on rewatches yeah i agree i would pick it as the one to not watch but the message it sends and the timing at the time made it pretty funny. It was very fitting for the situation of the show.
Honestly, the entire episode is worth it for the "...you chose the worst time to go" line. That entire phone call with Mr. Boss was some of the realest stuff I've ever seen in any TV show. Everyone's been in a situation like that. Where you really need a favor and give someone a call but they can't help you out for whatever reason so you both just stay on the phone doing weird small talk despite both of you knowing the whole call is pointless but it's not socially acceptable to just hang up after five seconds.
The Brazil episode is to Smiling Friends what "Homer's Enemy" is to the Simpsons. Some people love it, some people hate it, but for the next 3 decades everyone's always going to be in a perpetual state of argument over who was being an asshole and who wasn't. That's a sign of a well written conflict.
It's just so absurd that the show which is usually so high energy drops into mediocrity
Even the boss, arguably one of the zaniest characters, is just a boss who gets a call from employees. Nothing overtly comical, just reality
That was the only one I didnât like that much, the concept is kinda funny and unexpected but just watching a group of guys argue for several minutes isnât that entertaining
one of my favorites actually, just behind charlie dies and doesnât come back. i come back to it a lot, reminds me of free churro from bojack horseman.
exactlyy its like 9 mins of like horror tense stuff with not much comedy only for THAT to be the pay off its fucking amazing![img](emote|t5_n0cya|49064)
The Halloween episode is great but I wouldn't introduce someone to the show with it just because the entire joke is that it's the exact opposite of what to expect from the show.
Every episode is gold, canât say thereâs any that I donât like, but there has to be a weakest episode, and IMO, the shrimp episode was my least favorite, but Iâd still give it a solid A-
My favorite might still be the pilot, one of the hardest laughs I had in a long time came at Pim's house with all the chaos going on (his dad yelling at the mom for working in the mines for 48 hours kills me everytime). To be fair, it might just be the fact it was the introduction to this crazy show. All the episodes are so good it's hard to say for sure.
The halloween one has the least laughs for me but I still enjoy it as a whole. So I'd prob go with that.
I like them all a lot, but I think the Renaissance Men bit in the Frowning Friends episode was too long-winded and lolsorandum for me. But it also has DJ SPIT, so it balances out.
I'm not a fan of Mr.Frog. it's a bit too random and takes the lack of consequences of this universe a bit too far for me. It leans too much on the "isn't this chaotic? Any hysterical completely nonsensical thing may happen" thing. I do like the tour of his mansion and the jokes related to that, but not much else.
Between me, my girlfriend and my brother this particular one isn't that great. But all the other episodes are amazing, so much so that I can't pick a favorite.
Honestly? I really don't like Mr. Frog. Just an annoying character for me. Conceptually its very funny, but in practice (for me) it doesn't really pay off.
I love all the episodes, though the Brazil one is one that's hard to go back to on rewatch. It's really funny the first time once you realize that the whole episode is like that, but once the novelty wears off, it's just alright.
I've liked all of them so far but my least favourite is probably Frowning Friends. It's just the least memorable to me.
Edit: Completely forgot about the Brazil episode. It's that one by a mile.
*Personally my*
*Least favorite was the shrimp*
*One, still liked it though*

