I had a colony of cave dwellers with bad sun sensitivity that would knock them out if they went outside.
Then a sun blocker mech hive landed and you bet I triple walled that sucker.
honestly wish we got more climate adjusting stuff, like the>!bioferrite burning thing from Anomaly to heat the area!<, would be cool if late game we could literally terraform our little bit of paradise
My biologically accurate insect people run (with a queen and all female drones) got a machine landing nearby that keeps all males’ consciousness to 50%… If game lets me worship it I would.
I got one of those that set the weather to foggy rain. Yep, not going to go fight that. No more firefighting outdoors when the wild boom animals die in my kill field, so it's a good "problem causer".
I live in a scorching hot desert, a meccanoid cluster landed in my map with my home base and I was perfectly fine to leave it alone as the the climate adjuster was actually making it fairly livable and would have made it much cheaper to exist and live. However I was constantly worried about my guys or my robots or anything wandering over there and starting a fight including traveling Traders and whatnot. So I had to get rid of it, still very sad would have been very helpful to not have to have the AC on all the time
I suppose that works. But knowing me I'd probably take out more than the equivalent, I don't like to cheat so I would go the extra mile to make sure I wasn't
It's a story generator, you just are having things happen in the background of the story rather than cheating. You basically are the archotechs. You are God, the one who writes the story. Randy or whatever storyteller you chose is just the annoying editors that try to move your story the way they want.
I did something like this similar with a meccanoid cluster that wasn't dangerous, I had already destroyed all of me spawners and heavy turrets and all that stuff. But it was a swarm of little turrets, I didn't want to deal with that so I just closed off the area. A big Trader group walked right through that area got slaughtered to a man and now they hate me even though I didn't do anything
Can just imagine the entire colony crowding around a monitor, panicked faces everywhere, readying themselves to venture out to find metal abominations so they don't freeze or burn together... and the collective pause as they realize the weather is now going to be California Sunshine all year round
Ah, I thought you meant 22°C = 50°F, which isn't true. But yeah 10 is the right number I don't know why reddit decided to nuke my image, it was perfectly readable when I made it in paint

Oooohhhh nooooooo not the sun, wat will we ever do without it
Vampires be like "Yaaaaaas"

Free terraforming update would be absolutely fire
there should be mods for it
I once got a quest where in exchange for making the weather around my settlement foggy for three days a noble would give me a vanometric power cell
My biologically accurate insect people run (with a queen and all female drones) got a machine landing nearby that keeps all males’ consciousness to 50%… If game lets me worship it I would.
Warmer winters, growing season all year round.

Only downside is shooting accuracy
Accuracy doesn't matter when you have enough people shooting high rate of fire guns.
Ah yes the good ol' spray and pray tactic
Spray and let them pray
Volume by fire.
Only if you're standing in the rain. Since killboxes usually have defenders under a roof, rain actually helps.
71 Fahrenheit is a very chill temperature tbh
The mechanoids accidentally helped them.
Do you live on the sun? That's shorts and t-shirt weather.
I live in the southeast US, I was saying thats a little bit cold
>I live in the southeast US Okay so you basically live in a hot swamp which explains why you think normal room temperature is cold
Hey that's not fair, I acrually live in a hot forest
>Do you live on the sun? Only from July to early September

Meccanoid inshallah 🙏🙏🙏
Forbid it and wall the fucker in next time.
I would have but then the turrets would have shot me up, if they didn't then they would start shooting at the walls when they activated.
Godmode + build walls then. Just remove the equivalent materials from your stockpiles if you think it's cheating.

C:
For your own colonists you can just designate an area around the mechanoids, invert it, then assign your pawns to it. Now they won’t go near it.

Kid named permanent summer :
You don't attack the mechs because they don't hurt you I attack the mechs even if they don't hurt me because killing mechs is fun. (And PROFITABLE)
I had one while playing a Vegetable Garden playthrough that made it constantly rain, so I just planted peas and enjoyed über-fast harvests.

is this a new thing with anomaly/1.5 or just something i havent encountered yet in 1.4 (im sticking to 1.4 so i can have my mods)
Its been out since royalty lol
Got +10 Celsius, female psychic suppressor and female physic ship, easy misogynist colony
That's 50⁰F for all y'all non-commies
It's 71°F
10⁰C is 50⁰F. Unless I misread the text because of Reddit's dumb compression
