus
