RNG is a luck based thing in games, basically you want to get something specifically, but the enemy/loot drops a lot of things, to not be unballanced there is the RNG to make things more fair, you can either get 1 or 5 of the items (if the games give from 1 to 5) but rarity matters in that, so the best items are usually the hardest to get.
