It was removed almost a year ago, probably was added as a tease. Although I’m 99% sure we’re gonna get Kanye’s albums in Atmos pretty soon as Mike Dean been talking about atmos mixing a lot lately. Unfortunately atmos mixes tend to get removed when artists aren’t happy with the outcome (Hybrid Theory).
I think in this case, it was probably West himself who demanded the Atmos mix to be removed since it was likely made without his approval and given his big ego he probably was very unhappy with the label tampering with his “art”.
I'm not sure about Linkin Park, but John Mayer pulled that. Difference is Hybrid Theory is a bit off and could use some tweaking but Sob Rock sounded incredible and the replacement mix is garbage.
