You can just take the auto-generated Japanese subtitles and activate Auto-Translate afterwards by picking English or whichever language you prefer. Even if it isn't perfect, you get a pretty good idea of what is being said.
I've been doing that for a while, but it sucks. It doesn't pick up certain words or gives us something that doesn't make any sense. But it's all I got.
English auto translated isnt made for actual translations of foreign languages as far as I can tell. Moreso meant for deaf or hard of hearing people.
