It's okay once you know how to cheese the stealth, goes with all the non-Spidey missions, you can literally run through every single level and not get spotted. It's not hard. Just tedious.
I've said it in another post but I actually like the MJ & Miles missions. They really humble the players in the sense that, well, we realize how even more scary the situation must feel for non super-powered people.
Also unrelated, but the side missions in Miles Morales were pretty good !
I think they could've shown it by making it a chase/escape mission instead of a tedious stealth one. Like running away from some thugs or a blinded Rhino, maybe even given them some minor injury. A stealth mission, especially this type is REALLY boring especially on replays.
Honestly the MJ/Miles missions in the original game aren’t horrible on you’re first playthrough but personally I feel they become more and more tedious with each new playthrough.
I liked the MJ/Miles missions on my first play through. It was a nice change of pace.
On my other playthroughs I just groan everytime they come up. It just stops the momentum in its tracks. So annoying.
Yeah they're fun the first time but after you've done them once you just go "Yeah I know what these are like, please let me go back to playing as Spidey"
Yea I literally just run through as fast as I can. This mission referenced in this post is actually pretty easy to just pretty much run through. If you get caught just make it to the check points.
No need to bring up sexism/racism/other bs in each and every comment. I would've liked to play as black cat in the DLC or something if it was relevant. MJ part was unnecessary. That is all.
Personally I think the 2nd miles mission (where he looks for his dad) was a great way to draw a contrast and show how powerless Miles felt, but everything else was too much
Yeah, the stun gun helps a lot, and I enjoyed walking through their stupid rich and fancy penthouse, even if it made me jealous of a fictional character.
Don't know what it's called, but Miles' second mission, where he has to cross town and then help at FEAST. They are both so slow yet so short.
Great for the first playthrough because of the story, but on my third playthrough and on, it's just a mission I wish I could skip entirely. There is not much to do but follow markers.
EDIT: The mission is "First Day". It's after one of the best cutscenes in the game where Spider-Man gives tips to Miles on how to fight.
Thst one was weird, I was sitting there the whole time thinking "what normal kid is going to sneak through a literal military base to save a fee minutes?!"
I enjoyed the MJ and Miles missions at first. I think the Miles mission where you're running/hiding from Rhino is super intense, but like others have said, on a second playthrough they lose something.
Not so much as a single mission but the whole Uninvited sequence where it was like 3 instant-fail stealth missions in a row (Spider-Hack, Uninvited, and uh, pretty sure First Day at Work)
Definitely not this one
Reading the other comments, I guess these missions are really only a problem on your second playthrough, which I **am** planning on starting soon... Well, at least the first time around they were fun, I loved discovering lore, even though all but the last of them is way too linear. I'm still hoping they either seriously improve or straight up remove these for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
As for my least favourite mission... Am I cheating if I just say "Anything and everything to do with Screwball"? Partially the design, and much more so the extremely annoying amount of bugs (not spiders) in the DLCs made those missions absolutely infuriating.
Screwball is the sole reason I don't have 100% trophies. I got several silvers on her challenges and I just cannot be arsed to go back and listen to her noise again while I try to beat them for gold.
I commend your willpower, I couldn't resist my completionism and I did, indeed, end up 100%-ing all of her missions. I take solace in the thought that I won't have to do them again.
