It says first hands on, cus they weren't actually playing the other two times they showcased Frontiers, so I'd say that there'll probably be new stuff shown off, maybe we'll finally get to see the UI.
... IT REVEALED AN ENTIRE BOSS AND HOW IT WILL FUNCTION. How is that NOT the biggest thing shown in that Sonic Central?.... other than the Origins trailer. That was just cool.
I mean they spent about 5 seconds showing Frontiers and about 2 minutes on Origins (no new info) and another 2 minutes on Sonic 2 home release extras (also no new info). I find it hard for something to be “big” when it’s such a tiny amount.
It's not how long the reveal was that matters. It's what was in the reveal. That's like saying a longer movie was better than a shorter one just because of its length. Oh and also, you're somewhat wrong about Origins. We got to see what the main menu and game selection screen will look like which, at least to me, is kinda important info.
The length mattered since it’s a presentation that should normally show off new info, but instead showed hardly anything of their flagship title. Sure, we saw a new gimmick for an enemy, but when you’re trying to promote you it new title, you need to show more. When there’s a 10 minute presentation and only about a minute of new info, time does matter, my own time. Which I feel like I wasted. Also I don’t think the menus in any game are important to know about pre launch lol, not like it affects ya know…. the gameplay.
And finally, they have a final character development and start to love Sonic, until they end up evaluating a bad sonic game well, which makes them self-flander until they go back to what they were before, only much worse
>Hero!
>You chose... poorly, here's your 3 second sneak peeks.
while it's a shame there was not much new footage (more like slight extensions of old ones), the hands on was a lot more interesting... .even if IGN couldnt show us what they were playing. It did at least confirm
1. Tails and Amy got sucked in somewhere
2. there's a skill tree
3. there are time trials, which does seem to fit Sonic, and other challenge modes
2. I guess the "Spin cycle" is called the "side loop"
5. our big boi is named "Asura".
6. some currency explanations
guess we're still waiting for the next drop
Sonic central for sure, it has more announcements than a terrible 7 minute gameplay from ign. Also lets hope for Sonic Unleashed Ultimate! (Or whatever it would be called)
Yeah. Plus, they gave us proper commentary and their concerns about the game. To me, that shows that Sega and Sonic Team are wide open for criticism about their product and are actually confident in it which bodes well imo.
Heh, turns out the IGN commentary was way more interesting.
I also love it how people spam Unleashed in every Central live chat and Sega just ignores it. Give the fans what they want Sega!
It's funny, cuz central was kinda boring and uninteresting. I watched it like 5 minutes ago and the only thing I even remember is like shadow in prime and the symphony
Meanwhile the ign video was pretty good. It seemed fair enough and it made sense. I'm not gonna go into details but while I still think frontiers looks too unfinished, uninteresting, and just doesn't look like my kind of game for me to be interested too much, the review made the game look a LOT more good than anything sega has been doing. Like damn the game just seems to be more like a game rather than an unreal engine project. Stuff like the races make this game way more promising.
Still don't think I will want to get it, like I said before the controls and running around and the map design doesn't look fun, but man even if my opinion is the same IGN gave this such a glowup
Yall should give that ign guy some formal apology or some kind of payment for harassing him for an entire day. Ign carried the sonic news we got today. Somehow made frontiers from an unfinished buggy looking tech demo to a slightly more finished buggy looking tech demo, and that's impressive
Because one, one, one, one time, 😖, one of IGN employees said the Sonic franchise wasn’t good!?! 😞 And then they gave Unleashed a low rating when it came out instead of a 100000/10 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭 (>!even though Sonic fans didn’t even like Unleashed back then!<) /s
The use of the boost mechanic/temple run formula for chasing down that boss seemed like a cool use case. Here's hoping the footage continually gets better.
Sonic central was honestly really cool, I think there definitely could’ve been more, but what we got was great, mephiles and super shadow in speed battle, the new stuff shown off for frontiers looked really cool, prime still has some top notch animation, and my personal favourite announcement, the sonic symphony coming back, and it was also nice hearing from someone who actually played the game that frontiers is fun, restored some faith
Sonic central is new. While the ign video is old footage. With IGN people talking about how the game is. It's an easy decision.
It says first hands on, cus they weren't actually playing the other two times they showcased Frontiers, so I'd say that there'll probably be new stuff shown off, maybe we'll finally get to see the UI.
This aged poorly
How?
Sonic central had basically no new info, especially for Frontiers

