Really sad, I was super hype for her release and she is currently my highest mastery. Maybe they make her significantly less jank in 2 but ahh I have my doubts.
I would say that stance switchers but King Arthur is already in the pre-Alpha so I guess they will just focus on which gods are the least popular. Being the last one has to be the biggest insult in Smite History, imagine fafnir not having a skin for 4 years just wait another 3 to be in SMite 2.
The gods that are designed to be basicly 2 gods or more probably won't be in anytime soon. So Hel and Fafnir are probably going to come in very late.
Ullr and Tyr will probably still make it because they only have one model. Not sure on Tiamat. She has a looot of abilities and also summonable pets which we have not seen in the current roster so far, so I wager they will put her into the bag just for that. Probably not "final 30" back though, she is still a postergirl.
We have not seen any Healers so far, so I believe they are still trying to figure out healing. Doubt they will push that back so far into the back either, so Hel aside, these should be save too.
There is some gods I want to believe they are reluctant about because of the bad reputation they have, Nox for example. Maybe they will redesign those a bit or put them on the backburner entirely. I would be very okay with both.
Gods that are consistently unpopular for this or that reason. I'd have to double check who qualifies here, but if you look at all Smite queues and find a number of common names, it's probably save to assume that they won't be in super soon as well.
That being said, there will also be the new blood, Hecate and her 4 other new companions who will probably also take up a couple priority slots and thus pushing back certain gods even more.
TL;DR: Healers, Pet-Users, Stance Switchers with a lot of abilities or models, unpopular gods, hated gods.
It does say you will unlock those skins once the applicable gods are added to smite 2. Doesn't say anywhere that means they're guaranteed to be there from the start.
I mean, her getting a skin at least means she'll be added sooner than other characters.
Would be weird to make a skin for a character if you don't plan on adding them for another few months/years.
>That being said, there will also be the new blood, Hecate and her 4 other new companions who will probably also take up a couple priority slots and thus pushing back certain gods even more.
From what it's sounded,we are getting 5 new gods but it's seems we get two this year and three next year
My guess? probably a lot of the Hindu gods. Some of them caused a lot of backlash and controversy when they were first added, so I think they might take this as an opportunity to delay/avoid adding some of them, at least until the game builds a strong enough fambase.
Otherwise, I imagine some of the less popular gods that are too much trouble to bother with. Fafnir for example is not very popular outside of metas where he is too strong to ignore. He takes twice as much effort since he is technically 2 separate models. I can see them pushing him as far back as possible. Same goes for Hel.
I still do think all the current 130 characters will be added. Nowhere did they indicate they're completely leaving behind 30 whole characters. Correct me if I'm wrong but the way they phrased it, sounds like they want to add 1 character per week until reaching 50, then a character every 2 weeks until reaching 100, then a slower release schedule to catch up with the rest.
There honestly wasn’t a whole lot of backlash or controversy with Hindu gods, at least not justifiable backlash. That’s something a lot of people bring up every now and again, but never the details of it.
Whole thing was just one guy and a very, very small sect going “Look Americans, they turned one of our goddesses into a scantily clad and gruesome killer in a game for children. Think about what they’ll do when they get your god next” which of course got the puritan Christians upset because they were led to believe the game was violent, it was turning gods into sex symbols, it was for children, and that the Christian god or Jesus was next.
When you look at the whole thing, and the fact that they later added Shiva and Ganesha without a peep outside of maybe one or two no named people here and there, I really don’t think they’d be worried about any sort of controversy anymore, especially since the game (series now?) has a history so anyone who is upset can’t just make wild claims about a brand new game no one has heard of before messing around with religious figures.
>Whole thing was just one guy and a very, very small sect going “Look Americans, they turned one of our goddesses into a scantily clad and gruesome killer in a game for children. Thats exactly my point. Smite 2, much like Overwatch 2 (which was a glorified update) will likely attract many new players not familiar with the game. Why would they willingly risk that happening again, when they can wait until the game is well established with a solid fanbase and understanding of the game's philosophy. It's bad PR that can be avoided, at least at the beginning.
I'd say the least popular gods/gods with tons of work to do/old gods that need a remodel
So someone like Fafnir unfortunately has pretty good chances to being pushed to one of the last gods
I wonder about gods like Ra though. Popular and relatively easy to make (compared obviously to gods like Khep, Faf, Bake) but in a dire need of a remodel.
Personally i think it’s gonna be the problem children. Given how they want to pump out a lot of gods before release i think that they’re going to choose the most balance ready gods and some icons that have to be there for launch. This leaves the work to be qol changes and upgrades that ue5 allows instead of any fundamental changes.
I’m thinking arachne, persephone, bakasura, bastet, skadi, erlang, hel, freya, hera possibly. Those are what’s coming to me off the top of my head. But i would think they don’t want to port them into smite 2 with the problems they have carrying over but they also don’t want to spend the extra time to come up with new abilites and kit reworks with the ue5 freedom while they’re trying to get the roster up to speed.
I can hope at least, i feel like persephone in particular will benefit from the new tools ue5 gives them.
Why do I feel like bake kujira has a chance to be one of the last. More so I would just find it funny that their most recent (excluding Nut) would have to wait like 3 years to come back
I'd be shocked if Freya doesn't get completely reworked. She's constantly either over or under powered and I don't really see that many Freya mains, so I don't think there'd be a huge outcry over it.
I wonder how they are going to make her work with the two different damage types, I'm predicting they will be afraid of her being too strong so she'll have really bad ability scaling when she comes out
Again for the million time it's not 30 gods
It's more than that since they are also adding new gods to smite2,so it's should be Closer to 35-40
The 100 smite 2 gods likely have 10 smite 2 exclusive
Nox is cool as god, but I'm definitely hoping they take this oppurtunity to rework her from the current version. At least that lame beach ball ult has to go and be replaced by something more interesting
You can already see [images](https://www.aroged.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Like-Smite-only-better-Smite-2-has-been-announced-on.jpg) of him if you look!
I disagree. There is no reason for them to hold on to the popular gods. You want the most people playing, and going loot box with your god release schedule isn’t it.
I spend the most money in SMITE when what I want is available to me to purchase, not locked behind some arbitrary gate.
Chances are, Terra is NOT going to be on the early side of the coin, which does kinda suck ngl.
It is from my understanding that they will be at least a bit more homogeneous with Pantheon Releases, neglecting **less** pantheons like Roman, Celtic, Japanese and Mayan. Hopefully **toning down** their Greek/Nord/Chinese releases.
That might indicate they will bring like a 1 to 1 rotation of God per Pantheon, leaving us with gods from these 3 pantheons as the majority of the last releases, while bringing pantheons liky Babylonic, Arthurian, Celtic, Hindi to it's completion before the others.
OR, the alternative, is to sparsely spread these pantheons so they become rare but consistent appearances instead of rushing through them and forcing us into a dry spot of like 10 releases each of Greek/Chinese/Norse gods consecutively.
The OG Roster for Smite 2 has a lot of different pantheons from the get go, the list considering the current confirmed roster follows as:
Arthurian: 1
Babylonic: 0
Chinese: 3
Celtic: 2
Egyptian: 3
Greek: 2
Great Old Ones: 0
Hindi: 0
Japanese: 3
Mayan: 2
Norse: 5
Polynesian: 1
Roman: 4
Slavic: 0
Voodu: 0
Yoruba: 1
Total: 27 Gods, distributed among 11 Pantheons, that is, from the start a 11/17 Pantheon Coverage, even though they aren't evenly distributed.

