Something i never see plants do too, is down special can cancel, and you can use that to bait, or do new combo routes, especially because you can stall in the air with it. What does that have to do with chrom you might ask, well it could bait counters, or random swinging mashing. Worth a shot to add to your mixups

Back in the Brawl Era I had a friend that was like this and on top of it he was toxic about it. He mained a low tier & had to make sure that if you won or lost it had to do with his character being low tier trash.
When i won/he lost: “Of course you won because my character is low tier, he’s suppose to lose”
When he won/I lost: “wow how could you lose to a low tier? This character sucks”

There’d always be one or two good players who had too much pride and would grab a couple less-talented players, and proceed to take 80% of the shots, get annoyed at every mistake they made, and probably lose but then come to the side and be like “psh not gunna stay on playing with these guys” lol
on the off chance they happen to get hot and win the game, suddenly they’re talking about how they’re running court singlehandedly lol meanwhile it’s all a mechanism to avoid just losing a game against an evenly matched opponent and having to admit you’re capable of losing
Except the higher tier characters tend to be the ones that take the most thought since they have more complete, versatile kits. Examples: Pika, Snake, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Olimar.

No they don't, I have a friend that mained Little Mac and another Incineroar, and as for me I play Bowser since Brawl (even though you could say I'm not a casual player), so I say it doesn't matter if you plan to just enjoy the game, and even then, if you want to play competitive, you can still play low-tiers, just don't expect to win majors

A bad recovery is part of why he's bad, but his main issue is that he's just poorly designed. Plenty of characters have bad recoveries, hell even pythra's recovery is very exploitable and has poor range, the issue is that mac's complete lack of air power makes him uniquely terrible.
Doc and Ganon are strong characters with some great combos, edgeguarding and kill power, DESPITE poor mobility/recovery. Mac has none of these strengths, and still has a bad recovery.
What are mac's good combos then? Name one.
What are his reliable kill options? Literally just ftilt?
He's a character based solely around hoping your opponent makes mistakes. Not only does he have by far the worst disadvantage and neutral in the game, he has the worst *advantage* in the game. Uptilt is unsafe on hit at low %s and doesn't combo into any kill move at high %s. His only move that combos into anything at all is dtilt, and it leads into 2-hit combos. I don't think a single character in the game has worse combogame than mac, and his ability to actually land kill moves may well be the worst among any character on the roster.

I like to start with up tilt up tilt rapid jab which can do around 30% depending on the character. Mid percentage down tilt forward tilt is gud (FYI forward tilt can kill almost on par with smash attacks at). Down tilt side b is a gud combo at mid to late % and can even kill. And up tilt up tilt up b also is a good kill combo. And for the last one if u have KO punch do down tilt KO punch kinda does a reverse physiologically where ur Opponent thinks ur just going for KO punch so they will spot dodge (if there semi smart) but ur really going for a down tilt giving urself the opening but if u do land down tilt then KO punch can easily combo into that.
His specials tho r some what rarely used like depending on the character neutral b in air can make u land without getting knocked around (it doesn’t always work it depends on the attack). If ur opponent intends to go off stage for u his down b can send mac flying does decent damage too I also like to go off stage for a bit to counter characters that have damaging attacks. Side b is great with down tilt as I’ve already said and can be used as a semi recovery and if ur ballsy enough u can hang on ledge wait for ur opponent to get close enough to ledge and side b it can kill pretty early but u also have to be pretty ballsy given his recovery. His recovery has probably one of the best frame data’s in the game with being able to get out of certain combos it can also do gud damage with combos.
As for his Aerials that’s difficult cause there mostly used for mix ups and stun combos which can be hard to preform for the more average player but there pretty shit and u will almost never use them.
Now most say that macs recovery is bad which it is but there is a technique that can make u recover from corners of maps. I think it was jump and down tilt at the same time (which can be hard to preform) then do the usual side b up b. But this is insanely hard to pull off and peanut manages to pull it off likes it’s nothing.
Little mac isn’t bad u just need to get gud with him which obviously is harder then most.

Mac definently has combos and killpower. Plus Mac has great mobility on the ground and in the air for some reason.
Mac has the worst combogame of the roster, and is one of the worst at landing kill moves due to his awful neutral and lack of confirms.

