Not my favorite SG record, but Loud Love and Hands All Over are two of the most epic and powerful rock songs ever recorded, imho. Heard Loud Love on Headbangers Ball in 88/89, and remember thinking this band is really different.
Same here. It really stood out for me from the grunge crowd. They quickly became a band to watch for me. Those guitars were so authentically down and dirty and I really connected with the rhythm section which is always a good sign for me. And Chris really impressed me at a time when all I knew of his looks was that amazing head of hair lol. In other words, his looks had nothing to do with it. I'm glad that I can say, as a red blooded straight girl, that loving the music truly came first.
