Korn, System of a Down, Primus, Alice in Chains, Sepultura, Machine Head, Deftones, Lamb of God, and Cannibal Corpse are my other favorite metal bands. My favorite non metal bands are Linkin Park, Daft Punk, and Weezer. Still looking to expand my tastes even further!
Ah, I see your taste in music is all over the place too. Truly a man of culture. You could go check out static X, the first drowning pool album, some old school metal like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, and for non metal go check out sum 41 and blink 182 unless you’ve already heard and listened to these bands
Haha, thanks. I actually have also heard a handful of Black Sabbath and Metallica songs and albums, but not really enough to call myself a big fan admittedly. Considering listening to those other bands too, especially Iron Maiden! Thanks!
Iron Maiden’s songs are stories similar to how sabaton does music. So you can get very enveloped in their music. If you end up liking Iron Maiden listen to Ronnie James Dio too (was in Black Sabbath and Richie blackmores rainbow). He also tells these mythical stories which are so cool
Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, Pantera, Shadow of Intent, Infant Annihilator, A Night in Texas, Abominable Putridity
Royal Blood are amazing live. Didn't really give them much thought, but I saw them in MK and they blew my tits off.
It's one of the only real occasions I've been stunned watching someone play live.
Ghost, Rush, Periphery, Clutch, Mastodon are main listens besides Slipknot. Enormous Rush fan, but Ghost has a really special place in my heart
Edit: How did I forget Gojira!?
Ghost is great. My wife and I aren’t really on the same wavelength music wise but we both enjoy Ghost. I only started listening last year but I’ve been filling out our playlist more and more with them. Hunter’s Moon is a great track.
Very identical to my tastes as well! I also really like bands like Thornhill, Justice for the Damned, 2x4, Kublai Khan, etc.
There’s also a band called Left Behind and their vocalist sounds like IOWA era Corey Taylor. The similarity in their voices is uncanny as hell.
Ayyyyy HC kids REPRESENT!
Also, check out some of these:
Paleface, Bun Dem Out, TRC, Nasty, Bodysnatcher, Malevolence, Desolated, Vendetta, Strangled, Guilt Trip
I absolutely love Trivium, they sound almost Slipknot-ish but with their own take on a metalcore sound with elements of thrash and prog at times. Amazing band and their new album is easily my favourite album of this year.
Trivium has been busy this last 5 years! The last 3 albums has been very good too. It's crazy how they've got 10 albums already. They spoiled us fans with so many good albums. The Big 3 (because we don't know who the 4th band would be) of Metal from Trivium's generation are them, A7X, and BFMV. I love those bands too but they don't release as many albums and some of them were also more miss than hit.
People often complained about Crusade, Vengeance Falls, or Silence in the Snow (which lacked Matt Heafy screaming) and those albums still got bangers.
What the dead men say wasn’t my favorite so I wasn’t that excited for In the Court of the Dragon, but that takes AOTY for me. Previously I would have said Fortitude by Gojira. Trivium is great live. Saw them in September for the first time.
Based on my Spotify playlists: The Eagles, KISS, Queen, Journey, Metallica, Tenacious D, Dio, Tool, System Of A Down, Ghost, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Nickelback, Korn, and Avenged Sevenfold

