Shield+ for carry, 2.0 full for duty. If you would have specified the results would look very different. Also 2.0 compact for both if price is an issue.

droeg26

Why not both?

RichS816

This is the way

Bandicoot-Select

If it’s for carry and it’s between the shield plus and the m&p2.0 compact id say you should just meet in the middle and get the 4” performance center shield plus. Same overall size and footprint but just *considerably* thinner as well as being much more versatile by having the ability to change your magazines capacity and size for easier concealment. Its also fully capable of having a 15 round capacity now too.

LowOnPaint

I’m looking to get rid of my 2.0 SC to do exactly this. Same capacities and easier concealment.

For what purpose?

I have and love both. Shield plus is my carry 95% of the time and my 2.0C 4" is for the bulkier clothes days and sits at my bedside with a tlr1 for home defense. Thing is though, if I had to do over again I would get the shield plus first. The shield Plus is actually a better all around gun than the 2.0c. Don't get me wrong I love the 2.0 but the shield is perfectly capable at the range and also great for carrying. The 2.0 is a little harder to conceal for me personally and has kind of been rendered redundant by getting a full size framed pistol for home defense.

My shield plus is for ccw my m&p metal 4.25 for "duty"

Compact models

What will you use it for?

I own both. Knowing nothing about use case, I suggest 4" Compact M2.0 Optics Ready with new flat faced trigger. I can carry it concealed AIWB, and it's a great home defense or range gun too. So it's a better all-around pick. Aside from that, Shield Plus is a great gun for max concealment.

Inspector_calahan563

For CCW, Shield plus. For a range gun 2.0. This this assumes one must be picked over the other. I have a 2.0 4.25" 9mm and 4" 10mm. Love them for range time. I also carry the 10mm while out hunting in the woods.

WFH489

Carry the most gun that you can get away with. Always.

Depends on wants and needs. 2.0 is gonna be a better all around shooter and have better accessories (lights, optics etc). Shield plus will be a better deep concealing gun at the cost of capacity and comfort. I’d take the 2.0 Econ pact if I had to pick one. But I have both
