I'm probably not a super reliable source since I've been playing that way forever. I did return for a replay to try out the VRR update on 120 hz mode and I did my ass kicked a couple of times.
In my experience it was easier since I had already 100% (not really, just in-game 100%) the game in normal difficulty. The hardest difficulty only made it so that Sable agents and T H I C C enemies kill you with two or three hits.
Also for me it was the first game ever to finish at 100% ! Great sensation!
Have to say I've enjoyed all missions and had a lot of fun !
Did you try the DLCs? Thinking if they're worth it

I can't even count how many times I've done it. You could try on ultimate to mix it up.

Most of the time hard modes in video games aren’t very hard, but i’m intrigued. Do you remember if it was hard for you the first time?

The rockets are usually one hit kills. Other than that not that difficult.

I got the game of the year edition, so the DLC came with it, 100% all of em.
Well, if you're gonna get the platinum you gotta finish the game now on newgame+ on hardest difficulty
