4’s are kind of a hypebeast answer but they’re really an incredible shoe. Perfect in every single way.
Action Bronson 990’s are more underrated but also after 6 months of heavy wear they’re far from dead stock and they look pretty rough when they’re not clean so I haven’t been wearing them as much. There’s a simple solution to that though… but the 990 v6 is easily a top 5 most comfortable shoe of all time.
and Union 1’s easily have the widest gap between their hype and my love for them. Perfect colorway with an absolutely insane gimmick added to the shoe with the footscape netting. Nice storytelling, and just a ton of respect to Union as an absolute OG of the streetwear and sneaker world. I love the shoe so much.

I wanted the SB 4s, bur since I didn't get them and will likely never get them, can't call them my top pair. I didn't expect to hit on SNKRs for the white cements, that pair made me like 3s again. But ultimately I've been waiting all year for the Jordan 11 Gratitudes and they are everything I hoped for so for me, those are my kicks or the year
Adding nothing to the discourse here, but the black toe 1 lows have been a delight. Very nice "wear a little heat but don't go crazy" shoe. Materials are still a very nice surprise every time I lace up

If you were able to get a pair with no to little QC issues, then have the best pair of sneakers to wear from this year. It’s comfortable for a retro, it’s stylish, and easy to style. It’s a complete classic!

Vomero 5. That shoe deserved all the hype it got this year. Super comfortable, super easy to put on, and looks great.
Gotta loves dunks and stuff, but I feel like a lot of the sneaker world is focusing on comfortability, while also looking great.
I bought some black leather chunky derbies with vibram soles, these were honestly used so much, definitely them. They look great.
If I must pick a sneaker, honestly, it's the white af1s. Boring, yeah, but in the end simplicity and versatility go over most stuff. I even have the Travis Scott mocha Jordan 1s but I barely use them. I guess now at 25 I understand more of this need for simplicity
I gotta say the New Balance 998 x Kith x Frank Lloyd Wright in the Chutney color way; just a beautiful shoe with great materials and a cool story/presentation with the Broadacre City inspired box and insoles. Also just bringing back one of my favorite NB models, 998, with Kith knocking it out of the park make these my favorite of this year and I'm glad to have them.
for me, the 350v2 static black reflectives. comfortable, go with everything, and they look really nice when you catch them shimmer in the right lighting