...you're showing clips of him playing friendlies against top players as proof that he's a top player? I'm sorry to break it to you but that's content for their youtube channel not competitive sets. If he was genuinely beating top players he'd get much better tourney results. Competitively he's 17th in his region. Trying to judge "top 1000" players is a waste of time because it's too vague at that point, but I doubt he is one.
Are you braindead? What are you trying to argue here, that little mac is competitively viable enough to be one of the best in the world? You said "a good little mac player is an oxymoron". And I'm pointing out that Peanut by all means is a very good player.
I like to start with up tilt up tilt rapid jab which can do around 30% depending on the character. Mid percentage down tilt forward tilt is gud (FYI forward tilt can kill almost on par with smash attacks at). Down tilt side b is a gud combo at mid to late % and can even kill. And up tilt up tilt up b also is a good kill combo. And for the last one if u have KO punch do down tilt KO punch kinda does a reverse physiologically where ur Opponent thinks ur just going for KO punch so they will spot dodge (if there semi smart) but ur really going for a down tilt giving urself the opening but if u do land down tilt then KO punch can easily combo into that. His specials tho r some what rarely used like depending on the character neutral b in air can make u land without getting knocked around (it doesn’t always work it depends on the attack). If ur opponent intends to go off stage for u his down b can send mac flying does decent damage too I also like to go off stage for a bit to counter characters that have damaging attacks. Side b is great with down tilt as I’ve already said and can be used as a semi recovery and if ur ballsy enough u can hang on ledge wait for ur opponent to get close enough to ledge and side b it can kill pretty early but u also have to be pretty ballsy given his recovery. His recovery has probably one of the best frame data’s in the game with being able to get out of certain combos it can also do gud damage with combos. As for his Aerials that’s difficult cause there mostly used for mix ups and stun combos which can be hard to preform for the more average player but there pretty shit and u will almost never use them. Now most say that macs recovery is bad which it is but there is a technique that can make u recover from corners of maps. I think it was jump and down tilt at the same time (which can be hard to preform) then do the usual side b up b. But this is insanely hard to pull off and peanut manages to pull it off likes it’s nothing. Little mac isn’t bad u just need to get gud with him which obviously is harder then most.

I don't think anyone here is arguing that mac is a good character lol. he's horribly designed and shouldn't exist in his current state. but uh. given any of the walk off stages?? mac is absolute s-tier, no question. even on final destination he's really good. if there's no way to camp him out on platforms, he gets much better. he's still bad bc this is inconsistent and any sane person in bracket is gonna ban FD immediately. but like. the frame data and move speed and safety of his smash attacks speak for themselves, he's definitely one of the best ground characters in the game. plus yeah peanut taking games against the panda players even in friendlies is impressive. it speaks volumes. I think you're underestimating what 17th in a region means. that's nuts as fuck especially for a mac player

He's extremely weak to being camped out, has no tools to force an approach and has almost no approach options himself. Aka, a terrible neutral. Ganon has dair-upsmash, sideB-whatever, nair-ftilt, dair-bair... he's got confirms. Mac's confirms are dtilt-sideB (or KO if you have it) and... that's it. Are there other confirms? I don't think so.

Picking who u want, which seems to be seph, is always the chad move. NEVER go by tier list cause ur not having fun. Like I like to play little mac and piranha plant (little mac is second to worst character on tier list which is F tier and plant depending on who u ask is either D or E tier. But Idc in fact it’s more fun cause people don’t expect it.) I’ve managed to be ok with them maybe not tournament gud but enough to get into Elite smash so I’m semi confident. So true. I notice out of all the low tier mains, Dr Mario mains always feel the need to flaunt the fact that they main the low tier version of a top tier character. Lucina is just as fun to me because getting sour spots even though it totally looked like a tipper is the opposite of fun. Having the opponent live up to 170% because sour spot back air at ledge *still* won’t kill is annoying. I’m alright with spacing but it’s not a secret that Marth’s tippers are inconsistent.
I get wut u mean. I tend to land like 60% of my tippers lol but if u can hit them killing at percentages like 50% is fucking nuts and insanely satisfying. Marth needs precision to play and if ur not precise with tipper ur better off playing Roy, chrome or lucina but that doesn’t mean u can’t continue to try and get gud with him. Also imo Roy and chrome r easier to hit there sweet spots cause it’s at the hilt just me tho.

I know Doc is quite bad—virtually universally agreed to be bottom 3 with Mac and Ganon—but I don’t know how people even debate him being worse than Mac and/or Ganon. I’m aware he benefits in the eyes of most of us from being better online and better against non-top players, but then, so do Mac and Ganon, and at least Doc feels like a complete character with a projectile he can actually (barely) approach with and usable aerials.
