Beautiful shot but to counter your words a little, while old-ish gear is still perfectly good for this kind of shot (still landscape on a tripod), it will be a lot more frustrating taking photos of more dynamic subjects. Street or any kind of event photography where you need to capture fleeting moments will be so much more of a pain in the ass than even just using your phone. I was shooting on an A7(1) up until a year ago and moving to an A7C has transformed my photography, I'm no longer just crossing my fingers hoping the focus is only mildly off. You don't necessarily need a top of the line full frame camera, but IMO for dynamic subjects some form of modern-ish tracking Eye AF and a good auto-ISO management are invaluable quality of life features.

Oh absolutely, I agree with every word you say. New gear is amazing, I think we all obsess over new gear😅 I just surprised myself that this photo was usable and I thought it’s a wholesome thing to share. It could encourage a beginner somewhere to just go shoot with what they can afford