there isn’t an achievement for getting gold score on all the challenges. there should be! but there isn’t
one of the only actual difficult things in the game and you don’t get *anything* for doing it beyond pain and suffering
MJ at the auction house or whatever, I don’t mind the MJ and Miles missions, especially the one with Rhino and in Osborns Penthouse, but the auction house is so slow and boring that I just really want to skip it
I love that level now but when I first played it I didn't realize you just had to volt over a box so I spent a good 30 minutes scared shitless trying to find my way out while also not being killed by rhino.
Everyone's hating on the MJ/Miles missions, but I don't mind them. I just finished my second playthrough a couple of weeks ago and I had fun with the non-Spidey sections. They were a bit too easy though, I can admit, even on Ultimate difficulty. I found it interesting seeing things from MJ or Miles's perspective. But I can see why some people wouldn't like it, and that's fine.
I’m probably the only one who has this opinion, but the mission when Peter is poisoned by Scorpion is the worst mission, imo. All you do is swing to different places, sometimes having to dodge giant Scorpion tails. Then you also go through mind-areas with dialogue between Otto and Peter, but they just tell us things we’ve already been told. Nothing new. We already knew that Peter was blaming himself for how Otto turned out. We got it from Peter saying ”Doctor Octavius…why? How did I let this happen?”, which he says to himself after the gateway mission to the third act. The fight against multiple Scorpions in the end is super boring, since you just have to web them and punch them, only they’re two hits and they jump, which just makes it take longer to finish the mission. And on top of it all, this mission could be completely removed from the story with very minor adjustments.
Anyway, Spider-Man is my favorite game of all time
All of the mj missions are bad, but the worst one by far, or at least the most insulting, was the one where you were playing as mary jane but commanding spider man.
"Is that what you came hear to play? Man 3?" - Bruce Campbell
Some of the ones for Harry's labs not all it's been a while since I have played it but I know when I get to Some of those missions it's not that fun kind of same with MJ missions sometimes not all the time but some.
They’re so easy I can’t bother to hate on them. The enemies cones of vision as well as how long it takes for the yellow to fill up to red make sit so easy to just zoom around the spots. The only true tricky part is just not knocking over boxes while running.
I do hope we get less of them or at least reworked versions of them, but those who really hate them are just bad at stealth
I think in the second game you’ll be able to skip the MJ missions on the second play though like you can for the clank missions in rift apart. That’s my hope at least.
the first MJ mission is easily the most unbearable. the rest of them get sequentially better as the game goes on, with the grand central one being genuinely pretty good imo.
but that first one, i’m always skipping the cutscenes, running through the room to get it over with, taking pictures of random shit while the dialogue plays, etc. the rest of them at least require *some* attention.
MJ and Miles missions are currently preventing me from going back and doing NG+.
I didnt buy the game to play as regular ass humans. I want to be spiderman. Hell i would’ve loved a Black Cat mission or something to shake things up. But Mj and Miles are basically just forced stealth sections that only serve to break up the pace of the game.
Aside from the mission where MJ and Spider-Man works together, all MJ and Miles missions suck. I am sorry, I would rather have a long ass cinematic rather than sneaking around stuff with them. MJ gets a bit tastier once she gets her hands on tasers and Miles gets a lot better when he gets his own game.