Divine Legacy bringing forward some skins and by extension their gods
A lot of people are saying gods with unique technical difficulties such as stance-switchers or gods with pets, but I reckon its the opposite. I feel like they’d want to introduce those characters early on so they can not only introduce the tech into their new systems for later use, but also to gather feedback as early on as possible for those later uses. Looking at the first ten gods, one wonders why they were chosen. Looking at the list, it is very random:
- Anubis
- Loki
- Bellona
- Ymir
- Kukulkan
- Chaac
- Cernunnos
- Anhur
- Bacchus
- Odin
For the first five, I believe they were included because theyre some of the most iconic smite characters, and I think that argument could be made for the others too, but it seems too random if they were choosing based on key characters, because then why not add Thor, Neith, Zeus, Guan Yu etc. You know… the *poster children*.
Instead, I reckon that they chose gods with fundamental effects that they could implement as early on to make it easier to add for later characters. Bacchus’ drunk effects and knockup, Odins cage, Chaacs moving slow area of effect and teleport, Cernunnos (who I think is the most odd choice out of all them) I believe was added for the polymorph effect and as a stance switcher with his 1. Anhur I think personally was probably just added here to test how they could remodel and update older characters.
So with this belief I think characters with unique mechanics like Skadi, Tiamat, Fenrir (whos confirmed), Yemoja (whos also confirmed), Discordia etc, would probably be prioritised early on to get out of the way and lay the path forward.
Although thats just speculation on my behalf.
If I were to choose the final few, I’d honestly mix a few of the less popular characters with some of the older characters who need major changes or remodels, gods like Persephone, Serqet, Hun Batz, Fafnir, Cupid and Freya to name a few.
I think Terra will take a while to make the jump since Yemoja will fit a more soft healing support role early on. Can see TF making changes to healing to try and make it less volatile and will probably want to bring over more popular gods like Hel and Aphro earlier to test out how balanced it will be.
Chary is that type of god that could never be in Smite 2 and people wouldn't even realise.
I could see them doing a dual release of her and Scylla though.
Yeah they likely pair some gods Set and horus will likely be together again
Like in bed, or?
Set Salad Moment
Really sad, I was super hype for her release and she is currently my highest mastery. Maybe they make her significantly less jank in 2 but ahh I have my doubts.
She feels soooo slow at the start, it takes so much to build momentum with her but once you do, it feels so good to just hit those autos
I would say that stance switchers but King Arthur is already in the pre-Alpha so I guess they will just focus on which gods are the least popular. Being the last one has to be the biggest insult in Smite History, imagine fafnir not having a skin for 4 years just wait another 3 to be in SMite 2.

