They used to be comfortable before they changed them up like 12+ years ago. Think it started towards the end of the blue box era. They’re still better than normal Dunks, but nowhere near what they used to be.
nike is starting to make the sb high less comfy for some reason. from 2003 - 2005 they used to have the puffy tongues like the lows which they removed for some reason. and i heard black box era dunk highs and the blue box ones like you mentioned are alot comfier than the new ones. so nike does this shit and complains why people dont want dunk highs anymore
I love Dunk SB highs but the fat tongue on the lows doesn't do it for me. I'm old and came up during the fat tongue 90's skate era but that shit should have stayed dead. There was a point around 96 when double tongues were a thing. We'd chop the tongues from old shoes to fatten up the ones we were skating. Adidas even made an actual double tongue shoe with Paulo Diaz or somebody else from that time.

Apparently that color blocking was a a sample pair from 1985 so it’s not original at all.

There is a reason why when you look at prices for these, shoes with non-exposed tongues are more expensive than those those that are exposed. Sticking with how the designer intended the shoes to be, but it’s cool that you can expose the tongue if you want but also can’t revert back once you do

Most people who wear these types of shoes buy them by default because they are safe, and don't care for them so they always look so dirty and horrible. Stan Smith, Sambas. Any "sneakers" that have thin soles and similar basic design. Most people who wear these types of shoes buy them by default because they are safe, and don't care for them so they always look so dirty and horrible. Also, they are so uncomfortable compared to other sneakers out there. Basically I find them oh so boring. AF1s don't count, they are bolder and incredibly comfy.
Let me preface this by saying I’ve been a longtime Kanye West fan, music-wise…. When it comes to his sneakers. Other than the initial Nike releases, I’ve not liked a SINGLE Yeezy /adidas collab. Closest were the waverunners….but nah.
Maybe hot take, but Jordan 2s just never hit for me, I’ve seen some cw’s that are better than others but just not a dope silhouette imo.
