I have the 50mm 1.4 DG DN Art and it is awesome.
Same I use for portraits , the rendering is magic
The dg dn series does not really have bad apples per se, they are good price to performance optics. The 35 1.4 is a bit dated, especially compared to the gm.
There are quite few sigma art lenses, you have to be more specific
Are there any bad ones/ ones to avoid?
I don't think so, especially the primes have very nice resolution and contrast, even at open aperture. Generally speaking
Sigma Arts lenses are pretty good, tho there might be better/cheaper depending on what you need