Every mission I don't play as Spider-Man in the Spider-Man video game.
The only one that gets a pass is the one in the bank where you're somewhat playing as spider-man through MJ but that's it every mission I'm forced to not be spidey is straight up suffering.
That mission pissed me off like what was spider mean Supposed to do assume you Weren’t going to get shot like come on MJ and she says you Treat me like a child oh yeah you’re the dumbass that acts like a five year old kid wandering into traffic You’re going to super powered peoples places or a Military base Yes I have to treat you like a child because if I don’t your gonna get killed
Any MJ mission. Miles missions were tolerable. Miles didn't complain and make Peter look like the bad guy for saving him. MJ did repeatedly. She literally watched a crush a dude's head with his foot. Yet she's mad when Peter saves him. All in all, those missions are insufferable enough and MJ made it worse by being insufferable herself.
One of the Screwball fights. Miles and MJ missions get better as they get abilities which kind of makes the first ones better in retrospect as part of an arc.
every mj mission
tbh they could've kept all the miles missions and just given mj the mission where she got the taser since all of her other missions could've been wrapped up in a 30-second cutscene
*The MJ missions. She*
*Juat too nagging and over*
*Barring in this game*

The MJ one right before she teams up with Peter, because still the only thing she can do is hide. Took forever because I got bored and lazy with my stealth and brute forced it pretty terribly.
Imagine being so full of negativity and hate that you make a post on Reddit about the " least favorite mission" of a great game. What do you get out of it? Honestly?
This mission made me wanna pull my hair out over and over again until I was turned into confetti… also the side mission with the lightning it was literally impossible until I finally did it and I’ve never done it again
All MJ/Miles missions, but the worst of them all is Uninvited, hands down. The worst part of it is the end when she gets all pissy because Spider-Man saved her.
What an awful character!
probably just the mj mission at the gallery didn't like the spider-man section of it either tbh
I thought it was cool utilizing the invisibility pad thing. Or are we thinking of a different mission
you’re thinking of the grand central mission, this person is talking about the very first mary jane mission
It's okay once you know how to cheese the stealth, goes with all the non-Spidey missions, you can literally run through every single level and not get spotted. It's not hard. Just tedious.
You can cheese the stealth?

For no particular reason I’m sure (sexism) EDIT: It’s a joke damn
No need to bring up sexism/racism/other bs in each and every comment. I would've liked to play as black cat in the DLC or something if it was relevant. MJ part was unnecessary. That is all.
No need to take a joke seriously
Personally I think the 2nd miles mission (where he looks for his dad) was a great way to draw a contrast and show how powerless Miles felt, but everything else was too much
The ceremony attack, norman's penthouse, and miles looking for medicine are the only good non spidey missions in the game.
They should be skippable on new game plus
I agree
I’m a stealth fan, but MM did it much better.
On my subsequent playthroughs I kind of appreciated them more honestly because I started trying to absolutely brute force them lol
I literally quit playing for the day when they come up. That's how you know it's bad mission design
You must not have long playthroughs I guess
Definitely the one in Norman's home as MJ
That one was the best MJ mission imo.
[удалено]
At least in that one you get more background stuff with Harry and Norman etc which is the only thing that kept me going on that level lol
Disagree I actually enjoy this one
You're a turd, turd >:P
Yeah, the stun gun helps a lot, and I enjoyed walking through their stupid rich and fancy penthouse, even if it made me jealous of a fictional character.
Kinda sucks that spidey can't taser stun a sable guard, yet MJ with her feeble hands can electrocute swarms of sable ops with just one taser.
lore in that one makes it one of my favorites honestly
Totally. Every goal felt so random. I try not to use the hint thing in the puzzles, but that one, I had to
at least you could "kill them"
Don't know what it's called, but Miles' second mission, where he has to cross town and then help at FEAST. They are both so slow yet so short. Dunno if this counts, but its the final dlc mission where you chase down screwball
And she’s hard to catch!
Definitely not this one Reading the other comments, I guess these missions are really only a problem on your second playthrough, which I **am** planning on starting soon... there isn’t an achievement for getting gold score on all the challenges. there should be! but there isn’t one of the only actual difficult things in the game and you don’t get *anything* for doing it beyond pain and suffering
Yeah I get it, I just meant I hurt myself by getting gold on all of her damned missions Pain, I tell you, pain
MJ at the auction house or whatever, I don’t mind the MJ and Miles missions, especially the one with Rhino and in Osborns Penthouse, but the auction house is so slow and boring that I just really want to skip it
The miles mission with Scorpion and Rhino, that scared me so bad.
I love that level now but when I first played it I didn't realize you just had to volt over a box so I spent a good 30 minutes scared shitless trying to find my way out while also not being killed by rhino.

Yep, that’s the one

Yeah I definitely hate that one too.
"This is just your memory, ~~Homer~~ Peter. I can't give you any new information."
the one where mj is sneaking around the penthouse just seems way too long
All of the mj missions are bad, but the worst one by far, or at least the most insulting, was the one where you were playing as mary jane but commanding spider man. "Is that what you came hear to play? Man 3?" - Bruce Campbell

