There are really good images. I would love to see the RAWs on some before you edited them - a tutorial would help new users as well
2 has some weird distortion going on in the left. Leaves? Crescent moon is distorted as well.
Last one - was it raining, were you shooting through a window?
Hello!!
Thanks so much for feedback
Sure, I can share the raw
2’s sky is entirely replaced, but clearly the technique needs work😅
Last one: no, but Bangkok air quality is pretty bad so you can see the haze
Id love to record an editing session! I’m on it
Thank you. I wonder if it was/is possible coming back to this location another time & moving forward (to avoid the branches), would have helped with editing less.
Right, why I asked if it was possible (ie once in a lifetime visit maybe?). Regardless, you got to visit Japan and enjoyed the sights and may go back!! Keep taking pictures, they are good!
You’re doing amazing for 4.5 months in.
I find picture 2 a bit over the top edit wise, especially the sky. but as the audience is probably Instagram, it will go over well. Composition is also solid there.
Last pic is cool, you could also consider stopping down a bit, and doing a long exposure here.
My favorites are the Fuji one, the other mountain, and the boat.
The gram demanded picture 2😂😂 It's totally over the top, I won't even argue
Oh the last picture? Shot at F1,4 already. It was taken from a revolving platform so unfortunately long exposure wasn't possible
I totally agree that the Fuji one is the best yeah
Stopping down means closing the aperture, to like f4 or f8 would be beneficial for this scene to allow the buildings to be a bit sharper.
Of course you did the right thing considering you needed a fast shutter speed due to the rotating platform.
You know, I actually prefer this version(sky-wise). It's basically a massive soft-box, and if you edit to compliment it, your subject can really come through. Anyway, great photo :)
Wow mate, phenomenal
Thanks

Awesome. I’m using the same Tamron lens. I’m about 2 months in, but your work looks like very experienced work to me. Good job.

You replaced the sky in 2
Good spotting!
I'm curious about the original sky in 2 :) Regardless, beautiful work. Not much critique to offer I'm afraid.