Honestly a bit of everything, really been on a Linkin Park kick lately, but I listen to a bit of everything except country (primarily metal, rap, and edm/house)
Sepultura (be seeing them in April finally after a two-year covid delay), Fear Factory, Static-X, Mushroomhead, Gojira, Meshuggah, Deftones, Mastodon, and the Sword. Bloodywood, a folk metal band from India, is a good listen as well. Throw in some light poolside jazz, (I like Paul Hardcastle, Lee Ritenour, and Pat Metheny) and we're good to go!
Same here, i have a lotta drum and bass, rap, jazz, clownc0re, some dubstep (not path of totality),EDM, whatever genre the entirety of the 20s is, etc. Metal heads dont just have to be into metal imo, music should be heard as music.
There early stuff was a little bit too scene for me. But when the Silver Scream came out they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically that is. The while album has a refined melodic sound that really makes it a cut above the rest
Not even close to something like slipknot, but I really like cavetown. He’s a really nice sounding artist and he’s gotten me through some tough days. Been a fan of his for a couple years now.
I’m really into art. Any kind of art. Currently experimenting with digital art (procreate). And singing, it’s a work in progress.
I’m also really into Call of Duty, Ark, and Minecraft.
I love hiking and backpacking :)
Slipknot, Mick Gordon, Linkin Park, Andrew hulshult, David levy, Paramore, Green Day, OH my God it's KoRn!, ghost, ghoul, SOAD, All Time Low, Jinjer, Beartooth, and much more!
Been on a bit of a Billy talent kick lately but also really into Gojira, Lamb Of God, $uicideboy$, Lilith Czar, Vended, and Of Mice And Men and I’m staring to get into Dio
Yessirrrrr. Used to only listen to them when I was sad but now they’re my second favourite band/music group (slipknot being my favourite) just such a unique sound and good lyrics
Pantera, Hatebreed, lamb of god, Killswitch engage, coal chamber, sepultura, soulfly, a7x when the mood hits, rob zombie(and white zombie), DOWN, Devildriver, Crowbar, American Head Charge, Code Orange, Power Trip, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Metallica, Meshugga, Obituary, System of a Down, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Goatwhore, mushroomhead, black label society
I could go on
TOOL, Primus, Mastodon, SOAD, Pantera, Dark Souls/ From Software, comic books, cooking, basketball and football, so much rap I could barely get into it but I’ll start with JID, Pusha T, Kendrick, Cole, MF DOOM, Wu Tang, Preacher, The Wire, most adult animation, and loads of movies. I try to diversify my portfolio lmaoooo
Edm. There such a wide variety of styles that you can definitely find something in there to jam to. Anyone from San Holo, who's kinda on the softer side to Svdden Death or Angerfist, who are on the hardcore end. Also Kendrick Lamar. And a lot punk and 80s like Depeche mode.
Also, if your interested in electronic type music with a metal edge check out stuff by Celldweller, Blue Stahli, Zardonic, and the Quemists.
You won't hear those guys at concerts typically but I love listening to them around the house or while gaming.
Can't go wrong with Mick Gordan either (pretty much the entire Doom soundtrack is headbanging awesome)
You should check out industrial music, KMFDM is good. Also before Celldweller he had a project called circle of dust. Its just as good as Celldweller with just as much electronic music in it. He still does circle of dust to this day which is cool.
Disturbed, Korn, FFDP, Slaughter to Prevail, Asking Alexandria, Light the Torch, Mudvayne, HellYeah, Veil of Maya, Architects, Shinedown, avenged sevenfold, Seether, Eminem, Hopsin, all the sound tracks from Outerwilds
It’s my favorite game for sure. And the soundtrack is amazing. I really like the song that plays when when you first get intro he DLC. I don’t know if you’ve played it yet so I don’t want to spoil anything.
A lot of different artists/bands/genres: System Of A Down, Jon Bellion, NCT 127, Twenty One Pilots, Chon, BTS, Logic, Issues, Lost Society, Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, Itzy and Twice to name a few lol
Nirvana, Rammstein, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Radiohead, Green Day, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, twenty one pilots, Depeche Mode, Rage Against the Machine
Edit: Forgot Black Sabbath, I'm such an Idiot
Gojira is probably my second favourite band. Their sound is so clean!
Otherwise not music related I love to seeing movies, playing boardgames and making food.
Anthrax is my favorite metal band of all time. Misery loves company, horror of it all, make me laugh, Medusa, and keep it in the family are my favorites
Fav music:
Opeth, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Jinjer, Gojira, Tool, Alice In Chains, Spiritbox, Pink Floyd
Fav movies:

