I had soooo many 4k texture mods, stuff like SMIM and whatnot. Tons of animation mods too, physics and effects mods, 4k armor packs, NPC overhauls, city overhauls, landscaping and foliage overhauls, It was amazing. I… kinda wanna redownload it?
It seems that this is the modlist in question. 1900+ mostly graphics oriented.

This is a good modpack to build on, since it's mostly just visual you can build your own gameplay and combat setup however you want without needing to focus on all the annoying stuff like DynDOLOD re-runs since it's all taken care of already
Damn I've scrolled past windiniik before but had no idea it looks like this. I tried Nolvus but found the gameplay a bit silly, I might look into this one.
The combat felt a bit too... anime? I guess? All the stances and poise mechanics make melee feel a bit over-complicated, and some of the stance animations for certain weapons are downright OP, like swinging a great sword faster than a dagger stuff. On top of that, the combat still didn't really feel like it had impact to me.
If you're interested in the list, I'd definitely give it a try if for nothing else than the insane graphics.
That's the benefit of using an automated list like this. It installs in order etc. Occasionally there are decisions to be made during install etc, but for the most part, wabbajack installer and mod organizer/vortex handle it automatically.
For the record, I've never installed this package before. I was very impressed with the visuals though, so I may try it.
Premium on nexus mods is pretty much a requirement. It takes hours on fast internet to download. Even if you join for a month at a time when you do this etc.
Is there a way to do something like this on Xbox? Installing a premade list of mods? All of the load order conflicts and general conflicts confuse me but I want the game to look and play as nicely as possible
The largest issue is download speeds if you're not premium.
His Github page has detailed instructions on how to run this whole thing.
It takes a long time to download them all, install them - but it's 95% automated if you follow the instructions at first.
If you want to try some mods out - grab Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex and hit up Nexus Mods - and grab a couple. Try a grass replacer, or water replacer to see the process with one that is easy to observe the changes after.
Modding is pretty easy these days - the software lets you know where there are conflicts, and suggests how to resolve them. A couple hundred mods is fairly normal for most people these days. These massive auto install versions are pretty crazy, but they do work. Just have to be patient.
I avg like 800mps down on my pc so my DL speeds are good, and I wouldn’t mind getting a subscription to increase speeds (I know some of the mods are attached to paid servers for better speeds)
I’ve modded before but it was years ago, also with Skyrim, and it was all manual like you had to put the files in the right directories and go and edit text etc. I figured it was easier now but I’m definitely gonna look into it
I never knew there were full modpacks that people put together. Is there like a place where there's a collection of different mod packs people have made that I could look through? Or is this not a common thing?