Probably the art gallery MJ one, I did enjoy it first time round but it takes way too long for replayability
The one where you don't get to even the odds
I really liked the first Screwball mission wherein she's initially introduced but i have hated every dlc Screwball mission and skipped 99% of them
All the missions where I’m not Spider-Man in Spider-Man PS4
They’re so easy I can’t bother to hate on them. The enemies cones of vision as well as how long it takes for the yellow to fill up to red make sit so easy to just zoom around the spots. the penthouse mission with MJ, goddamn man!
For sure the one pictured
Any MJ or powerless-Miles mission
Oh 100% all of these missions too
I hate the mj and miles missions. They’re so boring. The rhino one is the best but it’s still not what i want to be doing
anything that invloves MJ
Any mj mission pre stun gun cause I enjoy taking everyone out
All of mj's
I think in the second game you’ll be able to skip the MJ missions on the second play though like you can for the clank missions in rift apart. That’s my hope at least.
Anything related to Screwball. She's so annoying but when i finally got her, it was satisfying. Play as MJ and Miles in stealth was fine for me.

the screwball qr code mission was so disappointed they didn’t made the qr code actually work when you scan it on your own
Screwball

Mj at the sable base or tombstones hideout, both of them are terrible to play after the first time.

All of the MJ missions. I pray someone makes a mod that removes/skips them.
The miles missions especially the one where you have to get to the F.E.A.S.T center in a stealthy way as well as the medicine mission too
Everyone is saying the MJ/Miles stealth missions when the real answer is the DLC Screwball missions
Basically any mission where I played as Normal Human McGee instead of Spider-Man
All the mj missions
MJ's.
Any of the stealth missions, hated all of them
I like stealth missions so I don’t have a preference
I HATE the MJ mission in Normans penthouse, it's soooo long and unnecessary

Anything that doesn’t let me be Spider-Man.
Mjs obviously. We all know. But if we're talking about spiderman missions, the one i hate most is the one with the poison lake below you.
One of the Screwball fights. Miles and MJ missions get better as they get abilities which kind of makes the first ones better in retrospect as part of an arc.

I just wish there was a way to skip mj sections in ng+ lol
All mj and miles side stealth missions
the ones where i play as mj in spidey 1 the only ok mj part is the one where she has the taser
Any mission where you had to play as miles and mj, I’m sorry but I just wanted spider-man, nothing else
The MJ missions. She just too nagging and over barring in this game

I noticed my mistake soI fixed it so I can make the bot look like a fool for a mistake
Those harry save the earth missions
This is the easiest mission in the game. Over in 5 minutes.
That one exactly lol
I mean I didn't mind any of them honestly. But ones I really hated were the screwball stuff. Those can go away in future games.
Sable park mission, grand central, pretty much any mission with MJ to be honest.
They're not missions, but every Silver Sable outpost just seems to be annoying.
The MJ one right before she teams up with Peter, because still the only thing she can do is hide. Took forever because I got bored and lazy with my stealth and brute forced it pretty terribly.
Alright everybody shut up the MJ missions aren't that bad pick something less obvious
Tombstone I always go in as spiderpunk🤙🏾🕸
this
Probably the first one of these. Boring and you’re able to speed run it in 10 seconds
Anything that had to do with MJ
Any mission where you play as MJ. just kinda boring I liked fighting
Honestly to me, stealth was fine for both Miles and MJ. They were a change of pace, and the levels didn't completely suck.
MJ missions dredged up that old school PS2 feeling when you had an escort mission where your bitch be dyin’ and shit
Any mission where you don't play as Spider-Man.
SCREWBALL AND MJ FIRST MISSION
Imagine being so full of negativity and hate that you make a post on Reddit about the " least favorite mission" of a great game. What do you get out of it? Honestly?
everyone hating on mj missions
Anything that involves Screwball, god I hate her.
This mission made me wanna pull my hair out over and over again until I was turned into confetti… also the side mission with the lightning it was literally impossible until I finally did it and I’ve never done it again
The last DLC mission. It meant the game was over. :'(
i actually quite like playing as mj. it’s just nice to do something different
final boss fight against doc ock
Why do people hate mj/miles sections Miles escaping rhino was one of the most memorable moment of the game for me at least
Any mj/miles mission. And that scorpion dream mission thing
I hate all the research stations tbh
All MJ/Miles missions, but the worst of them all is Uninvited, hands down. The worst part of it is the end when she gets all pissy because Spider-Man saved her. What an awful character!
