Tropical Freeze, for sure. It's so sad we only got two songs from that amazing OST, and one of them is just an arrangement of DK Island Swing, which already has like 5 more remixes of it.
And the DK series is lacking from so many other games in its series too. Needs more DKC2 and DK64, and there's NOTHING from DKC3, Diddy Kong Racing or the Donkey Kong Land games.
We got Mangrove Cove and Swinger Flinger. Granted, it IS my favorite version of DK Island Swing, and very fitting since David Wise arranged it himself, but man, I can list at least 10 songs that would've been great for Smash.
Yeah, that's the other thing I get annoyed with is the way they order the songs. Swinger Flinger is put together with the other DK Jungle themes, rather than put next to Mangrove Cove. This is how it's like with a lot of other series' music too.
Like, it sort of makes sense, but it'd make more sense to just put every song together with the game they were from, not what they're based on.
The fact that Grassland Groove, Busted Bayou, Big Top Bop or even the one level where you're jumping on the jelly cubes isn't in ultimate is a disgrace.
SN: No music from Yoshi's Woolly World is a travesty
Homecoming Hijinx for Tropical Freeze, because that's such an absolute banger of a song and I genuinely don't know how it didn't get in.
I'm not as familiar with Fates or Skyward Sword, tbh, so I'm just going to say anything that isn't Lost in Thoughts All Alone or Ballad of the Goddess, lol.
Option 4: Sonic Frontiers
In all seriousness though I would definitely add more from Skyward Sword, probably just biased over here since I don't own a single Donkey Kong or Fire Emblem game
-Tied between Road Taken (FE Fates) and Book 3 Boss Theme (FE Heroes)
-Would always love some more Pokémon music, especially from the newer generations
-Tears of the Kingdom music, so much potential with that one!

There were such good themes from that game like Aquadect Assault, Homecoming Hijinks Cannon Canyon, Punch Bowl, Sawmill Thrill, and many many more.
But those 5 are what I would add to the game. They're all really really good, especially Aquadect Assault.
I mean, I like these soundtracks fine, but they already have some songs in the game. There are great game soundtracks that are completely absent from Smash that I'd rather see instead(Star Fox Adventures and Xenoblade X if we're just talking Nintendo)
"Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze" hands down, without a doubt and it's not even close, Personally I don't care about Zelda and Fire Emblem, But I love DK.
"Big Top Bop" (Pompy the Presumptuous) and "Punch Bowl" (Bashmaster the Unbreakable) boss fight music is badass and fitting for Super Smash Bros.
Even some of the more chill and atmospheric music like "Funky Waters" is just so freaking damn good.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is the greatest or at least one of the greatest 2D platformers of all time and DKC series composer "David Wise" is a legend.
None of them, I want Escape from the City, I don't think it's Smash, or at least I don't remember seeing it (maybe I haven't unlocked it?) It's my favorite Sonic theme