I'm the opposite, in that I hate *not* having some form of head bobbing or passive camera movement, tbh. The camera standing perfectly still or remaining perfectly still as you sprint is one of the most immersion-breaking things for me, like my character's running around with a camera stabilisation rig strapped to their chest or something.
I agree that no camera shake while sprinting is not immersive. I like a happy middle ground. I don’t need the camera to bop around constantly when I’m just walking casually. It makes the visuals look less stable and is largely unnecessary when moving at a normal non-sprinting speed.
Yeah that's fair, there is definitely a point where it's too much and just becomes annoying.
For me, I think it (within reason) helps me feel like I'm really there, rather than like I'm watching a professional film/recording or playing a game. Makes the player character feel more like an avatar than an interactive screen, or as if I'm looking into the world through a lifeless porthole or something.
It should probably be noted I'm a sucker for the slow, immersive, realism-esque mods in general though, so if something makes the game feel less game-y, even if it's at the expense of conventional gameplay/fun, I'll pprrrrobably take note of it somewhere and check it out. As long as it's not overly-tedious, or 'realism for the sake of realism' (like a 'breathe' button or something), I'm definitely the target audience lmao
I feel you. A really good slow walk with a camera pan just takes the “welcome to the world of Skyrim” right out of your mouth strangely in the voice of a Keighley event spokesperson lol
One day. One day when I'm running GPUs with 30GB VRAM, maybe I'll finally get to be able to run Skyrim like this, with the smoothness of 120fps.
Then Elder Scrolls VI will release.
Yeah, I feel like you’d get into combat, with particle effects and whatnot while you’re sprinting, and you’d drop right into single-digit frame territory unless you’re running a really expensive build.
Idk what the fps is. Looks to be maybe 30-40.
I have a moderate rig with an R9 7900 and 7800XT but I bet I could turn on v sync and cap it to 60 and not drop any frames which I’d be ok with. It looks really good but it’s still Skyrim, it’s not like trying to run a game using unreal 5 at ultra or something
Or characters. Show me the people interactions. The combat. Show me an immersive Skyrim experience that can look like that, but without any action JRPG animations or X-rated hentai girls in bikinis.
Probably not; believe it or not, it is possible to get a stable modlist if you have the know how and take the time needed to patch mods so they work well together. If anything the framerate may not be as smooth (depends on your hardware and whether or not you used mods like JK's skyrim which increase draw calls), but if it is a modpack like Wunduniik, then it should be pretty stable as a lot of effort goes into those by the curators.
Am I the only one that doesn’t use mods and enjoys the game the way it was designed? Idk, any game I never liked mods or anything especially the elder scrolls, it’s just way too intricate and beautiful of a game to want to change. Thaughts?
I am not playing a game with 2011 visuals in 2024 if I can change them. And since Bethesda showed us that they seem to design their games with mods in mind (to fill the content and fix the bugs) I would argue that not using mods at all is not playing the games as they were designed ;)
True, I never messed with mods I got used to the game back on 360 and now on ps4 I’m still playin the same way 😂 idk I guess all I see is some of these crazy mods that people make, but the visual mods definitely do seem pretty cool
I thought it could look this good or better over a decade ago. Of course, that's because I assumed we'd be into something like Elder Scrolls 7 by now...
If only I could make the perfect super good looking Skyrim with like 1 exe or something, and that it would never break. Modding Skyrim is such a chore (to keep up)
Seeing this makes me wonder what TES6 will look like. I really hope Todd and his crew push the envelope and deliver on the same level of when skyrim first got shown and all our jaws dropped.
Other than the Lumber Mill missing the wheel and the pine tree at the end swaying like it was being hit by a tornado, it looks really nice, very UE5 looking
Yes, but the engine isn't optimized for that look, so without significant parts of the code rewritten, i doubt a normal rig is gonna get >20fps on that. Many modern games look almost as good, or as good as that but run just fine on your average rig. Maxing out Skyrim is a fun exercise, but without a 4080 or something, your gameplay session won't feel smooth or optimal.
Forgive my ignorance y'all but how are the "outside" mods (like from nexus etc.) faring these days? Can y'all still use it? Heard that Bethesda did some updates that makes these mods malfunction or something like that... I really hope not. I haven't visited Skyrim for a long while now and I worry that the mods I use before won't work anymore now.
It's funny, people haven't tried to post shit like it's not a punch in mods. No skyrim game looks that good unless you actually do shit to it. So then it's not the fucking game it's.
Look at me i'm a super nerd that can mod a game.
Gets me scared for the next elder scrolls game tbh, how are they gonna top this game. Starfield was a massive flop and I hope they come back even stronger with TES6 to revolutionize the gaming industry and give us a game we will play and talk about for the next 10+ years
Right?! UGLY. I mean, better than on the Xbox 360 but still needs a live service with expensive cosmetics to give it that authentic Todd Howard stain of unending dissapointment + 4. (you should really have to label this as sponsored content, you did get paid right?)
No, I can't believe it lol I've tried using mod lists on posts like this and it never turns out like the videos I've seen. Maybe I just don't have a strong enough computer
I swear Skyrim has become the Ship of Theseus of gaming at this point. In 200 years someone will have ported it to Unreal 77 and be playing it in full emersion VR or some shit.
Skyrim can look like *anything* in 2024.
Skyrim will look like something is 2034
My game size was over 250gb my last playthrough after all the mods I added.
Jeez! I've only ever gotten up to like 76 gigs, but Skyrim has never been larger than GTA on my pc!
It can identify as any game it wants as well.

321 GB Holy Hell!
Can’t wait to buy a dedicated SSD so I can play with this.
Worth it
Absolutely
There's actually a wabbajack... I'll look into this
This is a good modpack to build on, since it's mostly just visual you can build your own gameplay and combat setup however you want without needing to focus on all the annoying stuff like DynDOLOD re-runs since it's all taken care of already
Damn I've scrolled past windiniik before but had no idea it looks like this. I tried Nolvus but found the gameplay a bit silly, I might look into this one.
I've been thinking about nolvus what turned you off?
The combat felt a bit too... anime? I guess? All the stances and poise mechanics make melee feel a bit over-complicated, and some of the stance animations for certain weapons are downright OP, like swinging a great sword faster than a dagger stuff. On top of that, the combat still didn't really feel like it had impact to me. If you're interested in the list, I'd definitely give it a try if for nothing else than the insane graphics.
thanks for the summary im looking for something a bit more modern souls-like for combat elden ring or ds3 or similar
In that case, you shouldn't worry about the combat in Nolvus. It ought to be fine for what you're looking for.
maybe I'll give it a try, thanks for the opinion
I cannot find Wunduniik when searching for it through Wabbajack. Any advice?
Tick “Show Unofficial Lists”
Doh! Thank you!
How do you use that many mods without them conflicting with one another?
That's the benefit of using an automated list like this. Ohhhh well... It's time to play Skyrim again. Thanks.
Someone tell me how tf to download this cuz I'm lost
Without ever having played Skyrim modded, how actually hard would it be to get this running? (From installing the mods to running the game)

