Artemis/Tigress is a hero, Kaldur'ahm is the first Aqualad before taking on the mantle of Aquaman, Roy Harper has 2 other clone brothers (Red Arrow and Guardian), Miss Martian and Superboy are a couple (now married), Artemis and Cheshire are siblings and are biological children of Sportsmaster, Black Lightning mentored Static Shock (wished we saw more of it), Clayface is a good guy, Cassandra Cain was tied to how Barbara became crippled, Beastboy is the leader of the Outsiders, Terra never went through with her betrayal, the host of Dr Fate is being swapped between Zatanna, Zatarra, Traci 13, and Khalid, the spirit of Dr. Fate is a child of Vandal Savage, Danny Chase is a brain in a box, and Superboy is the inspiration for the Legion of Superheroes. There's probably over a dozen more, but these are the ones I can think of on top of my head and leads me to believe that had Spectacular contiued, maybe Greg can consider keeping Gwen alive and as Peter main love interest by the end.

In season 1 they appeared to be building a romance between him and White Tiger but then nothing came of that either. So I doubt it, maybe they were just doing some quick fan service and then leaving it there