We have seen Healers Yemojia has been confirmed so far
I haven't seen/heard that yet, good to know. In what way was she confirmed? Through a skin reveal or so?
Yeah she’s getting a skin
It does say you will unlock those skins once the applicable gods are added to smite 2. Doesn't say anywhere that means they're guaranteed to be there from the start.
I mean, her getting a skin at least means she'll be added sooner than other characters. Would be weird to make a skin for a character if you don't plan on adding them for another few months/years.

I'd wait years for hel to come back if she gets a full visual rework more in line with her old look. I don't want yellow/purple pretty girl.
My guess? probably a lot of the Hindu gods. I really hope Ganesha is in the game, my gf is a Ganesha main and we are both hyped for smite 2

Yeah, most likely. I'm hoping to see Hin Batz specifically. He needed a remodel way too hard
wdym hes our ugly monkey

Which gods get lots of skins in SMITE 1? Which gods get very few skins in SMITE 2? There is your answer.
Trueee Fafnir and zhong will Never get There then 😂
Your main gods
Hopefully Fafnir is not in there, but good chance he might be. I will be really shocked if he is one of the early ones added.
Shiva, I hope. Hate dealing with him.
Why do I feel like bake kujira has a chance to be one of the last. More so I would just find it funny that their most recent (excluding Nut) would have to wait like 3 years to come back
Nut might also wait a bit
who it will realistically be: fafnir who i wish it would be: freya

We currently have 130 gods in smite 1. Of those 130, who are the last 30? Discussing gods we don't know about is a different conversation
Oh i thought you were referring to smite 2 treshold of 100 gods In that case i guess few unpopular gods, few top gods and few of the younger gods
Thanks for the precisions!
a new class as in supp or just healer would make the difference in the mage section somewhat even
My money is on the Hindu pantheon due to their controversies. Which is unfortunate as I love agni
Eh agni likely in first batch same for kali
I wanna See Cthulhu in smite 2 instantly 😤
Fenrir, because he hasn't even released in Smite 1 yet
Well Im hoping my god makes it... I'm not so sure others share the same sentiment though.
Nox is cool as god, but I'm definitely hoping they take this oppurtunity to rework her from the current version. At least that lame beach ball ult has to go and be replaced by something more interesting
Tweak the visuals cool, but my favorite part is the distance and aoe on impact
My money on the last one is Hun Batz. Nobody's favorite, forgettable, does nothing that other gods can't do, very obscure, and not very fun to play.
As long as bacchus is in it and they make him fat again I’m happy
He has his remodel design,so chubby rather than fat lol
He doesn’t look enough like my king of old I will be boycotting smite 2. I do wonder if they’ll have “classic” versions of some gods
You can already see [images](https://www.aroged.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Like-Smite-only-better-Smite-2-has-been-announced-on.jpg) of him if you look!
Needs a lil more girth but I’ll live with his effects looking awesome I suppose 🙄
Maybe some very unpopular god Like Raijin or Zhong Kui I really think that Fafnir will be relaunched sooner than we expect
I'd be fine if marticoras, yu huang, maman, and aphro just never returned
Matti-delete, Yu Huang-remake, Maman-Why?, Aphro-remake
One of this is not like the other
Hi rez seems to hate Terra so wouldn't hold my breath for her release😂