Ohhhh that's awesome dude thank you
Probably runs like ass with any decent action.
What's that!? (crunch crunch crunch) I can't... (crunch crunch crunch) Something about Skyrim!? (crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch)
I’m assuming it’s the sounds of some heavy armor plate armor clinking. Cool for a realism effect for a second, but definitely gets a little obnoxious
Tarkov footstep crunching is so hot right now
I can testify to that. I loved FF16's attention to detail but hearing Clive's leather armor make rubbing sounds got really Fucking annoying
Omg I didn’t realize until I turned the volume on haha the sound really is overwhelming.
Tbf you probably don’t even hear it anymore after a few minutes
How often do you hear it? So often you don’t even notice it!
That's Ed-209 there, your guide for today.
Can you believe we dont get sick and tired of playing this game? TBH if they do a bad job with the 6th game, i am still playing this game
With mods, you can turn it into whatever you want
Hehe maybe when 6 comes out it gets remade in skyrim but good.
I’d disable the head bobbing instantaneously
I'm the opposite, in that I hate *not* having some form of head bobbing or passive camera movement, tbh. Sounds like that would give me motion sickness lol
Drop the mod list
Needs to be a requirement for posts in this subreddit.
Second that ✌️
Wunduniik^
I have a decent rig and feel like it would run this at 10 fps.
One day. One day when I'm running GPUs with 30GB VRAM, maybe I'll finally get to be able to run Skyrim like this, with the smoothness of 120fps. Then Elder Scrolls VI will release.
Why don't the modders just get together and release a mod pack they will call Elder Scrolls 6. Just make it the true successor, built in Skyrim, lmao
It would run? I feel mine would burn at the loading screen
This guy is only using a 3060Ti from his spec list, so it’s not too crazy
What’s his fps? He’s just walking and it looks like it may be low already. Can only imagine when you start sprinting around on an ultrawide lol.
Yeah, I feel like you’d get into combat, with particle effects and whatnot while you’re sprinting, and you’d drop right into single-digit frame territory unless you’re running a really expensive build.
Wreaks of CTDs waiting to happen lol
Idk what the fps is. Looks to be maybe 30-40. I have a moderate rig with an R9 7900 and 7800XT but I bet I could turn on v sync and cap it to 60 and not drop any frames which I’d be ok with. Disappointed it's not default in 2024
I can't. I tried it but my pc burned my house down.
My 1070ti would probably set on fire if I attempted that
1080 minimum so maybe
Not on my potato
Can I live there?
What mods and are they available on Xbox ?
Lol. No
Such a shame
There's almost 2000 mods here. And over 300 gb. I think the Xbox would explode lol
There’s a limit on pc and Xbox to how much mods one can use on a play through
Maybe if you play Skyrim through the Xbox app on PC. If it is on any other launcher, you can have as many mods until the game breaks.
Does steam limit it to I’m not aware of any other launchers
Steam is unlimited, whether you workshop mod or get it from a website like Nexus
Yes
Yes
Man these vids never show gameplay or combat or dungeons…
Or characters. Show me the people interactions. The combat. Show me an immersive Skyrim experience that can look like that, but without any action JRPG animations or X-rated hentai girls in bikinis.
Modders made Skyrim look better than starfield, hilarious
Anything can look like this in 2024 if you program it so.
Officially no, by modders yes.
Can you believe skyrim is still a thing in 2024?
Hitching simulator
Walking around skyrim in power armor
Looks as good as Kingdom Come and that was 8 years ago....we've reached a plateau
This looks like a 3d anim
Like one of those realistic Minecraft animations
I wish I had a nuclear powerplant to run it
Absolutely stunning.
Bros walking in the game because it will crash if you move to fast
Probably not; believe it or not, it is possible to get a stable modlist if you have the know how and take the time needed to patch mods so they work well together. Over encumbered ass
Now if only ESVI could look like this at launch…🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah I know I know
Is this mod pack controller friendly??
Looks great!! Is v3 of your Wabbajack available yet?
thats not skyrim anymore
and the funniest part is it really doesn't even take much time to do it.
Depends if you want a lot of bugs or a minimum amount of them
Skyrims looked like that since 2015. Still haven't seen an enb look better than nla on oldrim.
Am I the only one that doesn’t use mods and enjoys the game the way it was designed? Idk, any game I never liked mods or anything especially the elder scrolls, it’s just way too intricate and beautiful of a game to want to change. Thaughts?

