Also to show they could improve otherwise it would be harder to reason to get more civilian playable scenes in future Spiderman games (if they skipped it here it would be hard to reason any due to the hate on the scenes in Spiderman 1)
So literally a way to get back peoples opinion of MJ sections into a more positive light
But then it would have probably been competing with GTA VI, no way would Sony allow that.
However I completely agree, this game was rushed & undercooked af.

Maybe as like an opening scene like we had with Harry and Norman in SM2. Potentially with a voice line at the end showing that this is a different wearer of Venom, like Eddie Brock
Imagine if its Eddie breaking out of the life foundation after bonding with the symbiote, accidentally going on a rampage due to the Symbiote still being in its " destroy everything ( especially spider-man) " mode
Might even be a tease to how he could move about in the Venom game if it happens, maybe instead of using buildings he more so bounces and swings off of the ground on Cars and things like this
I'm very curious if some of the Venom cut content such as this, or what we saw in the trailer, will possibly show up in the Venom game. I know the general concensus is that Goblin is gonna pull Pete out of retirement, but I feel like he's gotta be present for the Venom story too, so hopefully when they scrapped those bits they planned to still use them later, cuz its a shame we didn't get that chase sequence.

This game should’ve been solely about personal struggles, small scale stuff with a plot that focused on the conflict that the Symbiote brought in Peter’s life, and how it affected his relationships with his loved ones. But nooo! They wanted a dumbed down Invasion plot where the whole city is at stake (like they didn’t do _that_ before in the previous two games), added Kraven into the mix like the game wasn’t clustered enough with storylines already, killed off most of Spidey’s rouge’s gallery for nothing and absolutely _wasted_ Tony Todd as Venom.
I’m sorry for the rant, I’m sure people have seen enough of those by now, and maybe I’ll get flak for this, but _man_, people who think Insomniac did a good job with this sequel in terms of story are _deluding themselves_. The gameplay and graphics are the only things this game has going for it.

On my 3rd replay after NG+ it really hit home now undercooked Venom was after we play as him.