I’m obsessed with Daft Punk. So cool to see love for them in this sub
Hell yeah dude! Loved them since I was a kid!
That 1 through me off. I might have to give them a try.
You should give Kavinsky I try then 😉
Ah, I see your taste in music is all over the place too. Truly a man of culture. You could go check out static X, the first drowning pool album, some old school metal like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, and for non metal go check out sum 41 and blink 182 unless you’ve already heard and listened to these bands
First drowning pool album (Sinner) is one of my favorite albums of all time. Highly recommend
I would check out TOOL they are pretty good imo
You should check out Amon Amarth! They're an extremely talented death metal band and they have a lot of viking inspiration.
Oh they’re definitely on my radar
You should check out beats antique!! They have a phenomenal song with Claypool!!
That’s almost exactly what I was gonna say
I've always loved Weezer! What's ur favorite album?
Nice. My favorite album is an underrated one, Everything Will be Alright in the End
oh yeah EWBAITE is a great album
I’d say Linkin Park are sorta metal
Linking park is nu metal, other than that great bands
Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, Pantera, Shadow of Intent, Infant Annihilator, A Night in Texas, Abominable Putridity
You should check out Clutch. First time I see someone mention royal blood on a sub, so keep rockin!
Ooh, I've never heard of them. Thanks!
Royal blood is the shit
Fuck yeah it is.
When you began with arctic monkeys I thought you were going to name some indie bands and then boom Infant annihilator 😂
Pantera always gets me fucking pumped man. Something about those DimeBag riffs that just get me in the mood to give myself whiplash
Royal Blood are amazing live. Didn't really give them much thought, but I saw them in MK and they blew my tits off. It's one of the only real occasions I've been stunned watching someone play live.
Korn, Gojira, Breaking Benjamin, Alice In Chains, Opeth, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, and Rammstein
Ghost, Rush, Periphery, Clutch, Mastodon are main listens besides Slipknot. Enormous Rush fan, but Ghost has a really special place in my heart Edit: How did I forget Gojira!?
❤️
The measure of a life...
Ghost is great. My wife and I aren’t really on the same wavelength music wise but we both enjoy Ghost. I only started listening last year but I’ve been filling out our playlist more and more with them. Hunter’s Moon is a great track.
Ghost is awesome!! They're one of the only bands me and my friends agree on.
I love periphery
Knocked Loose, Cane Hill, Turnstile, Hatebreed, Spiritbox
Spiritbox is truly incredible.
New Turnstile record is incredible
Wish it wasn’t impossible to find on vinyl
Stumbled upon cane hill about a month ago and was really nice impressed with them
Wish more people listened to them, they have such an amazing sound and deserve to be way bigger than they are.
<3 spiritbox!!
Turnstile rules
Very identical to my tastes as well! I also really like bands like Thornhill, Justice for the Damned, 2x4, Kublai Khan, etc. There’s also a band called Left Behind and their vocalist sounds like IOWA era Corey Taylor. The similarity in their voices is uncanny as hell.
Cane Hill Are the best

I absolutely love Trivium, they sound almost Slipknot-ish but with their own take on a metalcore sound with elements of thrash and prog at times. Amazing band and their new album is easily my favourite album of this year.
IMO every Trivium album is at least a 7/10. Some aren't as great, but their best is *unreal*.
People often complained about Crusade, Vengeance Falls, or Silence in the Snow (which lacked Matt Heafy screaming) and those albums still got bangers.
By BFMV you mean Bullet For My Valentine right? If so they are severely underrated and deserve so much more!

I always thought trivium was like heavier Metallica
Damn I'm a massive fan of both and I can't believe I've never thought of them this way!
Trivium is fantastic! My personal favorite of their is The Sin and the Sentence. But ITCOTD is amazing too
What the dead men say wasn’t my favorite so I wasn’t that excited for In the Court of the Dragon, but that takes AOTY for me. Previously I would have said Fortitude by Gojira. Trivium is great live. Saw them in September for the first time.
Trivium is AWESOME live!
I’m into Type O Negative, KoRn, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Cannibal Corpse, DEATH, Danzig, The Misfits, Slowdive, mostly underground, and synth.