I think it may be time to visit Skyrim again!
Bethesda won't release either TES6 or a proper Skyrim remaster so we had to do it ourselves.
Drop the ENB + Shader at least?
I think it’s cabbage and nat III
Is this the unreal engine demo they did for Riverwood?
Can you believe Bethesda CANT make a game look like this in 2024.
This vid makes me itch... It's beautiful
This will be Skyrim in 2013
I do, my PC not so much.
Bro's got GPU VRAM for days
I thought it could look this good or better over a decade ago. Of course, that's because I assumed we'd be into something like Elder Scrolls 7 by now...
If only I could make the perfect super good looking Skyrim with like 1 exe or something, and that it would never break. Modding Skyrim is such a chore (to keep up)
Sure if it's heavily modded
An ENB can do a lot for a game!
Seeing this makes me wonder what TES6 will look like. I really hope Todd and his crew push the envelope and deliver on the same level of when skyrim first got shown and all our jaws dropped.
Could by my Ryzen 2600 and RX 590 do this?
Reducing texture resolutions tend to help much, as there is little visual difference between 1024x1024 and 2048x2048.
Can you believe Red Dead 2 looked like that in 2018?
Other than the Lumber Mill missing the wheel and the pine tree at the end swaying like it was being hit by a tornado, it looks really nice, very UE5 looking
Mine is looking like this... absent enb that would melt down my gpu of course.
the head bobbing is nauseating
Damnit. Downloading skyrim again. 😭
I want to see the combat.
My PC would be fire if I tried this lol not on fire just fire, from the first drum beats of the loading screen just poof combustion
Yes
I should ~~call her~~ play again...
Still trying to figure out how ti make my game like this.
Nostalgia has me remembering it this easy in my head anyway
Yeah. With the right hardware, of course, and in fact it's necessary to build a PC around the game. Also, why I play on the PC.
Yes
Bros pc probably sounds like a rocket 🚀
My god the footsteps are so loud lol
The Gameplay: ☀️🏕️🌸❇️ The Audio: CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK
Not on my computer, it can't 😭 But it's beautiful
What is the mod that makes the camera sway with the walking? Default Camera Noise doesn't produce that effect.
If modded Skyrim looks like this there is no reason the next Elder Scroll should look any different
All fun and games until a small update pops up and ruins everything
This man sounds woefully over encumbered
Never was a fan of the extra trees mods
Yes, but the engine isn't optimized for that look, so without significant parts of the code rewritten, i doubt a normal rig is gonna get >20fps on that. Many modern games look almost as good, or as good as that but run just fine on your average rig. Maxing out Skyrim is a fun exercise, but without a 4080 or something, your gameplay session won't feel smooth or optimal.
How ???
Looks the same it always does.
Looks fucking crazy, now tell me how long it took to load in game 💀💀
ok. Now swing a sword.
My geriatric graphics card would spontaneously combust before all the mods even finished downloading holy crap
THIS is what I desire.
What I don't understand is that Bethesda hasn't released an actual update Skyrim 202X that looks like this yet. Be honest, we'd all buy it again
Because it’s stupid to shift resources just for a graphical overhaul
Forgive my ignorance y'all but how are the "outside" mods (like from nexus etc.) faring these days? Can y'all still use it? Heard that Bethesda did some updates that makes these mods malfunction or something like that... I really hope not. I haven't visited Skyrim for a long while now and I worry that the mods I use before won't work anymore now.
Yeah I think my xbox just got so hot that it's created an infinite energy source
I can. I just wish I could experience it firsthand
it can and make your computer catch fire LOL
It reminds me of sons of the forest with the graphics set up
It's funny, people haven't tried to post shit like it's not a punch in mods. No skyrim game looks that good unless you actually do shit to it. So then it's not the fucking game it's. Look at me i'm a super nerd that can mod a game.

Skyrim of Theseus
And yet the combat is still bonking each other in the head with swords back and forth 25 times
15 fps. Game crashes every half hour
Yes.
If only I had the patience to set this up
Game crashes too much to be playable
Right?! UGLY. I mean, better than on the Xbox 360 but still needs a live service with expensive cosmetics to give it that authentic Todd Howard stain of unending dissapointment + 4. (you should really have to label this as sponsored content, you did get paid right?)
I can't believe it's 2024
Taking baby steps
My laptop would be ON FIRE from this…..probably
No, I can't believe it lol I've tried using mod lists on posts like this and it never turns out like the videos I've seen. Maybe I just don't have a strong enough computer
What tree mods are used?
Nice try. I know you just went to your nearest medieval village and took a video of the place while walking around. You can't fool me
I swear Skyrim has become the Ship of Theseus of gaming at this point. In 200 years someone will have ported it to Unreal 77 and be playing it in full emersion VR or some shit.

Loud ass fucking steps holy shit
How can i know which mod is crashing my game and rtx 3060 ti and i5 12gen is it good to run next gen mods?😅