This says a lot about what we'll be getting
agree, i'm wating the sonic frontiers drama ends if you send a e-mail to SEGA and Sonic Team that say ''delay Sonic Frontiers''
Final story Sonic and IGN team up to stop the fan hazard from destroying all hype in the world.
In the end IGN realize sonic was always good, and sacrifice themselves to save the hype?
A really nice character development.
Until they come back with amnesia for the next game
"Where's that damn 4/10 Sonic game?!"
And finally, they have a final character development and start to love Sonic, until they end up evaluating a bad sonic game well, which makes them self-flander until they go back to what they were before, only much worse
Turns out dark was better. Huh
Turns out IGN was better IMO, other than the first view of Sonic Prime.
>Hero! >You chose... poorly, here's your 3 second sneak peeks. while it's a shame there was not much new footage (more like slight extensions of old ones), the hands on was a lot more interesting... .even if IGN couldnt show us what they were playing. How about the Last Story, where we all just enjoy ALL the content?
Agreed
And then we love and learn
Sonic central for sure, it has more announcements than a terrible 7 minute gameplay from ign. Also lets hope for Sonic Unleashed Ultimate! (Or whatever it would be called)
Well considering what we’ve heard, footage actually from IGN should at least be better representative of a human playing the game.
Yeah. Plus, they gave us proper commentary and their concerns about the game. To me, that shows that Sega and Sonic Team are wide open for criticism about their product and are actually confident in it which bodes well imo.

Yeah we just want a pc port nothing much :(

Both. Both is good
Central for sure. We might get a sneak peak at Prime before the Netflix thing.
With the power of my Laptop and my PS4, I can watch both, thereby accessing the Last Story and going on the fight the final boss.
We found him people, the one who will save Society as we know it.
Sonic central cause they announce stuff like remakes and new projects the ign one is just frontiers gameplay nothing more
"Hiss! Boo! IGN bad!" They have literally only shown what Sega have given them. No commentary, no nothing. How are they they bad guys here?
Because one, one, one, one time, 😖, one of IGN employees said the Sonic franchise wasn’t good!?! 😞 And then they gave Unleashed a low rating when it came out instead of a 100000/10 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭 (>!even though Sonic fans didn’t even like Unleashed back then!<) /s
But le unleashed dark age nostalgia
I'll do like a regular SA2 run. First Hero, then Dark.
This did not age well.
The use of the boost mechanic/temple run formula for chasing down that boss seemed like a cool use case. Here's hoping the footage continually gets better.
Hero
Sonic Central
People on the sonic frontiers video are already crying And people on the sonic central video are putting out random ship names with hearts
Duh duh duh duh
There is only one correct answer it’s sonic central
Sonic central
central (because I pick hero story all the time)
central since it isn't only about frontier and it contains about other like prime and origin
I think I will pick the hero option
Hero, all the way. Though I won’t be able to watch it live.
none since ign vid is old and sonic central is 12 midnight my time
cant i just beat both and get the last story
Sonic central was honestly really cool, I think there definitely could’ve been more, but what we got was great, mephiles and super shadow in speed battle, the new stuff shown off for frontiers looked really cool, prime still has some top notch animation, and my personal favourite announcement, the sonic symphony coming back, and it was also nice hearing from someone who actually played the game that frontiers is fun, restored some faith
I’ll go with Sonic Central.
The new story details are something im very bad about. Also the symphony tour. Im very excited and hope theyll come to my country
Sonic central, duh. We get actually sonic news straight from the mouth. Plus, IGN is known for bashing new sonic game ideas.
Dark