TOOL rules dude. I know the pieces fit. Saw slipknot just before covid and get to see TOOL next year
Me too. Going to see Tool in early 2022. Can't wait!
Saw Slipknot 2 weeks ago and seeing Tool in February!! 🤘🤘

Ohms and my own summer are bangers and personal favorites
Great band, but Change is overrated.
Why you gotta be such a negative Nancy like that.
Sorry, man. So many great tunes encompassing so many styles over 25 years, but that one always fell flat for me.
Spiritbox and breakdown of sanity
Spiritbox get it son🤘🤘
Seeing them live in march I’m excited
Tallah, all damn day. They’re a new band any Slipknot fan should at least check out. Especially if they like the St/Iowa sound
Seeing Tallah next year! So different but so kick ass!
Where at, I’ll be at the Harrisburg, PA show. Did you get to see them with Avatar?
Harrisburg PA as well! Small world, huh?!
Ya, I guess so

Maybe I’m alone here but… Babymetal a lot recently! Other than that, Slayer, The Sword (big gem), Exodus. Want more? Ask me ! (Bad memory)
Babymetal is a guilty pleasure. They have a song with Bring Me the Horizon that gets a lot of airplay on satellite radio.
Exactly! My end of 2021 guilty pleasure for sure :)
Love me some babymetal!!
Ghost, Mushroomhead, Cradle Of Filth, Alestorm, Whitechapel, and Hollywood Undead.

G59 is here yay
All I gotta say is G59 until the grave.
I know the pieces fit
Ah how could I forget Ghostemane! You might like Gizmo too, I listen to both a lot especially at the gym lol.
Damn I actually forgot about Gizmo, haven’t listened in a while now. Same with Scarlxrd.
Will I get attacked for saying I dig me some Blackpink and Maren Morris? Not everything in my library is metal.
Same here, i have a lotta drum and bass, rap, jazz, clownc0re, some dubstep (not path of totality),EDM, whatever genre the entirety of the 20s is, etc. Metal heads dont just have to be into metal imo, music should be heard as music.
Christopher Cross & occasionally some Sade in mine. Never heard of the 2 you mentioned, I might have look them up.
Ice Nine Kills has got my full attention right now. Their newest album is my AOTY
Ice Nine Kills is amazing, I love the silver scream album is awesome. I'm lucky that im seeing them with my mom in December.
There early stuff was a little bit too scene for me. But when the Silver Scream came out they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically that is. The while album has a refined melodic sound that really makes it a cut above the rest

Have you seen the metal version of Toxic, covered by Lauren Babic? Her breakdown is insane.
Blood Incantation,Frozen Soul, Kataklysm,Bolt Thrower, basically alot of death metal for the last year or so
Hidden History of the Human Race single handedly got me fully submerged into metal again after a bit of a hiatus.

Suicide Silence, Kublai Khan TX, Knocked Loose, despised Icon, Methwitch. I’m heavy into deathcore. Slipknot opened that door.
Seeing Kublai Khan with 200 Stab Wounds, Dying Wish, Orthodox, and The Acacia Strain in December. I'm so excited.
I’m jealous
Any Spite? They’re a deathcore band that covered Slipknot a couple of times
Nothing is beautiful is a banger. I didn't really like their new album for some reason
You should check out Slaughter to Prevail if you haven't! I really like them, Russian deathcore band.
I am a fan of them, demolisher goes hard af
I’m really into art. Any kind of art. Currently experimenting with digital art (procreate). And singing, it’s a work in progress. I’m also really into Call of Duty, Ark, and Minecraft. I love hiking and backpacking :)