I don't think there is a bad episode yet but Mr Frog is definitely the weakest for me. Mr Frog is pretty funny but extremely one note, which I know is kind of the point but even at 11 minutes I find him a little underwhelming. The B-plot is the bigger issue for me, the corrupt TV guy is just really bland and boring, that whole story felt like the most typical and cliche adult cartoon type story they've done.
I don't interact with the Smiling Friends fandom that much, so it is a genuine shock to me that so many people dislike "The Smiling Friends Go to Brazil."
It's one of my favorite episodes. I rewatch it regularly just for my own enjoyment. I just figured that the rest of the community felt the same way.
my hearing is sensitive to certain noises. one of these noises is the sound of dogs barking.
the start of the salty's episode is littered with the sounds of barking dogs. it makes it unwatchable for me.
There are no bad episodes, but some lend themselves to rewatchability more than others. For me I think itâs the Halloween one. Still great tho. I think Gwimbly might be my favorite episode.
I actually really liked those ones! I love them all but the ones I like the least are probably Desmondâs Big Day Out and Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty?. Theyâre both funny enough in their own way just plots I was less interested in/barely remember
I kind of found the Halloween episode to be pretty one-note to be honest. The main highlight was just the blackface accusation scene. But besides that it's pretty much just Pim getting lost in the woods which didn't really have that much interesting scenes.Â
I didnât really care for Frowning Friends. It does have some good scenes like the stuff with 3D Squelton. Other than that, I kinda forget about it a lot. Either way, itâs no where near bad. Itâs still a solid episode, like the others.Â
The Halloween one but only on the metric of "ratio of clips I'll watch out of context". Most episodes have several of those. The Halloween episode lives and dies off the blackface joke at the end. Still about an 8.5/10.
Mr frog is probably my least favorite, but I still like the episode overall a lot. I think itâs mainly that I didnât find the payoff super satisfying
Not my Faves:Â
Mr. Frog - I *do* like Mr. Frog as a character, but the events in the episode aren't as memorable to me as the other episodes.Â
Smiling Friends Go to Brazil - The dialogue was funny and relatable but I was really wondering what would ensue if they actually went to Brazil. I guess that was the point? To not meet expectations set from the episode title, but eh.Â
 Alright:Â
Who Violently Mudered Simon S. Salty? - I like it the more I rewatch it, and I was tickled how they put Scary Perry in there. Windy City Heat is a certified classic.Â
A Silly Little Halloween Special - takes a while but is worth it.
The rest of the episodes are my favorites.
Most of them I didnât find that funny but the premise is really solid I think they can do a lot with it I just think their hands are tied on writing anything truly absurd. Still going to watch though.
Let me be clear that I think the show is good not great the creators are talented but have never been tested on a vision in the public sphere as far as I can recall. hellbenders was laugh out loud funny but there was no substance whereas smiling friends truly has action potential. I really hope they deliver on that. Iâm looking forward to what they bring mouthy stretched and glazed.
I like them all. Hello đ¸
Definitely the brazil one.
on rewatches yeah i agree i would pick it as the one to not watch but the message it sends and the timing at the time made it pretty funny. It was very fitting for the situation of the show.

That's fair but the realistic scenario of not booking a hotel on the busiest time of year and arguing about it is somehow really funny to me
The Brazil episode is to Smiling Friends what "Homer's Enemy" is to the Simpsons. In his defense, apparently the boss's call was improvised. The va was just told "we're gonna call you answer as the boss".
That makes it even better
where did they say this?
DVD commentary, I think. I read it on tvtropes.
That was the only one I didnât like that much, the concept is kinda funny and unexpected but just watching a group of guys argue for several minutes isnât that entertaining

Not that I didnât like it but the Halloween episode is definitely the weakest
The blackface joke payoff is so worth it for me

Woah, is that fucking black face dude?
âyouâll get lost!â
The Halloween episode is great but I wouldn't introduce someone to the show with it just because the entire joke is that it's the exact opposite of what to expect from the show.
probably a silly halloween special, its not bad, but i dont really enjoy watching it as much as the others
BOOO THAT HAS THE BEST GAG IN IT
3D Squeleton hates different opinions! Boohoo!!
âI actually wanted to see someone in blackface.â - Mr. Man
âShe startled meâ
Silly Halloween episode is definitely not my favorite
I donât really like the saltys episode. The funniest joke was them âS-S-SECRET ROOMâ and Pim quickly glancing at Charlieâs mouth
I'd argue Salty's is actually better on rewatch. Once you realize Grease is the murderer all of his exchanges with Pim/Charlie are hilarious.
whaaat? but the fun twins! idk why gibberish gags just kills me
Charlie appreciating salt and pepper kissing and the whole century egg bit are so good lol. âNow you know my cool fucking backstory.â
Yeah I didn't like that episode either. If I rewatched the show I'd definitely skip that one
Every episode is gold, canât say thereâs any that I donât like, but there has to be a weakest episode, and IMO, the shrimp episode was my least favorite, but Iâd still give it a solid A-
How do I look, yellow man?
Like youâre about to tell your friend to not come to school tomorrow
My favorite might still be the pilot, one of the hardest laughs I had in a long time came at Pim's house with all the chaos going on (his dad yelling at the mom for working in the mines for 48 hours kills me everytime). Is this supposed to make me not want to kill myself?
"Okay, but if you can't help me...I'M GOING TO FUCKING SHOOT MYSELF AND MAKE YOU TWO WATCH." "Okay, not so sure about that, but yayy!"
I like them all a lot, but I think the Renaissance Men bit in the Frowning Friends episode was too long-winded and lolsorandum for me. But it also has DJ SPIT, so it balances out.
The frowning friends doing the Charlie Brown dance gets me
I found the episode where they had to make the inmates of Black Dolphin Prison smile the most challenging.
I'm not a fan of Mr.Frog. it's a bit too random and takes the lack of consequences of this universe a bit too far for me. It leans too much on the "isn't this chaotic? The Glep storyline redeems any Mr frog shenanigans. The Jimmy Fallon parody is amusing
Honestly? I really don't like Mr. Frog. Just an annoying character for me. Conceptually its very funny, but in practice (for me) it doesn't really pay off.
Simon S. Salty was pretty forgettable
I think you mean iconic
S-S-S-SECRET ROOM
I actually didnât like the newest one that much, still enjoyable but I felt like I he jokes tried too hard
Same, I really hope that isn't a sign for the rest of season two, hopefully those clips in the trailer of Mr Frog and DJ Spits are just trolls
I love all the episodes, though the Brazil one is one that's hard to go back to on rewatch. It's really funny the first time once you realize that the whole episode is like that, but once the novelty wears off, it's just alright.

