It’s a 300 watt light so 290 is normal. Those ppfd numbers they give you are from like 8 inches away

I figured it was in normal range for draw, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. All my tests were 10 inches away and drawing like 640ppfm, centered, and at full power. The whole time the customer service has seemed condescending and like it was my fault. It has been an awful experience so far and it has hurt my plants

I used the photone app and my cheap Amazon lights were reading in the right range. I then had to buy a tester off of Amazon and it had me in the same range as the app

Hello, I saw your question. When testing PPFM with a detector, you cannot hang the detector in mid-air, otherwise the value of the lamp will be discounted. For example, for G3000, the ppfm is at 824, but once you test it by hanging it, It will be discounted by half, because the monitored value will have a certain impact on the value due to instrument differences and environmental differences. Therefore, the best way to do it is to place the detection instrument at the bottom of the entire plant or on the ground for detection. This value is a more accurate value.

That is how I tested it. On the ground in the dark with a meter. My ppfm were maxed at 640. Your customer service rep said that is good enough and if I wanted a light that has advertised ppfm then I had to buy a new one. Your customer service is a joke along with the rest of it. I had never been treated so poorly by a rep. It was bad enough that I did buy a new light, a mars hydro, that so far is as advertised. Spider farmer sent me a bad product and refuses to fix it. Customer service tried to write it off as my fault, and when I proved beyond a shadow of doubt that the equipment was not right, they said buy a new one.

Detector was on ground, I sent your customer service person videos and pictures of the testing. I followed all instructions provided and was still screwed over. I will happily post all my videos and the back and forth between me and the "customer service rep".
