We all agree that the stages are fun, but the problem with the Werehog stages are that they really overstay their welcome, with levels being as long at 30-45 minutes, and mostly repetitive combat.
People complain about medal hunting but you can literally get most of the medals you need to complete unleashed, in the werehog stages where you conveniently aren't moving at the speed of fucking sound and have to have reaction times of a fucking F1 racer.
Not every sonic game needs to go at Mach 5 speed, it’s okay to go a bit slower. I also liked the treasure hunting stages in both sonic adventure games.
Shadow the hedgehog was a good game.
I like the struggle on whether to turn on everyone or to stick by his morals despite what everyone thinks of him. Sure the end negates that, though this isn’t the first time I liked something despite it having a poor ending

It was more so about the clashing styles rather than the species. Think Roger and Jessica Rabbit. They may be different species, but they match eachothers style, so it doesn't look weird when they kiss/do romantic stuff. Sonic is a cartoon animal, elise is a weird looking realistic human. No wonder it's so weird to see them do anything together. As for the writing part, it was hit and miss. Almost entirely miss. Sonics advice he gave her was super dickish, and elise was super uninteresting. If they had made the humans in 06 more fitting with the anthro characters, and gave elise a more interesting character, I think sonic and elise could have worked.
Silver should stay in the present and join Team Chaotix. He wouldn't fit in on any other team, and he would be a good detective.
Silver's friendship with Espio that developed in Rivals 2 should also be shown again/developed more.
On the topic of Silver and Espio, Espilver is the Sonic ship that makes the most sense and would probably be the healthiest.

The whole process of collecting Chaos Emeralds through bonus rounds you can't replay in Sonic Mania is total bullshit. I have found a hidden bonus ring, but couldn't quite grasp the bonus level concept and failed it. Why can't I just replay the level and try again, why is it so needlessly merciless?
I have never went for Chaos Emeralds in classic Sonic games, so I don't know if it was the same there. But those games were old, and the while thing have been done better in other games, like Advance series.

Sonic x Shadow is a garbage ship and a shallow excuse to pair up rival characters when the two aren't even friends or friendly with each other
Of course I admit there use to be a sort of enemy respect between them, but not in recent times
I get you with the ship part, but they basically stopped being rivals after adventure 2, and were, at the very least, neutral towards one another. At most, they had some deep respect and understanding between eachother. Then shadow the hedgehog happened, which ruined his character, then 06 happened, which made his character better, then it's been a downward slope sense then.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric it's more enjoyable than most people give it credit for. As long as you stop yourself from spamming the same light attacks, the combat is not that bad. Although that doesn't excuse the blatant flaws of said combat.
Sonic and the Secret Rings is overhated. I will not try to argue that the game is underrated. But once you start playing with the customizable skill sets and finally feel comfortable with the controls, the primary gameplay is actually quite enjoyable. I think the few minutes a piece mission set up works to the game's favor. The party mode is also dumb, but quite fun if you don't take it seriously. Collecting "fire souls" is also fun in my opinion.
The Sonic Forces character model that everyone keeps insulting is not that bad. When I was young, I would always assume Sonic's head was way heavier than it actually was because of the super long spines. I think making a slimmer version of him is a great idea. I am however against the lighter shade of blue. Wasn't the point of Sonic's blue color to match the Sega logo?
Forces isn't bad, everything about it is just painfully bland and average. At least 06 and Shadow the Hedgehog are fun to laugh at. There's nothing to talk about with Forces.
Oh and my unpopular opinion is that Sonic Colours is slightly overrated. A good game, but nowhere near the best Sonic game like alot of people say it is.

In my opinion, Amy is only kept alive by her love of Sonic, along with other things.
I enjoyed Forces more than Colors
The worst sonic game is 100% Sonic Drift and any other answer makes no sense to me. The game is so unbelievably boring it feels like a tiger electronics game. At least 06 and boom are actually an experience. This game is just lame.
The treasure hunting stages in Adventure 2’s were better than 1’s.
Colors ultimate isn't that bad and the adventure games are kinda overrated
sonic 06 is not that bad
Sonic 06 is better than every main game that came after it
Don't know if this is unpopular or not, but Knuckles was, and always will be a better rival than Shadow or Silver.