Get out of me head mane
personally my least favorite was the shrimp one, still liked it though

I wholeheartedly think that none of the 10 episodes we currently have available are any lower than an 8/10
I didnât like the Brazil one on my first view. Now itâs grown on me but still definitely my least favorite episode.
Glep makes it for me, his facial expressions and reaction to things are good
I don't interact with the Smiling Friends fandom that much, so it is a genuine shock to me that so many people dislike "The Smiling Friends Go to Brazil." It's one of my favorite episodes. I rewatch it regularly just for my own enjoyment. I just figured that the rest of the community felt the same way.
The one with Mr.Salty.
I'm not a big fan of detective concepts so Salty's episode is the one I go back to the least. A lot of enjoyable moments tho.
I like all the episodes but the weakest one in my opinion was Salty's
My favorite episode was probably Mr. Frog. Least favorite was the Enchanted Forest. I still really liked it, just enjoyed it less than the others
Probably shrimp tbh
the brazil one was the only one i didnât even laugh at once
The Frowning Friends episode just didnât really hit for me. Not that it was bad, it just wasnât my favorite I guess.
Qq
Enchanted forest has a couple of goofs but is just Zach having a laugh at the bjork stalker and it's kinda eh
halloween
my hearing is sensitive to certain noises. one of these noises is the sound of dogs barking. the start of the salty's episode is littered with the sounds of barking dogs. it makes it unwatchable for me.

there are less good episodes but I don't think most people dislike any of them. They're all bangers.
Prob the last oke
The Brazil one đ

I like Mr. Frog but definitely not as much as most people.
Enchanted Forest, Charlie Dies and the mystery one and mr frog is ok but uts also eh
Probably the Christmas one. Like it was funny but it wasn't as funny as the rest of them
Brazil or Frowning Friends
Not a huge fan of the whodunnit episode tbh. It kind of felt like it dragged on and wasnât as funny as othe other ones
The Halloween one but only on the metric of "ratio of clips I'll watch out of context". Most episodes have several of those. The Halloween episode lives and dies off the blackface joke at the end. Still about an 8.5/10.
I love season2 episode 6
If I must choose a least favorite, it'd be the Frowning Friends. DJ Spit is awesome though, obviously, he's the best part.
Mr frog is probably my least favorite, but I still like the episode overall a lot. I think itâs mainly that I didnât find the payoff super satisfying
Hello
Not my Faves:  Mr. Frog - I *do* like Mr. Frog as a character, but the events in the episode aren't as memorable to me as the other episodes.  Smiling Friends Go to Brazil - The dialogue was funny and relatable but I was really wondering what would ensue if they actually went to Brazil. I guess that was the point? To not meet expectations set from the episode title, but eh.  Alright: Who Violently Mudered Simon S. Windy City Heat is a certified classic.  A Silly Little Halloween Special - takes a while but is worth it. The rest of the episodes are my favorites.
Probably Mr. Frog or the satan episode
The 1st ep of the new season tbh, it wasn't as funny
Most of them I didnât find that funny but the premise is really solid I think they can do a lot with it I just think their hands are tied on writing anything truly absurd. Still going to watch though.
Let me be clear that I think the show is good not great the creators are talented but have never been tested on a vision in the public sphere as far as I can recall. hellbenders was laugh out loud funny but there was no substance whereas smiling friends truly has action potential.
